I wish I knew beforehand. I received the phone along with the cord and charger. The phone did have scratches around the edges but otherwise looked good. The problem was trying to get it to work with Straight Talk, even though it is unlocked and shows in the listing that it works with Straight Talk. I bought a new SIM card at Walmart along with the monthly usage card. After trying to connect with Straight Talk I found I could not. It kept asking for the MEID/IMEI code for the phone. The phone showed nothing for MEID so I used the IMEI code. The network kept showing it as invalid for the phone. I tried calling the 786.393.6862 number for "Greentechrefurbished' (on the paper included with the phone) but it is a bad number and doesn't reach anything. I was hoping Walmart would provide a legitimate product.

I got this last year for my Christmas present but came almost 2 oaths late in the mail! Super slick and prone to slip outta your hands without a case, ring, and/or screen protector. Which is eventually what I ended up having to track down all over the place because at this point all the stores were carrying was S20's and S21's. Nothing more other than the A series of the same thing just different store! I love the purple color too but it's covered anyway with a case. So there is a lot to consider when choosing an older phone no longer carried in local stores! But it also doesn't compare to the S22 Ultra i had the chance to test out either... But my phone is configured into my brain and I know what it does and doesn't do the majority of the time! Makes me feel slow ...Ā MoreI got this last year for my Christmas present but came almost 2 oaths late in the mail! I bought this phone because it has flagship specs and--with the release of the S21--it was cheaper than even higher-end mid-rangers (read, Pixel 5). It's a sleek and beautiful looking phone. I love that it's thicker than phones used to be and doesn't require a case to add bulk for it to be more comfortable to hold when I'm using it. And the battery life is phenomenal. Overall, I'm sure all the specs are great and I love the high-end screen (that's mostly why I wanted it), but it's a bit long in my opinion. It's good for fitting more icons per home screen, but it can be a little problematic when playing games. So far I've only played this one trucking game I love, but I definitely find it harder to handle on this phone than on my S6 Edge because the screen is so much ...Ā MoreI bought this phone because it has flagship specs and--with the release of the S21--it was cheaper than even higher-end mid-rangers (read, Pixel 5). So far I've only played this one trucking game I love, but I definitely find it harder to handle on this phone than on my S6 Edge because the screen is so much longer and has no bezels to rest my fingers on. As far as streaming goes, if the phone's too wide for the picture you just get black bars on the sides, which defeats the purpose of the larger screen. Frankly, I'd much prefer a shorter (and slightly wider) phone. But, my biggest complaint about this phone is the lack of control I have over how the proprietary software works. Between Verizon and Samsung, the phone is full of bloatware, and deleting these apps or removing their permissions is not allowed. Forexample, Bixby has been granted permission to use location, storage, camera, contacts, microphone and phone without any option for me to deny these permissions or remove Bixby altogether, even if I don't use it. It just says, "Device requires this permission to operate" for every one, which is a cop-out BS excuse by any measure, since literally every other non-Samsung Android phone can work without Bixby or its permissions. Likewise, I use my phone on Tracfone and I periodically get a notification that the SIM card is not a Verizon SIM card. Going into this notification's settings, the option to turn it off is greyed-out, so I am sentenced to dismissing this BS reminder every couple days for however many years I have this phone. And Google has this annoying requirement that if you use what they term a "secondary tier authentication modality" (i.e. the fingerprint reader), every 72 hours you will have to enter your password or passcode ("primary tier authentication modality") in order to unlock the phone, whether you want to or not, with no way to change or remove this requirement except for going with no security at all. They say it's for "additional security", but that's a BS excuse, too. Now, there is no doubt that I paid good money for this phone and I OWN it outright. As the owner of the hardware, I should have the ultimate say in how that hardware is used--not Google, not Samsung, not Verizon. Greyed-out permission toggles should never be allowed or tolerated. I have purposely avoided upgrading to a new phone for the last few years precisely because I didn't want to have to deal with this type of encroachment on my property rights and autonomy by Big Tech. The S20 may be an eye-dazzling powerhouse, but it's self-defeating shortcomings and outright disrespect of my personal space is a deal-breaker. I loved my S6 Edge, but with the changes Google has made to Android in the past few years and Samsung's insistence on polluting my phone with bloatware, this phone has single-handedly ruined Samsung and Android for me, and I will never again buy another Samsung phone. Maybe the Android experience is more amenable from a "less-bloated" manufacturer or on the pure-Android of a Google Pixel, but between Samsung and Verizon's hijacking my permission controls and Google's "Big Brother" approach to security, I think I'll dump this phone and get an iPhone...and I hate Apple.

From the packing the phone came in to trying to activate it. I have had problems and have returned this phone. Firstly, the package this phone came in was not great. It came loose in a box that was too big for the phone. I could feel the phone hitting the sides of the box. I would think they would have secured the item a little better and not be free falling in the box. Even though this is a refurbished phone Iām still paying $400+ for it and that still a lot of money. Secondly, this phone is supposed to be unlocked, which means I can use any carrier. Secondly, this phone is supposed to be unlocked, which means I can use any carrier. I was trying to activate Mint Mobile but I got the error of āInvalid Sim Cardā after much trouble shooting with mint mobile they advised my phone must not be unlocked and I need to contact the manufacturer. In the description of this phone listed on QVC is says to contact CCR Warranty for SIM card troubleshooting. I did and they have no idea what I was talking about, they said we are a warranty company we do not troubleshoot phones. After that I called QVC support, they advised I called Samsung. They were helpful and made a ticket for someone to call me back to unlock the phone. Although, no one called me back. At this point I packed the phone up for return. The general condition of the phone was good and like new. When I turn on the phone the AT&T logo flashes so that provider this phone is still connected too. Donāt waste your time on this phone.
I replaced my beloved LG G5 with the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE UW based on the reviews and the camera specs. I like the size of the phone which is basically the same width as my G5 but about 3/4 of an inch taller. Easy to hold and use. However, the display and camera I found to not be any better than my 4 year old G5 and in some instances not as good (selfie camera). Part of the problem may be one of expectations because I had read that AMOLED displays are superior to LCD IPS screens, I am not finding that to be the case in the S20 FE which has an AMOLED display. The FE display is not bad, it is just doesn't seem to be quite as good as my G5's LCD IPS screen as far as depth, color and clarity. The display in one thing but the selfie camera in another. While I had read that Samsung's pictures tend to have a "hyper real" look which did not sound bad to me in theory but in practice I do not like it. The pictures seem to have an exaggerated sharpness combined with a flatness. As one reviewer wrote , "Samsung does not like shadows" and I would agree. The shadows are all lightened which takes away from the the depth of the pictures. I am happy to report the rear camera does not suffer the same flatness as the selfie camera and on the positive side, the rear camera does havean optical zoom feature which the G5 does not. They both have Ultra wide. I will also point out that both cameras has several adjustment options and I have not tried most of them yet so one may be able to adjust them better to one's liking. As far as the phone and the features it has, I generally like it, and the transfer of apps from my G5 was pretty easy so I am not totally unhappy with my purchase just surprised that the camera and the display didn't quite live up to the hype.
At this point, any Samsung S20 is a good value. I got the S20 Ultra and I must say I did not expect this phone to be this big and heavy. On retrospect, I probably should have gone with the S20 Plus, which goes for less money but offers pretty much everything this phone has without the extra weight and size; the main difference between the two, I think, it's the zoom camera in the Ultra, which I probably won't use as much. I'm still happy with the purchase and this is a great phone, even two years after it's release but at less than half it's original cost. Very sturdy, fast and with good storage (and the possibility to add much more with a micro SD card). Although not as fresh a battery as a new 2022 model, the battery on my phone still hold up the whole day.
I'm very pleased with the Samsung S20 5G as it was in mint physical condition as was advertised. However, I had a struggle with SIM card not working (no phone/data and got the infamous "Airplane Mode On, all the time" error which did not help during setup) until I did a full factory reset. I guessed it had been given a clean reset and that this was already done, but it needed another full reset to get the bugs out. Also, the Walmart description (specifications) was minimal and they failed to mention that this phone has NO dual SIM card tray and therefore will not accept any more memory from a SD Micro card, so I'm stuck with only the phones 128GB. This phone has only a single slot tray for the SIM card. Many advertised S20's have the dual tray... but not this one. ...Ā MoreI'm very pleased with the Samsung S20 5G as it was in mint physical condition as was advertised. All in all a fairly good phone for the price but it would be wise for you to dig into the specifications to be sure you get ALL the features you want and expect, as I did not get the dual SIM tray as is very typical for this phone.
This was my first Samsung phone. It is easy to use with no lags at all. Microsoft apps are the exception. Those apps get stuck and force a re-start. Battery is great. The recharge happens super fast. The performance is as fast as the first day i had it, even though i have many more apps installed now. Loading after re-start is not the fastest but it works. In retrospect, i believe this phone was somewhat overpriced but i cannot question its reliability with everything from audio and video recording and playback to WiFi and gaming functionality.
Galaxy S20 plus. It's a pretty awesome phone and the camera is amazing. There are tons of videos online for setting up and using the phone. I needed a sturdy phone with a really good camera but couldn't afford a new flagship phone, so refurbished is a viable alternative. The phone I received was described as excellent and it really is like brand new. No scratches, dings, or flaws anywhere on the phone. Normal Samsung and Google bloatware. Some of it you can remove if you want to. The Aura Blue is very beautiful. Since the phone is glass front and back it is pretty slippery so you will probably want a case on it. I'm still learning how to use the various cameras as the phone is capable of producing incredible photography and video. Overall I think I made the right ...Ā MoreGalaxy S20 plus. Although I am still getting accustomed to the phone, I am very favorably impressed with it. The size is good; picture quality is excellent and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the camera and the picture quality of the camera. I was also wowed by the long life of the battery. I believe I could use it for at least two days without charging it but so far I've charged it nightly. I may put it to the test over the next two or three days to let the battery completely discharge. I still have not taken advantage of all the features on the phone--nor have I found all the features. WAY more phone than I was accustomed to.
