This will definitely be my final Samsung purchase for TVs, cell phones, washer/dryer. Not even thinking about going with Samsung for out new fridge, range, and microwave anymore. I'll be switching to Sony and Kenmore or some other reputable brand. I do not recommend this TV. It was basically pushed on us by the Best Buy store because it came with another TV for free as a limited time deal. It's clear now they were just trying to offload old junk on us. Probably not gonna be buying TVs from BBY anymore.

I absolutely love the TV, the quality of videos and movies played on it looks amazing and I was glad I decided to purchase it after I kept looking at it and debating. I love the fact that I don't need to change the input if I want to go from normal TV viewing to playing my Playstation 5. As soon as I turn on the console, the TV automatically switches over. The audio is fantastic, bass is subtle but you definitely hear the rumbling almost to the point where you can feel it. It's super easy to play something from my Galaxy phone on the TV as well. There's a wide selection of apps if you happen to use the TV instead of a Roku or Firestick, which I prefer honestly. My only complaint, and it's more likely a user issue, not the TV, is that I can't fine tune the audio. On my old TV I had different sound profiles like "concert" or "games" or "theater". Either I haven't figured out where that is on the TV menu or maybe it is relegated to the only two sound profiles I saw. The last thing is that I love the remote does NOT need batteries!! You charge the remote by ambient light!! Truly one of the best purchases of 2024.

The very first thing I noticed about this TV compared to other LEDs that I’ve owned was the sound quality. The Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound that is in this TV allows for great sound that I’ve never experienced without the help of a soundbar. The sound tracks across the screen as the picture changes, or is pinpointed to a spot on the screen where the action is taking place. This also helps with the issue I’ve always had with LEDs and other flatscreen TVs, where I couldn’t get the sounds effects, voices, and music to be properly proportionate to each other. The picture is very clear with no noticeable lag in quick movements on screen. The fluidity of the movements on screen are amazing thanks to the Motion accelerator Turbo+ feature; no more skipping/jumping ... MoreThe very first thing I noticed about this TV compared to other LEDs that I’ve owned was the sound quality. Another one of my favorites is the Home Screen; each time I turn the TV on the Home Screen is even more customized to my preferences based on my watching history. Setup was super slick with the app. Great picture, great sound, and great usability.
The QN55QN85DBFXZA TV otherwise looks like a regular TV in its class. However, it does pack features that my previous TV's missed the mark on. My previous TV, had issues with HDMI ARC / CEC and caused my audio to get disconnected numerous times, as I would be watching content. Now while my primary set-up uses a AV receiver that's about 5+ years old, this TV is compatible and in the last fortnight of using the functionality, I haven't experienced any issues. To further, this TV also as features and integration with Alexa and Google Duo, both of which I enabled just for testing purposes. As newer devices are switching to MATTER and also Samsung is supporting the same, i would like to be able to use MATTER integration on the TV.The frame fuctionality is great too, in my set-up, I have a dedicated cabinet built for my TV, causing the frame to not look good.
My TV is the 55" Neo QLED QN700 which should be considered a total embarrassment. From the start, Samsung didn't have for the first 3 months anyone who knew enough about this TV to help me through my issues. Also, the processor (I'm Guessing the cause here) is SOOO insufferably slow that the Channel Lignup menu is almost worthless. It can take as much as an hour to populate the lineup of shows in this menu, as seen in the attached photo. I can't imagine any company so set on rushing the tech that they would release an inferior product like this. Then there is the Newer (about 1 year old) Menu for the setup. That has been totally rearranged and items that are frequently used, are buried in multiple layers of menu choices. I can see why it was taken off the market so rapidly.
I have been using this TV at my office for the last few days and it's great! QLED technology really surpasses regular UHD TVs and you can tell there is a big difference. The colors are super vibrant without being over contrasted. Our office is usually super brightly lit because of natural light and the QLED does not waver. I was also surprised at the sound quality of the TV as well. We watched a few movies on it and the sound has no distortion despite being raised. Overall the TV has surpassed my expectations with Samsung's QLED technology. The difference between regular UHD TVs and QLED is not even comparable. Everything looks crisp and super detailed. I would also add that the 55 inch version I selected is slightly on the smaller side than what I prefer but that's ... MoreI have been using this TV at my office for the last few days and it's great! Despite being boxed and undamaged outside. The TV frame was scratched. I can only assume this was done during assembly or shipping and certainly not me as I was supper careful in unpacking. Its a big disappointment on such a big purchase. The TV was very heavy and I had to reinforce the wall more as it was a lot heavier than my original Sony 55" Bravia. Overall easy to setup and the picture quality was good. I coupled this to my Samsung sound system and the audio is extremely good also. Its a lot faster than the Sony Bravia and this is a great feature. I do have some issues with screen auto sensing for some reason. The interface was overall better than the Bravia. Its certainly a big improvement on the Bravia but simple quality defect issues like this may indicate ... MoreDespite being boxed and undamaged outside. The TV frame was scratched. Overall our family loves this TV. It’s great picture quality allows us to view everything and make us feel like we are in a movie theatre or actually in the event on the screen. I love how bright it is, I don’t have to worry about pulling the blinds in order to see, I haven’t have to worry about the glare. The sound is good, we had difficulty when hooking up our input streaming device. We noticed it wasn’t as loud as if we had used the apps built into the tv itself. So we kind of stopped using the streaming device. It was getting way to quiet, to the point where we had to put volume all the way up to 40-50 to hear. It allows you to control your tv from your phone. I love it! The Samsung os is very fast and just the best! We spend more time watching tv rather than waiting for things to load. The real depth enhancer makes things look way less blurry. Overall, this tv is great!
Oh my gosh! The picture quality on the Samsun 55" Class QN85D Neo QLED 4k Smart tv is insane! It makes watching anything totally amazing! It is crystal clear, the contrast in colors is amazing. It making watching anything from videos, to movies pop and look incredible. The sound is great, however I have noticed when I watch something on Samsung TV vs a streaming device, the sound is drastically different. It is way better on the Samsung device, the plug in streaming device doesnt sound as crisp or loud, we end up having to turn it up to about 55-60 for volume to hear everything. The only thing that it was missing was a film of plastic on the screen itself. But the fingerprints wiped off after setting up. The setup for the tv was simple but the Smart Things set up did not work. It kept saying that the QR code wasnt valid. I did get it to connect once the tv was setup though. The remote is awesome because its solar powered. It is very light and pairs with all my devices perfectly. I only need one remote! I will say it was a little difficult plugging in the power cord to the actual tv because its a very small space. I would recommend this tv because of the wonderful picture quality, and the sound when using the samsung tv is perfect. I am blown away with the picture quality, it is like having a huge movie theatre. It makes movies feel like you are actually there! Love this product and would recommend it to those looking to taking your home entertainment to the next level! Trust me, you will not regret it! Thank you Samsung and Insiders for this wonderful product !
