The tags are an improvement from the previous verson. I like the bigger hole but maybe a bit to big. Setup is good however navigating some options is odd, for some options you have to go into the map to see more options of detail tags. The NFC tap on any device like PETs is great but how will any non Samsung tag user know this. We need a case or abilty to write on the tag -Tap on any NFC device- or have it preprinted. If i have it on a pet or key chain and an iphone user finds it. How will they know what to do with the tag?

I bought 3 weeks ago, works perfect, the extended battery life is a +. The only drawback is the new keychain ring form for pets. With the previous Smarttag + you can insert in a cover and strap it in the collar pets, now if you want to do the same it looks awful, please, made a smart tag designed to pet collars! Other than that, it is flawless!

I finally got my hands on the smarttag2! I was hunting for these as they sorta disappeared and people were charging double on amazon. I ordered at 130am on launch day to get it in time for our trip! The sleek design is so adorable. Smoothe and nice to the touch. VOlume is pretty loud. If it's inside a carry on the sound is slightly muffled but at least u can hear it. Not sure if i'll be able to hear it in a busy airport but at least we have the location. I love the real time search near by. It's pretty accurate. I will have peace of mind on all our luggage pieces on vacation!! THank u for bringing this back in time for our trip!

Only had them for a few days. Concerned that someone stealing my car with SmartTag2 onboard will be able to pick up that they're being tracked, and then make it beep so they can locate it. Needs answers from Samsung (not publicly, but only available in paper instructions, and not online) if this is an issue, or how they stop it being an issue? If it has time delay before notifying thief, giving time to tag as lost, to avoid notifying thief? Who knows? Love the functionality. Need yet to test its reliability. Will do this week. Does every Samsung phone that gets close to it, collect location data from it, or only those with smart things loaded and option to "help" people track/locate turned on? love this tag, i put it on my backpack and where ever i go i can track its location. the new look is simple but fresh nice touch. this is great for backpacks, handbags, luggage, and purses (etc.) Best part is it tells me if i have left it behind, so i never worry about miss placing it. MUST BUY GALAXY TAG!!
This Galaxy Tag is amazing i have the gen 1 tag and it was great and it still going, saw the new one coming out and knew i had to get it. Its amazing so happy i got 2 of them. looks and feels great and i can control my lights amazing. is pretty good at pin pointing my backpack if ever left behind.
I hope this is not just a good key finder device in the future. But currently that is all it does for me. Cannot use with not Galaxy phones. Why not work with other Android devices??? You are not Apple. Be a part of the community - Please!
It's not bad bought 3 of them they seem to be functioning okay and get pickup up pretty often by nearby devices so keeping tabs on the device isn't to bad but it seems to be spoofed. I have one in my car it has been at home all day but it's picking up like 1/4 mile down the street a few times every day. The app also has some odd time stampings that are hard to understand when exactly it was where.
It works fine, but as soon as it breakdown there is no customer support. I have tried for support for smart tag before and tried for hours and no conclusion. The customer support just keeps passing you around and at last disconnecting abruptly. I am using this tag just because i have a samsung phone, and once the phone dies, it is the last samsung thing i will probably use.

The biggest let down os the battery life and connection/location reliability.These were promoted to be a huge step up in reliability from previous models, which I've had all of them now. We use these on our kids backpacks, our key sets and our dogs collars.I started off just buying 2 to see how they are, and I'm glad I didnt buy more than that. I put these on our dogs collars, one lost connection within a week even though we live in a small apartment and don't walk the dogs more than 2 to 3 miles per day.
