Samsung 49" S9 Ultra-Wide Curved QLED DQHD Monitor (LS49A950UIEXXY)

Have been using this for a couple of weeks now and; - Ability to use a a hub/docking station is a great feature (1 USB-C cable is all that is required + it cared laptop) - Great for all applications I have used it for in day to day business including viewing complex 3D models. - I don't game so can't comment on how it performs in this area, YT videos work fine, HD movies are ok, but that could be a symptom of my current laptop more than anything else (Satellite pro C50-H). - Curvature is good fit for comfortable viewing - Unit as a whole is quite deep so if your desk is smaller than 800mm deep you may find you are too close to screen - Speakers are nice to have, wouldn't call them great but totally acceptable for business use. Generally very pleased with this purchase, works as expected, declutters desk and works as docking station, haven't bothered trying the KVM capability so can't comment on this.

I bought the 34" one and liked it so much I decided to go with the 49". Mainly used for work and some gaming but only games like WOW so for what I need it for its great, if your a hardcore gamer I would probably go for the Samsung ones designed for gamers as the RT and RR on this model are more business orientated. I like the one plug USBC that also has 90W charging and have tried it on my 3 laptops and they all run the screen but only my HP Spectre (i7, 8 series, 4gb graphics) will run the monitor at full rez so be aware of that if considering buying one. Recommended for the right person.

2x USB-C Ports - C stands for.... confusion?

i bought this monitor thinking i could connect two usb-c devices as inputs, with one being my pc and the other being my laptop or phone. however when i connect to the usb-c labeled 'pc' nothing happens. i can't tell if the port is doa or if i am just confused on as to the purpose. usb-c peripherals when plugged in are not recognized, nor does it recognize my pc when plugged. the monitor did not ship with a manual and the one on samsung.com doesn't explain the purpose of the usb-c 'pc' port. i called support for help and they were useless. the said i could 1. return the monitor or 2. have someone come and 'fix it.' he could not explain the purpose of the usb-c 'pc' port. i'm reluctant to even keep the monitor at this point.

BEWARE! Doesn't work with MAC

This could be great... if the product information was complete. USB C does not work for a Mac. My main reason for purchase was because Mac only supports a single monitor, but since this display does not support Mac over USB C I can not use any of the hub functions. I'm right back where I started with a hub for power and all my other USB things, and a USB C to DisplayPort cable to connect to this monitor.

Defective screen and limited replacement option

Dont pay full price but awesome

I got this for under $600 and it was the best purchase in a while. Syncs with macbook pro mac mini with no issues. Displayport to thunderbolt 3 cable and 120hz most beautiful screen you have ever seen. PIP mode is good not great. Can only split 1 hdmi source. other is displayport. avoid the KCM switch or built in ethernet/dock. Dont pay full price for this. If you get a deal this is a steal if you dont need the gaming hoopla. I also play xbox and ps5 while the ratios take a while to get used to with pip its my everyday.

Fantastic monitor for multi-tasking!

I purchased the monitor a week ago and immensely enjoying the large workspace of the monitor. I am currently using two computers connected and using the PBP function. The KVM switch is great for switching between two platforms using the same mouse and keyboard! I highly recommend this monitor for those who need multiple platforms and prefer the simple minimalistic desktop.

Good business productivity screen

Very good screen for business productivity. The 1.8m curvature is good, just enough. Wouldn’t go for anything flatter than this. The kvm switching is nice. Have it working well across a desktop DVI and laptop USB-C

Great monitor
