I'd been using Apple Airpods for years, even after moving to a Samsung phone at the Galaxy 7 series. With Airpods, I was lucky if I made it 6 months before needing another pair; at least one ear would inevitably go wonky after a while. (Let's be real, hard to expect otherwise when the audio outport portion is directly affected by earwax and environmental stuff like dust or dirt if dropped, etc.) The main reason I stick with Apple was the treble vs. bass balance, since most other brands over-favor bass, in my opinion, especially given my genre tendencies. But after almost a full year of using the same pair of these Samsung earbuds, I can safely say I'm in love. Just pop off the cover pieces--which come in multiple sizes, thank goodness, given my evidently small earholes lol--and run a bit of tissue or a toothpick over it to get like-new performance. Hard to deny any pair of earbuds that remains as good 10 months later as they were when I opened them... If I had any complaint, it's that they tend to loosen and threaten falling out when I'm moving my jaw (ie, eating--small earholes are a surprisingly big first-world problem these days, evidently), but otherwise, pretty darn awesome. This is a financially and sonically excellent choice. I'm not saying there aren't better earbuds and headphones out there, but I am saying it's hard to beat these for durability and quality at this price. Strongly recommend.

I'll get the good part out of the way and say the sound quality is great and they are comfortable in the ear. Now for everything else: if these things functioned like intended and gave me carnivorous brain worms, I might give them 2 stars. It randomly disconnects from the phone if you're switching from music to a phone call. The blocking function, the one that prevents accidental call hang ups when a stiff breeze brushes up against the earpiece, randomly turns off at any given point. It is also supposed to warn you of a dying battery with a gentle chime, but apparently only if it feels like it. The battery like is suspect as well. It boasts a 5 hour battery, but they must mean without use, because mine get about 3 hours of continuous use. Business Professionals Beware

I conducted hours of reaseach to find top of the line earbuds. I needed earbuds that would give me the best call experience for both myself, and the person on the other line, as I am on conference calls much of my day. This is NOT that product. My sound quality is great, but those on the other line gave me consistent feedback that they could hear all background noise around me, in all environments when BT to both my mobile device and my laptop.I troubleshot the device myself before reaching out to support. I opted for the latter in hopes to upgrade call quality.Ordered for in-store pickup and paid in full prior to pickup. I was under the impression that I would hand over my Buds Pro as a trade in, they would factory reset the device, and give me my new device. Upon arrival to store location I was met with confusion. I was told that I could not give my device to the store, and would receive a shipping label that I needed to print myself, and then find a FedEx to return. This is all acceptable if this president were set in the beginning. Which it was not.If you are a busy professional like me, beware of this product and its customer service as both will cause you headache and waste 3-5 hours of your time. If you are in search of a product where you can take calls in any environment that is not completely silent, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Could use some improving but overall great earbuds

I definitely am a fan of these headphones but there are things I would definitely change or improve. The touch controls are kinda all over the place. Either they're SUPER sensitive or barely responsive. Sometimes I have to tap them several times to get the song to pause then other times I tap them once and it skips ahead 2 or 3 songs. I do appreciate the ability to disable touch controls so it's not that big of a deal. They also fit oddly sometimes. I think it's because the actual piece that goes into the ear is oval instead of round. Like they'll work themselves halfway out of my ear then just kinda sit there until I readjust them.Besides all that they work amazingly. Depends a lot on how you feel about Samsung

I already had a pair of these, thought I had lost them on a trip (like dug through my bag, retraced my steps, called places I'd gone) so I ordered a new pair. Less than two hours later, I found them right where I always keep in in my bag, but I have yet to look into the Triple Tap to Turn Invisible feature because there's so much bloatware in the app. Best Buy has this awesome policy where if it's been more than 30 seconds since you placed your order, you're stuck getting that order buddy. If you want your money back, you're just going to have to live with it being tied up with them until the order gets to you and you have time to take it in person to a store and wait 5-10 business days for the refund. If you want your money back, you're just going to have to live with it being tied up with them until the order gets to you and you have time to take it in person to a store and wait 5-10 business days for the refund. As that amount of hassle is easily detrimental to my blood pressure at a level consummate to the cost of a third pair of these things, I took it on the chin and now I have a second pair now. Wise choice trying to exchange them for a black pair, just for some variety, turned into an ordeal that involved at least two phone calls to various sects of Best Buy customer service and 40 minutes of my time before I simply gave up. None of which has anything to do with the quality of the headphones directly, but is necessary context if for no other reason than to explain that I'm not some Karen who buys multiple pairs of expensive ear buds like they're a statue symbol and then does nothing but complain about them, just so I have an excuse to mention that I have them. I basically ended up with the second pair by accident and returning them so quickly became a nightmare that I just cut my losses. The buds themselves are pretty cool. Once you figure out how to get them in your ears the right way, which isn't make evident in any of the literature included with them, or the attendant software you put on your phone to have all of the features (the software is problematic, but I'll get to that). So it probably took me a good month before accidentally figuring out how they're supposed to go in your ears. Which was nice because they went from being actually painful at times, to comfortable enough I've forgotten they were in at all on several occasions. Both the ambient sound and Active Noise Cancelling modes work nicely and as one would expect. The sound quality is also very nice. I can't say that anyone else will have a similar experience with these because there are marked dissimilarities between the supposedly identical pairs I have. The primary difference being volume. Despite their being the same make and model of ear buds, I very much prefer one set to the other as when I crank up the volume on them, they respond with an increase in both volume and bass response that I'd imagine one would expect, while the other pair responds, at best, tepidly. I keep both equally clean, charged, etc, etc, so I can only assume it's either an issue with software or internal mechanics. I've not looked into it as Samsung's customer service, in each and every experience I've had with it, is a nightmare many orders of magnitude beyond whatever the Svengali's at Best Buy could even hope to create. I'm not interested in spending the time I could be listening to music having 15 different people at Samsung tell me the issue is something one of the other two departments handles, then telling me they aren't able to transfer my call or send along any kind of notes to that department, much less arrange to have the correct department call me back at their convenience. Because you know what happens then? I'll get off the phone with Dept. A and call Dept. B as instructed, be told I should actually be speaking with Dept. C, who will then refer me to Dept. A ad infinitum until I either give up entirely, or by some miracle, get someone in the correct department to address my problem. Oh, but in terms of doing something about my problem, the answer is no. They do handle specifically the kind of issue I'm talking about, but my specific, idiosyncratic tech support issue just happens to be the exact and only iteration of that issue that they simply do not address and I'll just have to find third party support, get a non-OEM replacement part or buy an entirely new piece of equipment entirely. Just for that one, exact thing. So sorry. If you're problem was literally anything else at all, even non-Samsung related, we would pay YOU to help you, but you found that OOOOONNNNNE specific thing and the answer is a flat no and we don't care how much of your money we pocketed less than a year ago for that product, you are just one unlucky SOB. Have a nice day.I digress, but only slightly, because you should be advised that if you do have an issue with these things and my two pair having vastly different levels of performance doesn't necessarily speak volumes when it comes to quality control, you're probably going to be sorry you even HAVE ears if you try to get anyone at Samsung to anything that could even be loosely defined as help. You are far more likely to actually feel that insult has been added to injury by the time you've *maybe* wrangled some kind half-assed customer service from them that involves you mailing your device to some random seeming address somewhere, being told to label the box in very odd and specific ways, not getting any kind of useful information from a tracking site THEY contact YOU to tell you about like it's something they should want anyone using and it takes a minimum of 3 days longer than predicted to finish the repair and an additional minimum of two days after that for them to get around to actually shipping it back. The battery life on the ear buds kind of sucks. I'm generally playing music fairly loudly and with ANC, as I commute by bus and it's not exactly the library. Generally, two and a half hours is about all you're going to get out of them at max volume with noise canceling. Though several times, it's almost been like they decide they don't like the song I'm playing and decide the battery's dying NOW. We're talking a notification one of the two buds is at 15% battery and that sucker is D-E-D dead a minute and a half later. Which makes having the second pair handy because they do charge back up pretty quickly. By the time I've drained the second pair, the first is back to fully charged. They do seem to get confused as to which pair they are when I trade out if I had one pair set with a feature turned on and the other pair off, but that's fixed easily enough. The seamless ear bud connection feature is pretty cool, though I've recently experienced some issues with my volume turning itself waaaay down over and over and over despite my turning it back up. They do mention that feature can, rarely, allow someone else to also connect, so I'm chalking that up to some kid who took advantage of an opening to irritate a stranger while they're working because they've never actually done real work and consequentially have no framework within which to show respect for those who do and thought it was funny to watch some dude trying to do his job have to keep effing around with the volume. Kids. Anyway, they're decent ear buds. If anything, the app that comes with them has too many features just in the sense that some of them are redundant as any modern smart phone already does the same thing and someone would probably have already turned it on or off that way so putting it in a second spot is more asking for confusion than helpful. Some of the other features are just pointless or flat out dumb to the point I've questioned whether they're literally there for no reason other than to take up space in phone memory. For example, I'm not clear on who has a use for a toggle that lets you have your phone calls play through your ear buds when they aren't in your ears. Why? 360 audio. Surround sound, it is not. I'm a gamer and I can say that "Gaming Mode" is isn't*cough* bloatware *cough* because nobody who is serious about video games to the point they're audiophiling it is A) Doing so with ear buds or B) Gaming on a smartphone screen. There are a few other settings related to sound when taking a call and outside world sounds that seem like they'd make more sense for hearing aids. Again, I'd rather have the space on my phone, thanks. Not only is there a lot of superfluous nonsense in the app, the permissions required are flat out invasive and you have to allow them all or the app doesn't work. So if you want voice control or ANC be ready to grant the Galaxy Wearable app access to: " add or modify calendar events and send email to guests without owners' knowledge", "read calendar events and details", "read and write call log", "find accounts on the device", "read and modify your contacts", "always access precise location", "discover, pair and connect to nearby Bluetooth devices as well as advertise to nearby Bluetooth devices", "read and directly call phone numbers", "add voicemail", "make/receive SIP calls", "receive, send, view and read SMS, MMS and WAP messages", Modify or delete SD card contents", "read the contents of your shared storage","access the Samsung Members App","have full network access and view network connections","access Bluetooth settings","Control NFC","retrieve and reorder running apps","run at startup","run foreground service","query all packages" and "prevent phone from sleeping".Overall: mixed bag. They sound nice, but a lot of the software that presumably justifies the $200 price is intrusive and seems like filler to make the app seem feature rich while not being quite "done" in several instances. Iffy battery life and inconsistent experiences across different pairs, along with awful customer support from Samsung make these a crap shoot. If you already have and like Samsung products you're probably the type who enjoys playing with settings, getting a handle on functions through trial and error, doesn't mind relearning half of it every other software update and I'd say get a pair. Otherwise, probably run?

Ran my earbuds through the washer and dryer twice.
10 February 2023

Great product. Unless your dog eats them they are virtually indestructible. I have ran them through the washer and dryer twice. I was nervous when I put them in but both times I popped them in my ear and was excited to hear they sounded just as good as the sounded fresh out of the box. The sound quality is amazing easy to use and I slept with them in on many occasions. They batteries last forever I work a 12 hour shift and have them on for just about the whole time and they start cutting off towards the end a little. I just pop one in the charger and use the other one for a little after I get the warning beeps and by the time It dies the other one is charged enough to get me home. I can usually make it up one flight of stairs out my front door and start pulling away before the finally lose connection. I dont really know what else to say. Oh just pay the extra and get the replacement plan in case your dog eats your earbuds. You just bring them back and get new ones. I cannot live without mine.

Sound is alright, fit is terrible and affects my enjoyment
28 July 2022

I find myself preferring my Galaxy buds+, while the pro feels like I overpaid for a downgrade. To start off, the fit SUCKS. It falls off every few minutes unless you stand perfectly still, and then it'll fall off within a half hour or so. You'll find yourself constantly trying to adjust it and shove it deeper into your ear, but the bulbus part of it is so large that it doesn't quite stay fit. After awhile, they start to hurt on my ears, because the skin in my ears is feeling the pressure from trying to hold these slippery things in, whereas with the buds plus I never had any ear discomfort or issues whatsoever. After awhile, they start to hurt on my ears, because the skin in my ears is feeling the pressure from trying to hold these slippery things in, whereas with the buds plus I never had any ear discomfort or issues whatsoever. Then there's the tapping- everytime I try to jam the pros back in it'll do a tap or a double tap and completely mess up whatever I was listening to or watching. Somehow it's super sensitive to touch, particularly when I'm trying to push it back in my ears, but when you actually need to touch it for pausing music or skipping videos, it lags in the touch and won't always respond to light tapping. I feel like I have to slam my finger several times so it can recognize the triple or double tap. With the buds plus, there was an edge in the buds where you could place your fingers and not worry about the touch controls going crazy. Unfortunately, the buds pro's touch button takes up the entire surface, so no matter how far on the edge my fingers are as I try to readjust them, the touch controls still respond and start pausing/playing my music. As for sound quality, it's pretty good, except you hardly enjoy it at full capacity because half the time these things are slipping off my ears and muffling the sound in the process. It also feels like I'm underwater half the time with the pressure these things place, it's really uncomfortable. I only bought these for the noise cancellation and to substitute my lost buds plus for something that would still have the same wearable app compatibility along with the familiar touch features. Sound quality and battery life are about the only neat things I can say of the buds pro. But I miss my buds plus.
