This is not a review for cable as we haven’t purchased yet however like many of these reviews it is about the 5m cable NOT coming with the new TVs.Purchased a QN700BT and after going through all the information on the Samsung site I found in the accessories part of the information mentioned a 5m cable so I assumed as with the Frame tv’s that is what came with theQN700BT.Wrong, Samsung now only supply a 2.5m cable as standard.So now having to splash out another £149 to get what comes as standard with the cheaper models.Oh and the wall hanging bracket doesn’t come with this TV either which it does again with the cheaper frame models.More added costs.

The lack of a "Source" button is a dealbreaker. In my case, it takes 12 button presses to switch to the PS5, which is absolutely absurd in comparison to my prior TV remote (4 button presses). It's such an annoying experience, since I frequently need to change inputs between various devices. A remote from the 90s is more enjoyable to use, purely due to the lack of a button to easily change inputs.The only nice thing I can say, is that it uses USB-C charging, which is lovely.

I read the reviews before purchasing but I really wanted the slim mount for my TV so I took the chance. I was very unlucky and there is almost no wiggle room in installing the mount. It was a nightmare installation. The mounting plates really should be longer to give a better chance of hitting a stud. And the kit, for the price paid, should have proper anchors for drywall to accommodate hollow walls (drywall). These are huge expensive TV’s that are being hung on this mount and it took me HOURS of contemplating and serveral trips to the hardware store to get parts to be able to safely mount the Slim Fit Wall Mount. In the end, I got the TV hung but it is not centered on my wall horizontally or vertically as I would have liked. If you're intending to use this on a stud wall, be very careful ordering this product as Samsung won't accept a return once the package is opened, but you can only use the enclosed template to check if your studs align with where the brackets/screws need to go by opening the product.My experience was not only did the gaps between studs not align with where the 2 brackets needed to go for an 85" TV, but also the width of the studs meant it wasn't possible to put up a single bracket on a single stud using the screw holes indicated in the documentation.The documentation itself is good - the instructions for how to install it were clear, so it would be a good choice if it is suitable for your wall type. Absolutely terrible. Of the eight screws I used, four of the heads stripped on them. I was using a hand screwdriver, not even an electric one so I can't imagine how cheap the screws must have been (or defective). As the heads stripped, my mount is partially fixed to my wall and unusable. I'm now having to drill out the stripped screws and will likely have to buy a whole new mounting kit. Not what I would expect from Samsung. If you get this kit then do yourself a favour and get better quality screws. A waste of time and money!
I have a 2013 F8000 Smart TV. It has room on the back for (up to) a SEK-3000/XY upgrade kit. Here are some points I can help iron out for those unsure of what to make of the change in Evolution kit format from the previous plugin models to the newer box designs.1. If your TV was sold with a One Connect Box you will need to piggy back off it using your original TV remote to power on the TV and the 4500 Evo kit remote to use the Evo kit functions. (this is anecdotal as I do not have a One connect TV)2. If you have a standard designed TV (as I do) with all the connections going up around the back where an Evo kit would go you'll connect the 4500 using a supplied 'Connect to HDMI' cable to any standard HDMI on you TV (not the ARC or HML ports) and not a One Connect ... MoreI have a 2013 F8000 Smart TV. And the picture seems to be more crisp.A good upgrade if you can navigate the pitfalls and find it at a special price.
We bought this for our 75” QN90B. The instructions are okay for the most part but no indication on what drill bit to use to drive the concrete anchors. Not to mention, what genius thought to include Phillips head anchors with this mount?? They are so easy to strip so installation took hours. Plus there were no spares and apparently Samsung doesn’t carry spare parts and similar screws are very hard to find. Samsung support has been absolutely useless. We spent an hour chatting with a live agent just for them to tell us to go to a Samsung store. We went to a Samsung store just for them to tell us to talk to Samsung Parts Canada who then told us to talk to Samsung…In summary we have a mount but no functional screws to use and Samsung won’t give us spare screws. I bought a new Samsung UHD TV. Absolutely love the TV itself - picture is stunning, price & value are excellent. But.. when I go to add a keyboard, the Samsung Keyboard is $179 CAD$... for a simple wireless keyboard? So, instead I buy a $25 Logitech keyboard and find that it works fine in some applications, but not in others, such as the YouTube app. I report this (that it works well in some apps and not in others) and I'm told that only the Samsung Brand keyboard is guaranteed compatibility. That seems strange to me... the Logitech and Microsoft Keyboards I tried have a USB dongle, so why would the TV know or care if it was wired or wireless? Anyway - I guess I'll go ahead and spend nearly 1/3 of the cost of the TV on a Samsung Brand Keyboard.. and guess what? It's ... MoreI bought a new Samsung UHD TV. At least the LogiTech and Microsoft keyboards work great in the applications they work in.. and then not at all in other apps. The Samsung keyboard kinda/maybe/sorta doesn't work well enough in anything, certainly not for 8 times the money of the Logitech.So - literally WEEKS of screwing around and a pile of Wireless Keyboards later, I'm still screwing around with this. Ridiculously difficult to get a working solution. I (incorrectly) assumed I'd be able to add a Keyboard to my Smart TV and be able to type into applications which accept key'd input... but apparently that's a tough thing to figure out for Samsung. Color me disappointed...Again - the TV is awesome, as is my Samsung S7 Edge Phone, as is my Samsung kitchen appliances. I'm just glad I didn't have to buy a Samsung Keyboard for my Fridge... ;)
I purchased the QN800 in March, over 4 months ago and the longer length cable is still not available! Last year models came with 5m cable's as standard and that is what was advertised on Samsung in the QN800 box, however they have reduced to only 2.5m which is useless, no where near long enough when you consider it being on the wall, if the box isn't to fit directly under the TV, it will not work! How Samsung can release the TV 5 months before the accessories required to actually use it is unacceptable. if I had known, I would not have purchased. Very misleading by Samsung. I know I am not the only one, I have come across various forums with so many people impacted by the exact same issue!
Bought this for Christmas and was very excited to change the look on our frame tv with a new colored bezel. SO disappointing. Tried endlessly lining it up it's as if the magnets aren't strong enough ??!!! -- The edges don't close and there are gaps at all four corners -- after hours of frustration with it slipping off and having to crazy glue the bottom corner that broke off when it fell to the floor off the tv -- so ridiculous -- looks horrible and we are beyond disappointed - save your money and don't buy into the hype of the samsung "bezel" ... Looks, feels and is like $2 piece of plastic.
