The Samsung Galaxy A22 64GB Purple 5G is suitable for standard use. With the MT6833 processor and 4GB RAM, you can use apps like YouTube, Spotify, and Instagram. On the back of the Samsung A22, you can find a 48-megapixel standard camera and a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens. You can use this to fit large buildings or wide landscapes in your photo. You can store your photos on the 64GB storage. Do you need more storage for all your apps, files, and music? You can expand the storage capacity with a memory card. You can easily control the large 6.6-inch Full HD screen with 1 hand. This screen shows a lot of details, but the colors a less clear and vibrant than those of similar devices. Thanks to the large size, there's room for a hefty 5000mAh battery. With moderate use, this battery will last longer than 1 day.

Apps open relatively quickly, screen scrolling is smooth and the 4G modem is holding its own. I haven't been able to test the 5G capability yet as I refuse to pay extra just so I can get 5G. The camera is reasonably good, mind you not as good as the flagships but good enough.I do have two (2) criticisms though.Firstly, the ear piece is not loud enough. I checked online after that call to see if it could repaired independently and it turns out the power button and the volume button which are on the same strip are so built to the phone in its very hard to replace, as these are the only two physical buttons on this phone they should be easy to replace there position in the phone feels deliberate so you have to send your phone to Samsung to be repaired that feels very predatory and is what earns this phone and Samsung a 1 star rating.

I was in need of a new phone and found this on sale at a great price. The features are excellent and being a 5G capable phone will see me through for the next few years. The features are easy to navigate and use, setup of the phone was a little too long but necessary to get it working well. The fingerprint scanner was a little hit and miss and took several tries to setup. As with all new smartphones they are just way too big for comfort in the hand as I have smaller hands and makes using it a little difficult. Being at the low end of the price for a Samsung phone it does not have an IP rating and requires a waterproof case and screen protector for a small extra cost. The initial use with the camera to scan QR codes was streamlined until the last update where it fails to read the QR codes from the camera and had to download a QR scanner. Bit disappointing and a hassle but not a deal breaker. This is an excellent phone with good build quality, the screen is not an AMOLED display but still very useable, as long as it is facing you directly to get the best image possible. AS a TFT display it does have a falloff when viewing at extreme angles, still viewable and useable but a little annoying. Overall this is a good value phone for most users of a new smartphone without the premium price of the latest model. It is in my opinion a better buy than an Iphone which is way too overpriced for what you get. Highly recommended.

To be fair to all companies, I never review anything after just buying the product. So, I've had the phone now well over a year. I can't say it's the worst phone I've ever had... but it's not far from it.Here are the major complaints:1. When on a phone call, the proximity sensor (as in, its against your ear) will fail and without my knowledge, start launching apps, change settings, etc.. all because the "switching the phone to call mode" fails. This is horrible, happens on every call, which makes this phone nearly unusable unless I use either speaker mode or headphones2. The camera, while ok for the budget range, is all pretty horrible at taking any photos unless you have the steady hands of a zen master. Any mild movements, at all, produces a blurry shot.3. 7 ... MoreTo be fair to all companies, I never review anything after just buying the product. So, I've had the phone now well over a year. Any mild movements, at all, produces a blurry shot.3. 7 out of 10 times on a phone call, if you tried to multitask, example: "Ok, let me put you on speaker, and text you the contact details of the person you asked." becomes impossible, as you try to swipe down... its hard to describe.. but unless you press the power button once on a phone call, the phone will have a mind of its own.4. Double tapping the screen while in sleep mode, you know, to see who just messaged you? or rang you? or to see what notification you just received... isn't a double tap, its a 5-10 tap ordeal... one of the most unresponsive phones I've ever had5. The finger/touch sensor to unlock the phone is horrible... while of course I can add another "5 fingers" using the same thumb as I always do does the trick, I'm sorry... but just not good enough.6. Went to a customer to fix his computer. Used my "5g" to download a driver, I noticed I was getting about 500Kb to 1MB a sec... he then connected his phone instead, and was getting 10MB a sec, I asked, what carrier you using... he then gave me the same carrier I was on. :(7. So many more negatives, that I'm sure no one has gotten this far to read any of it...Positives:Battery life so far has been decentIt doesn't seem to overheat while I'm using GPS and having it mounted on my windshield mount in the very hot sun, as other flagships has always overheat quicklyThe calls when speaking are clear and no complaintsThe price to power value is decent, in other words... games run smooth enough for what this phone is, though don't expect to run ANY proper new gen 3d gamesIt has a headphone jack and expandable memory... good

Good Points: The price was ok for the specs on this Galaxy a22.Improvement Points: Before the samsung, I owned a Huawei and let me tell you that the Huawei had so many additional options! Good Points: Nice colour.Plenty of storage, 64GB.Improvement Points: Not good for left handed people as all the buttons are on the right hand side and if you hold the phone in your right hand you only have one thumb to press the buttons, no good for screen shots as you need to press two buttons with one thumb or use two hands. My old Samsung had the unlock button on the back, this is far better than on the side. Will give it a bit more time using it to see if I get used to it otherwise will sell it and find something that isn't a Samsung.

Good Points: I'm used to A51 Galaxy and the only improvement is that battery lasts longer. However it seems to take a bit longer to charge. Still a fast charge though.Improvement Points: Can't display time etc on the screen when screen is dark. There is no option to keep that information on display 24 hrs. With my last Samsung A51 I could choose to do this. I could glance at my phone when I wake in the night as I frequently do and immediately see what time it is. Now I need a separate clock or have to 'wake up' the phone. A HUGE minus point for me, so much so if I had realised this beforehand I wouldn't have bought it. I also thought from the information given with the phone that the camera functions had been improved, however all seems to be the same as my A51 ... MoreGood Points: I'm used to A51 Galaxy and the only improvement is that battery lasts longer. Strange things on the A22 5G cellphone
18 March 2023

use the A22 5G cellphone. It hasn't been 3 days since the LCD, SPEAKER, MICROPHONE, MACHINE were damaged even though I used them fine. And also why is the A22 5G cellphone if the update is getting longer, the features are getting less. There used to be Smart View, now it's gone, the more it's updated the more bugs, I can turn on Mobile Hotspot on the lock screen. Even though I haven't entered the password yet. If I play a game on the A22 5G cellphone, the Frame Rate is not stable. The Frame Rate has been going up and down, at first it was 60fps suddenly dropping to 08fps. Even though I only played the game Bus Simulator Indonesia. I do not lie.

Very good phone.

A great phone with the Octocore, and the camera is very good. I am using a 128Gb sd card for my music, photos and films. The only real gripe is NO FM Radio. I am really annoyed about this as I used to love listening to my favourite radio station and to record them. However the scrolling speed and video quality is very good. On the whole I recommend this phone to any one. I have a question for the Samsung engineers, can I get an FM Radio that would make use of the OTG function?
