Samsung has gone an ruined the Galaxy phone line with the S21 model. Compared with my 2 year old S10+ this phone is on par at best or WORSE in every single aspect. On a related note: the Samsung Type-c to 3.5mm adaptor dongle is GARBAGE. And on another related note: the Samsung galaxy buds physically hurt to wear after very short time (possible a worse design even compared with the S21!). One would have thought that if they wanted to force a change to Bluetooth headphones they would come up with a wider range that suit more people… but I digress… [WORSE!!!!!]Accessories: be warned, this phone DOES NOT come with a charger, cable, adaptor, headphones etc. (which honestly would all be handy given the limitations highlighted above). The one thing it did come with was a Type-c to Type-c cable included which made the process of switching my apps/contacts etc. over a breeze (but only to discover the same apps work less well on the S21 compared with the S10+). [worse]Overall I really am struggling to find the change to this new model an upgrade in any way. It seems to be overall slower with the same set of apps and even the Bluetooth which is being force upon us seems to have a worse time connecting compared with the S10+. I hate to say it as im now stuck with this phone but the S10+ was a superior phone.

I upgraded to this phone from a Sony Experior Platinum... I think I make a mistake ... I primarily bought this phone for use while driving & that it has a remote charging feature. I use an Android head unit in my car n had no problems with Experia Z connecting to the head unit while driving the new phone a Samsung Galaxy S22+ I end up fighting for the first hour of any drive trying to get the phone to pair with the head unit both with Bluetooth for music n WiFi for Google maps. Also, I find it very difficult to get both connections working simultaneously as the Bluetooth turns off the WiFi.. so if I change from the current Google map route n the app needs to redirect me, the app can't recalculate when using the Bluetooth connection as a lot of the places I drive do ... MoreI upgraded to this phone from a Sony Experior Platinum... All this is very frustrating n dangerous whitest driving believe me!I have also been unable to get the Android Auto app to work between the phone & the head unit even though I have down loaded both the latest versions of the app on my phone & the head unit in my car. Also the sync apps would not work either so weather there is some sort of difference in the Android software in both systems I am not sure however both the head unit n the phone are less there 6 months old.

It has no expandable memory, 3 camera lenses just confuse the software so getting it to focus on what you want plus everything else in frame is almost impossible. The amount of bloatware is hair pulling stressful especially when you can't uninstall any of it nor disable them. The rest of the world gets a dual sim card slot..not America though. 99% of the apps don't work in landscape mode, including samsung's own galaxy store. Auto correct is horrible, it always corrects correctly spelled words and it's suggested words are never even close. The battery life is terrible, it's own bloatware is usually responsible for it. One of the worst things, especially living in Florida, is the screen gets up to 112°F (44°C). Though the experience isn't without an occasional hiccup, the experience left me satisfied and the speed of the device is still remarkable.The Camera array on this device is a triple camera set up with a 12 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra wide and a 64 MP sensor used for telephoto capabilities and 8k recording at 24 fps.Though the 8K recording seems to still be rather limited, the phone shines in taking stills in challenging lighting situations and the video quality is of great quality in good lighting.In lower light, both the Main and Ultra wide cameras arecapable of outputting great photos especially when utilizing the night mode function. Lowlight videos tend to suffer from noise and lessened stability though the output is still among the upper tier of smartphone video. Overall the camera array still holds ups even 2 years later, and the results speak for themselves.After 2 years, the battery life has depleted a bit and there are occasional hiccups that occur when performing challenging tasks. Despite this, the S21 5G has handled every obstacle and challenge I've put it through. I've dropped the phone countless times, handled it roughly and even so the phone holds up. I hope to hold on to this device for a bit longer before I upgrade to hopefully an even better Galaxy S device.

But overall, I feel it has lost more of the handy features they used to have than it gained, unless you shoot a lot of low light pictures.

The display is great it has a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. The battery is big enough for all day use, even a year later. I never find myself having to change my phone throughout the day. I only charge it when I go to sleep. I watch some videos online, use social media and listen to music and I still have about 30% at the end of the night. The battery is big enough for all day use, even a year later. I never find myself having to change my phone throughout the day. I only charge it when I go to sleep. I watch some videos online, use social media and listen to music and I still have about 30% at the end of the night. It's a great feeling, I feel safe having that peace of mind that my phone is not dead because I use my phone for everything: as a keyless entry, to pay using Samsung Pay, to order an ride, to make calls, for directions. It's a great phone and a great investment because it will last several years and you won't need to buy another phone during that time.
I got this phone as a gift last Christmas and I couldn't have asked for a better gift. I've always been a devoted Apple user and never thought to ever get a Samsung phone. However, after seeing an ad for the Samsung Galaxy S21, I could not get my eyes off of the design and the amazing colors! If I do end up upgrading, I'll definitely have Samsung as my top choice, because after switching over?... I seriously can't look back.
I changed from apple in 2010 to Samsung and have never had any issues with any of the phones, I have only ever not had a Samsung 9. This phone is by far the absolute worst phone I have ever had If I could give this phone a rating of -1 I would. My whole family has this phone and it is so bad we are all considering switching to iPhones because of the quality of the Samsung 21 which really upsets me as I've always loved this brand and have been a loyal customer for more than 10years now and I really don't want to switch to an iPhone but if this is quality of phones Samsung now produce its not worth being a customer anymore. It gets so hot that I have to take my phone case off it and leave it for almost an hour to cool down. I have done every reset possible from speaking Samsungs customer service team to my service providers customer service team every system reboot and software update. I have done EVERYTHING and nothing stops this from happening. I thought I just had a lemon of the pack but my parents both have the same phone exact issue with theirs and as an older generation they do not have any social media apps or download anything for the phones to crash all the time and get so hot, they literally only use it to call and text people and that's sometimes only a few times a week! Due to this experience with my phone and my families and some friends who have the exact same phone I realized that my phone is not a lemon its actually just the Samsung S21. I was given the option to send the phone in to get looked, after explaining iam in lockdown and cant go anywhere I also do not have a replacement phone to use in the meantime and no phone replacement phone was offered. This phone constantly crashes if I even open up any of the apps already installed into the phone when you purchase it, has completely switched off while in the middle of business calls and meetings and is absolutely the worst phone I have ever had 1000% and comparing it to my 2010 iPhone that phone is better than the Samsung S21. I would absolutely never recommend this phone to anyone thinking of purchasing it!
