Not the highest resolution screen, but the ruggedness of the tablet more than makes up for that. I love that I can use this when my hands are wet by using the stylus as well. Really well thought out product. My only knock would be that the speaker is REALLY poor quality, it is inaudible with any kind of background noise even at the highest volumes. You either need to wear headphones or pair this to a bluetooth speaker to be able to realistically use it with sound.

Heres a pro comment. I haven't found a anything I don't like. Nothing. If I had to pick out one item that Samsung could improve on for this outdoor tablet, it would be direct sunlight readability, Its still a little weak in that department.

Not obliterated does it not have an option for hiit training, which is freaking ridiculous... but more importantly.. .It Doesn't track heart rate or calories burned accurately at all, but extremely off once you get into high intensity. Oxygen sensor had me at 191bpm and this POS had me at 140?! 😡🤬😡🤬According to this thing i burn more calories walking on a treadmill for 45 min no incline, than i do hiit kick boxing for 45 min. Brilliant. And the newest fail it has, is randomly ending the workout while I'm in the middle of training. Real nice for tracking huh? 👎👎👎👎👎I've had it 3 months. Useless. I wish i could get my money back.

Really good tablet and fast response on it. I've bought the same one new before but grandkids have broken them so bought second hand and it is just as good. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks
I was thinking I need the Tab Active 3, but costwise the Tab Active 2 fit my budget. Now though, I'm glad I didn't stump up loads more money for the Tab 3 as the Tab 2 is a great tablet, especially when system updated to it's highest OS. The rugged case is good but I need the Tab2 in a super rugged case as it's clamped to a land surveying pole, so will get all sorts of knocks, drizzle, dust, coffee etc The sketch pen is amazing as I often need to do small sketches on the side on my tapped data input numerals. Having the Tab2 camera right on the surveying pole is also a gain as I don't have to fire up a camera or phone to take on the go shots of features. Battery is great, long running, screen on mostly as I don't want to keep waking it up to type data. Battery is great, long running, screen on mostly as I don't want to keep waking it up to type data. It is heavy, as I had to upgrade the pole clamp to keep the Tab2 in steady position, but it's weight is part of it's appeal of being super robust, a peice of quality in your hands, not a flexible domestic tablet for a third the price. The Tab2 is still an expensive tablet but the screen definition is lesser than the Tab3, however I can't tell the difference as the Tab2 screen is that good. A rare piece of kit that I will certainly grow old with rather than upgrade like all my other bits of kit.
Pros: Works with software wellCons: Battery life is rubbish as a work tool. Battery lasted 3hours. And screen is difficult to see in daylight
The product's page advertises that the device can be submerged in 5 feet of water for 30 minutes. I submerged the device in 6 inches of water for 5 seconds and the unit broke. I sent the device for warranty repair (only 2 months old) and was told that the device wasn't covered for warranty repair because of water damage. I called and worked with an agent and they realized it was crazy to claim water damage on something that is suppose to be rugged like this tablet. It has been about 2 months and I have not received a replacement or fixed unit. They want to replace the device with a tablet that is about half of the retail price and is not waterproof. This device would be awesome if it worked, customer support was better, and they actually honored the warranty. I have always been a fan of the Galaxy Active lines and what they offer, haveing had every Active Samsung has made from the S4-S8 Active devices as well as the Original Tab Actives. Nothing beats the ruggedness durability of them. These devices are made for use while working in non office environments, which as a Teleco Network Feild Technician I am in always. Be it in a Data center, satalites and cellular surveys on building tops in the rain or open construction sites my devices need to be rugged, usable, and reliable. This definetly is what I need a tool to be counted on.
Pros: I like the ruggedness of it. It's cool it comes with a pen. It does everything I need. I can put a sim card and an sd card in it. It's water resistant. It's a good size.Cons: It is quite expensive..
I've been a good customer and I'm on my 4th Galaxy Tab, but this one is a nightmare. It was only being sold in 16B so I assumed would be adequate, but I didn't know there are gigabytes of Samsung apps on it that I don't need but can't remove. It told me the internal memory was nearly full after only 2 months! I got a memory card and moved over every app I could and defaulted photo storage etc to the card. Now, another 4 months later it's saying its full again and not letting me update Google or add other apps. It's telling me to remove unused apps, but I don't have any unused apps on it. I have LESS apps on it than my last Galaxy tab, which I loved and had for 4 years.I know I can get an app to force the tab to treat the external card as if it is internal ... MoreI've been a good customer and I'm on my 4th Galaxy Tab, but this one is a nightmare. Surely it's misselling to claim it's 16 gig when you have taken a huge chunk of that for your own apps?I've had a P1000, PRO SM-T325NZWADB, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7in. ALL better than this Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 SM-T395.
