The cable in no way works as a fast charge connection. Not even when plugged into original plug. But plenty of reviews have said that and to be honest I bought it as a back up mainly to connect the phone to my computer for transferring files. Which unfortunately this cable is completely useless for. Connects to allow a trickle charge but won't actually allow the transfer of files in any way. Bottom line: Don't waste your money

*AVOID AT ALL COSTS* This cable is not what it says it is at all, it is not genuine, the plastic sleeve in which has the usb icon on the usb side of the cable, came straight off so obviously cheaply made. Straight away that was enough for me to not use the cable. I still have my genuine cable from when i bought my s8 but its very temperamental with charging hence the purchase of a new cable... bearing in mind it doesnt charge my s8 at all, doesnt matter what socket it is in or what plug i use, it doesnt charge the phone. Very poor quality and false advertising. *AVOID*

I remember having this issue when apple lighting chargers 1st came out. Bad suppliers around it seems. Save time and effort and dont buy one.

My S8 is quite old now and doesn't plug in very well so I periodically replace my cable due to the damage it does to them. This one doesn't even connect. Although my phone is broken, the current charger I have still plugs in so there is something a bit funny here.
Does not support fast charge. Initially, i thought there was a problem with my power bank, but then decided to test them with the charger. While with the original one i had a charging time of one and a half hour, with those cables and the same charger pluged in the same socket, i had a charging time of 4 hours. Bought three of those, one for my powe bank, one for my car charger and a spare one, and all of them have the same problem.
To begin with I was thinking "brilliant" this cable is going to be a perfect replacement after I lost the original Samsung S8+ cable which I'd had since July 2017 and worked great. So I ordered one of these in Feb 2019 and unfortunately less than 2 later and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, then when it does it keeps coming up with the message on my phone about slow charging and please use original cable to get fast charging. Also the item came slightly apart about a month ago, still works to some degree as stated above but the quality isn't great. This is why I've gone with 3 stars. Delivery was quick and price was good value but quality appears to be lacking. Shame.
I connected this cable to an Avantree car charger that has worked with all different cables, without issue. After a few seconds plugged in, I could smell burning. The cable was melting at the connection end. When I pulled the cable out of the phone, the plastic housing detached and was pulled away from the connector, which was still inside my phone. I had to use pliars to pull the metal collector (now glued via the melted plastic) out of my phone. Dangerous and cheap product. I should have known better.
Not a quality product but does the job. Seems a bit slow charging which would suggest not the best quality wire. Also looks a bit flimsy on the joins to the USB and USB c so not sure how long they will last. OK for spares when others are mislaid.
My phone just wasn't charging fully anymore. I was worried it was the battery but bought this new charging cable just in case. Perfect! worked like a dream. So pleased. Would definately recommend.
Do not purchase these cables. When first opened the packet the first cable broke straight away but I had 2 more so wasnt fussed. The 2nd one didn't charge properly but then today the 3rd cable that I keep in my car actually melted and snapped off. It started smoking and I realised the wire was broke. Had to get pliers to get the piece stuck on my phone and now my phone does not charger properly. Stay away from these cables
