Actually they are such good quality that sharing them so they can be put on our website and Facebook by the admins has been a minor issue- file sizes are too big to email more than a couple through Gmail which is overly tedious so I send them via text 3 at a time. Watching yt or other streaming platforms is perfect with no buffering ever basically if you have any signal at all. The feature I use the least on this phone is the actual phone function but it works flawlessly also inside a 40k Sq ft building that has been known to disrupt some communication I've never had an issue. Best phone I've ever had. Adding a picture of a dog just because I can lol

Definitely a good buy, take time to read my review

It did come charged at 85% on pick-up date though, this means it's at the optimal battery percentage charged for the best lifespan for the battery. There is also an option in the smartphone settings to limit the battery to be charged to 85% to increase the battery lifespan. However, from the time I charged my smartphone to 100% I got around 6.5 hours of a lot of screen time, but it was off and on, but nothing extremely resource heavy and my battery was at 54% still. The battery seems really great, although, adaptive battery has to learn my battery usage on this smartphone before it adapts to my usage and could give better performance later on. Leaving my phone on standby only drained the battery around 5% in only 6-7 hours. (I have minimal apps installed, this can change with more apps installed and it can be different for others, a lot of variables to consider)It comes with a USB to type C 15W wall mounted charger and if you want the fastest charging times, you should buy a type C 25W charger separately because a 25W charger will charge from around 40% battery to 100% battery in about 45 minutes or less. A type C 25W charger should be used for best charging times and I would also recommend buying a powerbank that has PD3.0 to charge your smartphone on the go at basically same speeds as a wall mounted charger. A powerbank would give days of charges and not needing to be anywhere near an outlet. (Depending on the size of the powerbank)There isn't anything wrong with this smartphone, as it's a certified refurbish and it says it's water and dust resistant as it states it in the product details meaning it's a quality refurbished smartphone. I expected a little more from the battery life as it sometimes seems to drain a bit quick at mid-high settings for 5G, better visuals and performance etc. That's expected as settings can be lowered and there is a battery saver feature too that can extend battery usage even further at the expense of performance and visuals. You can extend the storage with a microSD card up to 1TB, which is maximum it can have, you can also encrypt your data on the microSD card, so no one can access it outside the smartphone. I think after the sizes of 256 GB or more, the microSD cards get a lot more expensive.Samsung has reasonable prices for their Evo Plus microSD cards, 256 GB is actually cheap. That is lots of photo's and videos it can store, but this phone does have 4K video recording, which is a big plus. If you plan on recording in 4K only, I'd recommend at least 256 GB microSD card or higher. The size of each video recorded in 4K per hour is a high amount of storage VS lower video settings, like 720p or 1080p.Photo's are crystal clear, but make sure to choose the "Full" option at top for your camera photos and videos quality (while using the camera app). This will be the default good quality for photos and videos option and you can edit quality to lower or raise quality. Even the back facing camera can zoom into your scene, like you're up close to the subject in the frame from what it seems to be 25-50+ feet away at least. As for the front facing camera, it's super high resolution. You might notice details in your selfies that you may not have noticed before when using the front facing camera. Very impressed, however, the end of support date is the reason why for the four stars. As it's only a little more then a year of security updates left at the time of this review. This is a very solid all around smartphone, if you're looking for a quality smartphone on a budget, definitely think about putting this one on your buying list. The smartphone has too many features to even give it justice explaining some of them, that being said, I am pleased with my purchase of my smartphone, I would definitely recommend this smartphone, with the marked down price, this is a steal. Can't get much better for the amount of money for this smartphone.I was a bit worried about the disclaimer that some smartphones may have scratches and or scuffs marks, however, my smartphone seems to not have barely any scratches or scuffs. There are slightly barely visible minor marks on the back, although, it can only be seen while holding it to a light (shining the light to see the surface on the back of the smartphone) The marks are not deep, they are very superficial and not really noticeable at all.Nonetheless, this is very minor and I can live with that, since I got a good deal on this smartphone, the barely visible surface marks are nothing to worry about, it is a certified refurbished smartphone, so the high quality standards to repair and fix the smartphone to be sold, means it went through an extensive process to be in working condition and should be in working order when it arrives. (It's somewhat like buying new, but it is refurbished)However, in conclusion, if there is something wrong with your smartphone, there is a 30 day from purchase return policy and it also says buying this smartphone has a 90 day warranty with the third party seller. So returning or using warranty should be easy, by contacting the third party seller. But I doubt you will need to return or use warranty, as this smartphone is in excellent condition. My smartphone I bought was from Gadget Source and it came from Ontario and shipped by UPS. (Be aware if you choose ship to store, it will take longer than delivering to your home address)I hope this in depth review of the unlocked Samsung S20 FE 5G smartphone has been helpful and informative. Thanks for the read :]

This initially concerned me because I purposely purchased an unlocked phone to use on the Verizon network. Thankfully it was truly unlocked and I did not have any issues when I inserted the Verizon SIM card and the phone immediately connected to and operated off their network. For those that may have an issue, AT&T makes it really easy to release the phone from their network. You have to go onto their website and put in a request for release. You will need the phone's IMEI number to do so, which can easily be found in the phone's settings. The processing of my request was extremely quick. AT&T also provides instructions on the initial set up of the phone under the new network. While I did go through this process, I don't believe I needed to. I bought this phone for a family member so I didn't have their Verizon SIM card when I first received the phone to test it out (I use AT&T) and requested the release as a precaution.Overall, the phone looks great, and operates quickly and smoothly! The screen is crisp and with vibrant color. The cameras on the phone appear to be excellent as well and the battery life has been great so far. The speakers on the phone are great too. The family member I purchased this for used to only use speaker phone on their previous phone because they couldn't hear very well from the ear speaker. With this phone they don't have to use speaker phone because the ear speaker is loud and clear. I've also noticed a HUGE improved in clarity of sound from their end of the call. The microphone also does an excellent job filtering out background noise as well. If you're looking to upgrade your phone without crushing your budget, I would definitely consider this phone or other pre-owned options.

Flagship performance for less money!
11 December 2022

The phone has been outstanding. Even though it is considered a mid range device, I haven't noticed any deficiencies. It's fast, smooth and just as good as any phone I have ever had including flagship devices. 120hz refresh rate makes it one of the smoothest I have ever owned. Battery life has been great, although it is starting to get a little shorter lately. But I have also owned this phone for 25 months, so that's kind of expected. Still getting a full day out of it, just have a little less at the end of the day when I go to charge it. Unfortunately, the charging port has stopped working entirely. Fortunately, the 15w wireless charging works great, but I do miss the 25w super fast charging you get by plugging it in. Other than that, this phone has been an absolute beast. I haven't been able to make it hiccup even once. It takes everything I throw at it with no problems. Gaming, multitasking, or just browsing, it runs without a hitch. Even the cameras have been fantastic. I've been very pleased with it and cost less than the s20. I would like to see an S22 FE 5G. I would consider that upgrade for sure!

Great phone..as long as your touchscreen holds out
22 December 2021

I bought a Galaxy S20 FE 5G this year toward the end of April, and, for the most part, it's been a great phone! Nice and snappy, plenty of storage, great features (reverse wirelsss charging and the SD slot have been among my favourites!) and great battery life, it's been a dream to use!So why the negative score? About six or seven months since owning it, around the middle of November, I started to notice oddities in my touchscreen: severe skipping when I use the swipe-to-type feature of the GBoard (when I try to swipe a word, I end up with multiple one or two letter words), dead zones when I try to tap things (having to tap two or three times to get input to register), registering a tap when I try to scroll, entire dead areas if I’m trying to draw something. ... MoreI bought a Galaxy S20 FE 5G this year toward the end of April, and, for the most part, it's been a great phone! Turning Touch Sensitivity on doesn’t fix the issue, performing a Factory Data Reset doesn’t fix the issue. The problem is completely random, so it’s near-impossible to reproduce, but this happens frequently enough for me (10 – 20 times a day) that it’s become a major annoyance when using the phone. I contacted Samsung Support who connected to my phone and spent about 30 seconds testing it without issue and dismissed it as having nothing wrong. When I expressed my concern about wanting to have this fixed within my warranty period, they pointed me to an authorized service centre to have the screen replaced. I’ve dropped it off at the service centre who’ve told me that Samsung refuses to fix the screen under warranty because they can’t reproduce the issue on their endAll of this to say that I strongly caution anybody looking to buy this phone that you may end up with problems using your touchscreen and, unless you can provide concrete steps to reproduce the issue (you likely can’t beyond just using the phone and praying that it acts up for the service centre), you’ll be expected to cough up to have the screen replaced – even if you’re still within your warranty period.Between hardware issues with this (and my last Samsung) phone, and the less-than-stellar product support I’ve received, this will be my last Samsung product, and I will be cautioning friends and family against buying Samsung going forward.

I bought this as an upgrade for college and honestly, it has survived so much of my college shenanigans I feel like its invincible. Accessories include a basic clear, TPU case and an Am@zon recommended screen protector. I am notorious for throwing my phone because I think it's easier for me to set down my phone somewhere far away so I am not tempted to scroll for hours. Thus, throwing my phone somewhere across the room has been the best option for me. It has survived crashing into my bed, my roommate's bed, the open closet, the drawers, and most frequently, the cement floors. Not a mark, a scratch, a dent, or any obvious changes to performance. It has been 8 months since I first touched this phone.Other than it's invincibility, the performance is nothing to ... MoreI bought this as an upgrade for college and honestly, it has survived so much of my college shenanigans I feel like its invincible. Everything runs as normal and I can run big games such as Gensh1n 1mpact without it lagging or force closing at random times like my 1Pad (sigh). Design is as customizable as always and I appreciate that there are so many options to being able to choose my accessibility.I originally only wanted the S20 FE orange edition because of the bright color but honestly, I have found so many more ways that I appreciate this phone.

Long term review
2 November 2022

This is a long-term review of the Galaxy s20 FE. I've had this phone for almost 2 years so I think I can provide some insight. First of all, I love the features of this phone, many of which are no longer included in many android offerings. For example, MST is still very useful in the United States as there are still grocery stores that do not accept NFC payments. So the MST acts like a regular credit card by creating a magnetic field around and allowing payments to go through on Samsung pay. I also really appreciate the microSD card slot which allows expandable storage so you never have to pay extra to upgrade the storage on your phone unless you are a heavy app user. Lastly, I appreciate that at this price point, Samsung provided a panel that is 120 Hertz and this makes the experience a whole lot smoother. Now almost after 2 years, however I still feel like I need to upgrade. I had a lot of bugs on the s20 FE. Nothing serious but a lot of annoying things. For example, whenever I entered Instagram app it would always freeze for a little bit. Over time, I also noticed that the phone eventually slowed down and lagged a little bit, but that is probably just due to the phone having so much storage over these years. The cameras were fine. Nothing crazy, good or bad. I liked that I had the option of three cameras. The ultra wide camera was almost unusable in low light though, as well as the telephoto camera. The main camera was good but all three cameras did soften images a bit. I feel like for video this is about on par as most Android phones, but maybe falling a bit behind in 2022. It was fine for the almost 2 years I've had it but I wanted to move to something more clean, intuitive, and smooth. So I ended up upgrading to the Pixel 7 and don't regret it one bit.

POOR Nighttime FLASH Photography - (Bring your own light source and shut off the flash :( )
15 June 2023

Nighttime photography - get rid of the FLASH PROBLEM Longer Battery Life - It lasts 7 hrs. 20 mins of about 5 hrs of use. I bought this because my co-worker and friend have the same S20 fe and their photographs were amazing, especially of the full moon (at night of course). I am so disappointed in the night photos mine takes. There's a circle of glowing light in nearly every night photo. I tried holding the camera differently, cleaning the lenses & flash, tried every setting, still this circle distorts 65% to 95% of the shot, mostly from left to right or center, on pretty much all of my nighttime photographs. I was able to determine it is from the flash. If I disable the flash and use my own light source (headband LED light bar/spot), the circle doesn't appear in ... MoreNighttime photography - get rid of the FLASH PROBLEM Longer Battery Life - It lasts 7 hrs. 20 mins of about 5 hrs of use. I was able to determine it is from the flash. If I disable the flash and use my own light source (headband LED light bar/spot), the circle doesn't appear in the photo and the photos are great. If I take a photo at dawn without the flash again, the photos are, again, very nice, nevertheless, the flash sucks. I am required to take photos throughout my shift as part of my duties at work, I am fortunate that my boss & the client do not care about the circles of distortion in the least so for work purposes the camera problem is only a problem for me personally. Grrrr. The camera does perform exceptionally well in daylight and low light without the flash, so I guess that's a consolation. I haven't had a clear night to take a moon shot yet. I am saddened by the fact that my friends who have the same cellphone do not suffer from the same issue mine has. I also noticed the battery life is nearly as bad as my old phone. The battery lasts as long as my shift along with my commute so it could be worse. I simply have it plugged into the charger as much as possible. I am disappointed. I was so looking forward to the awesome camera photos of the S20 fe that my friend & coworker have but somehow, I got a somewhat defective unit, dissatisfied and to be honest, after so looking forward to finally getting a cellphone with a good camera, I admit I am a little heartbroken. If you could send me a replacement while I continue to use mine for work and then once the replacement is doing what my job requires I could then send back the defective one so as not to have an interruption in use, I would really appreciate that, however, I hardly expect that from any seller as it would be a rare act/accommodation. The 3 photos on the left are with the flash, the 2nd photo from the right is with my own light source and the 5th is without the flash and with just my car's headlights at dusk. I guess I have to bring my own light source wherever I go... :/

Review compared to a Star Rating

What I would expect from an S Series Samsung
2 March 2023

Replaced my S10 with the S20, as it is the latest samsung S series with expandable memory. The tray for putting in the memory card is not 100% obvious and different from samsung page and previous models, but it is more sturdy, and less fiddley than the old one once you realise the card goes underneath.Everything is better than the S10 as you would expect. Better camera, better battery, slightly bigger, everything else as I would expect. I mostly use it for audio books, streaming music to headphones using bluetooth, looking up info online when out and about, and occasional movie watching in bed when I can't sleep.Serious net surfing on it is not what I use it for though, so cannot comment on that, I use a PC at home for that stuff. This is my third S series ... MoreReplaced my S10 with the S20, as it is the latest samsung S series with expandable memory. Never had any issues with any of them.I only upgraded from my S10 because my kid dropped and finally damaged the screen on their S7. They will get the S10. Only a lack of memory slot in newer S series will stop me getting another S when it comes time to renew this one.
