Beautiful / Powerful / Some irratating limitations

Great phone. Many, many features. A little too big for regular pockets - can slip out VERY easily. Takes a bit getting use to with one hand. Very beautiful looking. Qi charging FYI. 1. Unfortunately - one VERY BAD shortcoming!!: The phone screen goes out in 5 to 10 secs during a call. Very bad if you're in a meeting and need to mute/un-mute to talk - OR - if you need the keypad to punch in prompts. You must wake the phone back up, put in your password/swipe/fingerprint, then bring up the phone call you're on. EXTREMELY frustrating. It took several hours to find - but forget everything you see in the settings of keeping the screen on - nothing helps the phone call screen. Enable the Developer Options and then enable "Stay Awake" while charging. You'd think Samsung ... MoreGreat phone. Many, many features. A truly cheap low-handed shot by Samsung to make more money: For those who use Samsung Health. You now have to buy a smartwatch to monitor heartbeat/stress/oxygen. They took away the light & camera sensor functionality. For a $1,299 phone - there should be NO LIMITATIONS whatsoever. 3. For you media buffs: The camera and apps for pics/videos have almost unlimited and AWESOME capabilities - way too many to mention. I haven't used the S-Pen, so I can't comment except there is a push button on the pen to activate certain features. Just a last note here - the battery life is fantastic. All-in-All: I'm happy I didn't pay full price which will make me keep it. This should not be a phone with any limitations for the price.

I was "gifted" the new Note 20 and was NOT HAPPY, at first! I switched to Galaxy Note phones when they hit the market & for me, there was no turning back. Ever. This device has so many features, layered into it, it categories even I CAN UNDERSTAND. The stylis is a MUST HAVE for me, my 1st Galaxy Note spoiled me for life! The one prior to the 20 I believe did not have a stylis, I kept my Note that did until my current device was received. Very Durable; easy to use; great support for finding any feature, and it has them all. Most of all, the CAMERA BEATS ANY IPHONE! Actually, through this very device, I have converted iPhone users to Android BECAUSE of the beautiful pictures this device takes! I will NEVER USE ANOTHER MODEL PHONE. The space is great! The S pen being on the left threw me off at first but I was to get over it. The night mode for photos is AWESOME. The only time I would like to see is being able to record video while making a call or being on a call. It would be revolutionary and even life saving to have a phone do that. Also LOVE the mystic bronze color way it's feminine but sophisticated and chic! Along with Note 20 I also got the live buds, and galaxy book in mystic bronze too. I would like to get the Tab and S pen this color way! This color way should be permanent in all Samsung mobile products, accessories and computers it's that hot!

Extremely satisfied customer of the last of the Galaxy Note Series...
29 March 2023

I've had this phone over a month now and I have zero complaints. The phone was as advertised, new in box, clean IMEI, and flawless. I had no issue activating with my wireless carrier and the phone has been better than expected. Battery life is several days with normal usage (calls, text, random notifications, occasional web browsing, limited social media access), the interface is user friendly, and storage is sufficient. I do have a 256 GB micro SD card installed and try to make sure apps and other things get stored there first. Pleasantly surprised and very grateful I have been receiving several updates since activating meaning I am up to date with Android and security patches. Hopefully won't be needing to upgrade to a different device in at least a year or two. I ... MoreI've had this phone over a month now and I have zero complaints. Great....when it works....

Great when it works but I am sure I got a lemon. Seven months after I received the phone the entire display died. Was in for a service for a week before it was fixed. About six weeks ago when I used the speaker during a call, the other person kept hearing a dreadful screeching noise. Received a code from Samsung to get feedback from speaker and the noise was dreadful! Followed Samsung's advice to wipe phone before going on for service and as a result fault could not be identified. Put in "voice of concern " to Samsung who said phone was working fine and to consult other Samsung owners for help. Phone put in for third service due to screeching noise. Tech not sure of cause but ordered lots of parts. Get phone back and yup still making screeching noise. In for fourth ... MoreGreat when it works but I am sure I got a lemon. Very very disappointed that phone has had to be serviced four times in 15 months and Samsung could not give a flying whoopee!! Extremely bad customer service from Samsung and will think twice before buying another Samsung phone. Surely after four services a new phone is warranted???

Last great Galaxy phone with removable microSD card. Get it while you still can.
27 February 2023

The Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra phone I ordered to replace a treasured but dated Galaxy Note 9 came in a plain box with a generic charger, but otherwise looked brand new. The front glass and back of the device were flawless. I love my new phone! Setup proceeded just like a new phone, and it works perfectly on T-Mobile's network. I love that swapping 20,000 photos from the old phone to new was as easy as ejecting and reinserting a microSD card! I had purchased a brand new Samsung A53, but ended up returning it and buying this 2 year old Galaxy Note20 Ultra because I just couldn't get used to the smaller screen, missing S Pen, lack of wireless charging, etc. on the A53. Battery life is just OK, not noticeably better than my 4 year old Note 9.

Shady Seller with Horrible Customer Service.

The only good thing about this seller was how quickly the item arrived. The phone was supposed to be in very good condition but what I got didn't even meet Acceptable condition, not just because of the wear and tear on the case but it seemed like the charging port was slightly damaged and had a loose connection with the charger that came with it. I tried my Samsumg charger and it seemed to fit a little better but still fell out if it was bumped. The back of the phone felt like it had been sanded and I assume it was since there was a clear cracked spot that had been either glued or welded back together. The screen had lots of light scratches you could see in the light but only a couple you could actually feel.I tried contacting the seller and was hoping it would be resolved because at first, I was getting quick and very curteous responses. They offered $25 as a partial refund but that would have still been more expensive than the same phone they were selling in Good condition. And they have a listing in Acceptable Condition on Amazon for $70 less. When I said the $25 was unacceptable but I'd still be willing to take a partial refund over a return since it was supposed to be a Christmas present. But I explained my reasons in why $25 was just too little given the condition, based on their prices, and having to get a case and wireless charger. Then I stopped hearing anything from them at all, despite two more attempts to get a reply.Thankfully Walmart guarantees a refund because I'm having to use them to actually get anything done now. I'm just glad I checked the phone rather than just wrapping it up or it would have been a huge let down Christmas morning.

This replaced a Samsung S7 which was around five years old and was well worth the upgrade. I am a keen photographer and hiker and so am impressed by the Note 20 Ultra's camera, supporting software (the Samsung RAW editor) and large bright screen. The battery life is good at around 24 hours between charges with continual use throughout the day and the sound and microphone perform well outdoors. This is the last Samsung phone to have an SD card memory slot, newer versions have dropped this feature, and so this makes it ideal for photographers who need expandable storage. Transferring all my data and settings from my old S7 was a simple matter of running Samsung''s excellent Smart Switch app which can also complete backups up to a PC for extra piece of mind; and the PC Dex app is an excellent addition to PC connection functionality. But like all modern smart phones, the Note 20 has an exposed camera with no lens protection and a case which, although beautiful to look at, is far too fragile and slippery in the hand for safe use outside of a protective case. Samsung screens, in being AMOLED, are stunning to view but I really dislike the curved edges that Samsung has applied to all its premium phones these days - watching videos, viewing photos and even reading on a screen whichrolls pixels over curved edges is ridiculous design philosophy in my opinion. I bought this phone at 600 new with 256GB of internal memory, a steal compared to the most recent fair from Samsung, and so it's a thoroughly recommended purchase.
