I got the S10+ the day it came out. I think the phone it was replacing was the S4. I have a tendency to take really good care of my phones and hold onto them until there's a dire need to upgrade them or the technology is far outdated. Four years later and this one is still probably more than I need. I might even be emotionally attached a bit. Haha. I'm not a fan of new phones and relearning everything, but I'm sure it'll happen in the next couple years. I've never even cracked a screen so for me to replace it something really fancy needs to come along. I still only use 36GB of my storage after all these years. It's a great phone as most Androids are. As long as it keeps running my Influenster efficiently then I'm all good. 👍

The best part about this phone is its size, it's the best, fastest, and SMALLEST flagship phone you can get today. It's a couple years old as of this review, but as a former flagship, it's still faster than all mid-level phones. I upgraded from a Galaxy S8 to this, and overall, I like it much better. The shorter length is more comfortable to use, hold, and keep in a pocket. The screen appears just as sharp as the S8 despite lower resolution, and screen size is the same thanks to the S10e's small top and chin bezels. Loss of the retina scanner, pulse oximeter, and notification LED are my only disappointments over the S8. The fingerprint reader is also slightly disapointing. It also seems to be extremely sensitive to skin dryness. Overall, I'd say the great size makes up for most of its shortcomings.

I also still have my S4 (which has sadly just died, the power button has become faulty, but that’s fair wear and tear), my S6 and S8 phones. However, I feel Samsung’s quality and rugged build quality has slipped, considerably! My S10 5G fell off the table onto the floor, nothing unusual, and the screen shattered! The Samsung branded case didn’t offer any protection, which was extremely frustrating, because no other brands that I’d normally use, had a 5G case!Unperturbed, I put it down to being an accident, sorted things out, a new case, but still nothing on offer from the case brands I’ve successfully used in the past, and a double whammy, another damaged phone! These falls were minor falls, my previous phones have more than survived heavier drops (I used to be an active mountaineer, hill and moorland walker plus a lot of wild camping in remote locations), and still they not only look good, but work as good.Another niggle I have with the S10 5G is Bixby, I’m not a fan of talking to devices, I may have a speech impediment that makes it difficult for these devices to comprehend my requests, which makes it further frustrating, because the Bixby activation button is just where I need to put my fingers when holding the phone, which intern means I activate Bixby at the most inopportune times. To make matters worse, Bixby cannot be switched off, or if it can, I've yet to find the setting. On a positive note, the Bixby activation button is in the ideal place for those who will use Bixby a lot or as and when they need that little bit of help or that buzz of technology interaction, but for those who don’t, it must be annoying, it is for me. So how about in the Settings for Bixby, please include something to switch Bixby off. That will accommodate things nicely for all, those who rely on Bixby, and those who don't.Another niggle I have, insufficient RAM and no external memory slot, which is annoying, for I have to then download/transfer all my photos and music. I know many will use online storage, but I often spend prolonged periods in areas of poor or no signal, so device storage is important, particularly with wildlife and landscape photography locations, and often when driving, music online disappears due to poor or no signal, which is very frustrating, because the Samsung Music app is brilliant, and easy to use, I love the equaliser and the cross track fading, its brilliant and makes for better music listening when driving, or relaxing at home. After so many years of happy Samsung ownership, to say I’m disappointed is beyond what I’d have expected to say, but I am. The Samsung brand generally is very good, TV and other entertainment devices all offer top quality, just as with my previous smartphones.I’m not looking to upgrade anytime soon, but I am watching very carefully how Samsung progress.

Out of the close to 70 cellular phones I've gone through since 1999 and various brands the Galaxy S10 is the only phone that has a screen that I haven't broken. All I've had for protection is a generic otterbox and no name screen protector. I've had this phone for almost 3 years and was purchased through a third party. Everything from data to storage and overall functionality is quite stellar. I work in the auto body collision repair and refinishing technology industry so every day this thing "goes to war" I' can't even begin to recount how many times it's been dropped or has been covered in body filler dust or the one time I dropped it in my wet sand bucket and came out of the battle like Rambo. All in all hands down this is my favorite device of all time
So for those who don't know me, I am very hard on my cell phone. For example, I accidentally ran over a previous cell phone on accident or lost it canoeing (don't ask) but for whatever reason I always manage to replace my cell phones within and 2 1/2 year time period. So the fact that this cell phone has lasted me so long is amazing for me (don't be fooled tho, it definitely shows signs of my abuse even with a case an awesome screen protector). Though the cracks on the screen are not pretty it still works! This is my first samsung phone and would definitely purchase a Samsung phone again. My favorite thing about this phone are the pictures it can take. It's amazing!
The bad;The finger print recognition is awful, (though slightly better since a recent update)The facial recognition almost never works.Digging around the Android store to get apps that dont come with constant advertisingis a nightmare, and the ones that can be found that are paid, are considerably more expensive then anything on the Apple App Store.Very sluggish response, in every day use, and the phone froze on me twice. My 5 year old iPhone is considerably faster. The Pros; It's a phone and that works. The camera is pretty decent.Having an old fashioned headphone jack is great.Being able to run almost any software is nice. However, I still haven't decided/figured out if its contributed to stabilityissues or not.The phones browser is flexible.
This Galaxy S10-5G replaces a broken Galaxy S7. The critical requirements were (1) Android (not iPhone), (2) 3.5mm audio jack, and (3) GSM capable (AT&T network). There are no near-term plans to switch carriers, so multi-band (also can use Verizon network) and unlocked (also can use T-mobile network) are not required. The Galaxy S7 repair estimate was $300 if they can get obsolete parts. The new Galaxy S10-5G was $400 and a short ship time. Here is a CON: This phone is locked to the AT&T network. Here is the PRO: This locked phone is $250 less than unlocked ones of the same model. Like the title says, locked phones are not for everybody, but they do have a price benefit. The Galaxy S10 has four variants. We were able to upgrade to the model with the biggest screen ... MoreThis Galaxy S10-5G replaces a broken Galaxy S7. Here is the PRO: This locked phone is $250 less than unlocked ones of the same model. Like the title says, locked phones are not for everybody, but they do have a price benefit. The Galaxy S10 has four variants. We were able to upgrade to the model with the biggest screen (6.8") and 5G capability, all for less than the cost of any unlocked Galaxy S10. So, in our case, this was a wise purchase. This Galaxy S10-5G has 256GB internal storage, and no capability for microSD. Our Galaxy S7 has 32GB internal and an external 32GB microSD, with about 50GB total used. Samsung provides a built-in "SmartSwitch" Galaxy app that transferred *everything* in about 90 minutes over wifi. There is supplied a phone-to-phone cable that likely speeds the whole transfer greatly, but I chose wireless transfer. Yes, no support for external microSD, but I have some 200GB free in the internal storage. The phone ships with a SIM card in the box. It is the same as in the S7, so the S7's existing SIM card just dropped in without any problem. Compared to the Galaxy S7, the Galaxy S10-5G feels faster, likely due to newer/faster processors. Battery life seems longer, likely due to more efficient electronics and display. (Note that this is an unfair comparison between a Galaxy S10 with a new battery and a Galaxy S7 with an old battery.) One thing to look out for is added privacy settings. It works this way: All privacy settings that exist in the S7 transfer intact. However, there are new ones added in the later version of Android software running in the Galaxy S10. Their default values are "promiscuous" (share with third parties) overrides of the settings found in the Galaxy S7. It took about an hour to go through and stop them all. So, bottom line: $400 (in 2022) will get you a new 5G phone with a 6.8" screen and 200GB free storage, tied to a single carrier. For me, and maybe for you, this is a 5-star product.
I bought this a couple of days ago. I'm glad it's Samsung because I don't have a learning curve. However, Samsung has a history of taking away features that are good. This phone is no exceptionIt's slow. Sometimes when you try to scroll, the phone just freezes until it's ready to scroll. Whenever that will be.There are a lot of notification sounds. None that I like. They sound like symphonies playing. If my phone rings, I want a simple bell. If I get a text, I don't want an opera and everybody staring at me until I answer the text. The battery drains quickly. If I go to bed with a 100% battery, when I wake up, it's down to 70%.It's only been two days. No doubt I'll find out more things that Samsung downgraded
I was so excited to get my new phone eventhough I spent a fortune on my new Samsung S10. It is the worst phone I've ever owned. It freezes, battery life is useless and it's the slowest loading phone ever. Compared to a $50 Track Phone, the cheap phone is better. The mic feature doesn't work half the time and my photos look horrible. My cat can't even take a good picture and she's not so picky.. I've has these problems from day one. I complained to the carrier which offered nothing except excuses until the return time had expired. That was TMobile. Either the person I needed to speak with was out, or their systems were down, etc. There was always an excuse. I also purchased a Samsung tablet to go with my new Samsung phone and it's the same way, slow and half my apps ... My Amazon Fire performs better and is faster loading than my Samsung. I will never purchase another Samsung product even if its the only brand available. I'd rather do without. I'm not sure if I'd even take a free Samsung product. Always in such a hurry to get that new improved product out at the cost of quality. People deserve better for that much money.
Don’t spend your money on this. Just bought this phone not even three days ago and had a hard time making the info from my last phone transfer to this one so I decided to make a completely new apple id to avoid this. Finally got this thing to work and the sound is terrible, the phone does not make a noise when i get a notification and the camera quality is questionable not even sure if it’s the real version of the iphone 12 pro max. I will be receiving a different phone and if the same problems occur I will be getting a refund for the phone and going else where rlly disappointing to spend so much money on something that doesn’t even function like it should. No way they test these phone before sending them out.
