Bought an S20 in June 2020 for 72k. Jan4th 2023 start getting a vertical pink line on the screen. What transpired after that was horrendous dealing with Samsung customer support:1. Asked me to bring in the phone twice and took pictures to upload to Samsung, no issues found 2. Funnily I was told that if I had come before 31st Dec, they had a scheme and would have replaced it free. My argument is the problem came 4 days later, and they need to be model driven and not date driven as I cannot anticipate that there is going to be an issue. They asked for 18000 to replace3. My argument is that if you look up the internet, so many people have reported this issue, Samsung should have done a recall. They do that in every deveoped country market. I used to be a huge Samsung fan but the s20 is a terrible phone compared to their past options. For starters the phone constantly gets what you're trying to relay both text and voice nearly 100 percent wrong every time. Then it switches to stuff not even making sense make you seem stupid constantly but it's really a reflection on how bad the software/phone is.You constantly have to stop the phone from sending emojis when you scroll through messages with some kind of feature that makes no sense. This phone has a lot of flash to get you to buy it but it functions worse than any phone I've ever used. The battery life doesn't even make it a full dayMight be software specific to the s20 but I'm going to be getting rid of this phone for a $50 one that works ...Ā MoreI used to be a huge Samsung fan but the s20 is a terrible phone compared to their past options. For starters the phone constantly gets what you're trying to relay both text and voice nearly 100 percent wrong every time. It came loose in a box that was too big for the phone. I could feel the phone hitting the sides of the box. I would think they would have secured the item a little better and not be free falling in the box. Even though this is a refurbished phone Iām still paying $400+ for it and that still a lot of money.Secondly, this phone is supposed to be unlocked, which means I can use any carrier. I did and they have no idea what I was talking about, they said we are a warranty company we do not troubleshoot phones. After that I called QVC support, they advised I called Samsung. They were helpful and made a ticket for someone to call me back to unlock the phone. Although, no one called me back. At this point I packed the phone up for return. The general condition of the phone was good and like new. When I turn on the phone the AT&T logo flashes so that provider this phone is still connected too. Donāt waste your time on this phone.

The phone has worked great so far, good amount of space, nice pictures, ran fast, and more. The screen is big and has good quality visual-wise when playing games or using apps. However... I was already disappointed about the fact that they no longer had a headphone jack that you could attach earbuds (but I'm not sure when that was removed anyway). But then when I finally got myself an adapter, there was this constant clicking that-- no matter what I changed in settings-- would not go away. I went through some sites where other people have been having this problem and apparently it's been happening even to the s10 before this. The person trying to solve this issue posted back in 2020 and it still hasn't been fixed, it's now 2022. The person trying to solve this issue posted back in 2020 and it still hasn't been fixed, it's now 2022. It's quite bothersome since to fix it, I would need to pay for an app or use wireless (which fit in my ears poorly and I don't like very much) I also have earbuds that don't need an adapter to plug into the phone and apparently they aren't supported-- but that's fair, they were cheap things in the first place. All in all, a decent phone so far, unless you use regular earbuds to listen to music or other audios-- which is the thing I use, and expected to work properly. I don't want to have to switch and buy wireless earbuds just to have decent audio. :-(
Last couple phones have been Samsung, most recent was an S9. Overall I like their phones, and this one is just as good with a couple exceptions. The biggest issue I have is the fingerprint sensor, now on the front screen. I prefer tempered glass screen protectors, and the sensor does not work well with them. It is constantly telling me "fingerprint doesn't match." Yes, i scanned my print with the protector installed, and that was a project in and of itself. Second, there are not as many cases or protectors for this model as there is for the Ultra,FE, or Plus. I chose this phone because it is smaller and these items aren't as plentiful. Also the volume buttons got moved from the other side. Otherwise still a very good phone
I had a LG G7, then an LG G8 and after my G8 stopped receiving cell signals, I had to get a new phone. I was always hesitant of Samsung as they usually have extra software that I don't use and i find usually kills the battery and slows the phone. I could but find any performance reviews on the G20 5G, but the hardware seemed impressive, and I have to say that do far I have not regretted the move to Samsung.PROFAST, I mean like really quick switching back and forth to different Apps, and loading programs.Nice clear screen, I find I can view it in direct sunlight.Clear and loud soundSmall, I love a phone that can fit in my pocket, and it seems to be a great compromise of small size, but the front is all screen.CONSI miss my ear phone plug.Battery is ...Ā MoreI had a LG G7, then an LG G8 and after my G8 stopped receiving cell signals, I had to get a new phone. Despite the bright screen it is always there. Heads up Samsung, if you can come out with a screen protector without the circle, I'm willing to forgo opening my phone with my finger. All in all, it's a nice change from my LG, the speed makes up for bloatware, and it feels solid. I hope to have this phone for quite some time.
This phone has an amazing camera, sufficient storage, rapid screen response/refresh rate and sufficient memory. It also supports most apps (even some Apple apps) without constant glitches, the display is nice and bright, speakers work well and I have never experienced any software issues with this phone. However what's really disappointing is that such a high priced smart phone has such an extremely fragile LCD. With a gel and also a tempered glass screen protector and a Samsung brand silicone case on the phone, the screen shattered at the slightest drop. Would be really awesome if Samsung considered much stronger outer body parts for phones so highly priced. It's also quite difficult to have the LCD replaced, most places are unable to source the parts and Samsung ...Ā MoreThis phone has an amazing camera, sufficient storage, rapid screen response/refresh rate and sufficient memory. Would be really awesome if Samsung considered much stronger outer body parts for phones so highly priced. It's also quite difficult to have the LCD replaced, most places are unable to source the parts and Samsung directly comes back at a hefty price of R8500 for a screen replacement.I am truly as shattered as my screen is, if not for the super fragile outer body I planned to use this phone for at least 4-5 years because it is after all the most amazing phone I've ever come across in many years. The fragility of this phone honestly has me doubting every other S range phone released after this one.
I bought a Galaxy S20 FE 5G this year toward the end of April, and, for the most part, it's been a great phone! Nice and snappy, plenty of storage, great features (reverse wirelsss charging and the SD slot have been among my favourites!) and great battery life, it's been a dream to use!So why the negative score? About six or seven months since owning it, around the middle of November, I started to notice oddities in my touchscreen: severe skipping when I use the swipe-to-type feature of the GBoard (when I try to swipe a word, I end up with multiple one or two letter words), dead zones when I try to tap things (having to tap two or three times to get input to register), registering a tap when I try to scroll, entire dead areas if Iām trying to draw something. ...Ā MoreI bought a Galaxy S20 FE 5G this year toward the end of April, and, for the most part, it's been a great phone! Turning Touch Sensitivity on doesnāt fix the issue, performing a Factory Data Reset doesnāt fix the issue. The problem is completely random, so itās near-impossible to reproduce, but this happens frequently enough for me (10 ā 20 times a day) that itās become a major annoyance when using the phone. I contacted Samsung Support who connected to my phone and spent about 30 seconds testing it without issue and dismissed it as having nothing wrong. When I expressed my concern about wanting to have this fixed within my warranty period, they pointed me to an authorized service centre to have the screen replaced. Iāve dropped it off at the service centre whoāve told me that Samsung refuses to fix the screen under warranty because they canāt reproduce the issue on their endAll of this to say that I strongly caution anybody looking to buy this phone that you may end up with problems using your touchscreen and, unless you can provide concrete steps to reproduce the issue (you likely canāt beyond just using the phone and praying that it acts up for the service centre), youāll be expected to cough up to have the screen replaced ā even if youāre still within your warranty period.Between hardware issues with this (and my last Samsung) phone, and the less-than-stellar product support Iāve received, this will be my last Samsung product, and I will be cautioning friends and family against buying Samsung going forward.
I switched from LG and let me tell you I am not satisfied. Screen is good, photos are good, performances are good, but that's it. The battery life is poor at best even with moderate use, scrolling fb, no gaming. It's about the equivalent of my old 5yo LG v20 with cheap aftermarket battery. It sure would help if the AOD would turn off when in my pocket or facing down but no. Anyway you want the AOD to be always on because there is no light to tell you you've got a notification. The best you can get is the edge lighting that blinks once combined with the AOD set to "turn on when notification" but there is so many compatibility problems with the app that most of them don't trigger the AOD anyway. I'm talking basic apps like messenger or Netflix, even with all the authorisations and pop ups turned on. So yeah, battery life is poor because I have to keep opening my screen to see if someont talked to me. I also can't control Netflix casting on chromecast without going back in the app.So in summary:-poor battery life-lacks important features-poor compatibilityYou might think those are small things but there are so much more of them (like sweeping to take a screeenshot, horrible) that it make the whole experience of using the phone unenjoyable.
New condition at 1/4 of the MSRP. This is a solid premium device and THE best phone that I've ever owned. I don't look forward to upgrading this phone any time soon. 12GB RAM. 6.9 inch Gorilla glass Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, HDR10+, 1400 nits (peak) 114.0 cm2 with a 90% screen-to-body ratio! Expandable storage up to 1TB! This is unheard of even in today's 2022 phones. 100x Zoom camera, 8k videos, 4k quality pics, 5000 mAh battery AND a 3200x1440 display!!!! If you're not techy... This is a bad*** phone!!! This is the time to buy as this is Samsungs highest MSRP for any phone and you can get them at a lower price. Trust me, this is the phone to get. Totally an upgrade from my iPhone 12 pro! Apple could never produce this 120hz refresh rate!! Amazing
