Samsung Microsd Card Evo Plus With Adapter 128GB

This microsd card performs excellently when functioning well. Opening files, copying folders and saving a lot of images/mp4 has been a breeze. Unfortunately, mine started malfunctioning last week when it refused to write files. It went to read only mode and using formatting tools or force overwrite didn't help either. Good thing you can still access the files and create a backup for it in pc. Maybe mine hit the limit after using it to store a lot of images these past few months. Overall, still a good card but maybe not built for frequent writing.

Amazing product

This card provides exactly what I have come to expect from Samsung: Perfect performance without a fuss. I was fooled into purchasing a cheap no-name card here, which was terrible. After days of fighting that card to put data on it (many reformats, etc) and only managing to use 10% of its capacity, I threw that card away (by then, the return period had passed). I then ordered this card. What a refreshing experience: I was able to get all of my data copied over from my old 256GB EVO card onto this one (~200GB) in less than 3 hours! Boom! Check Disk (CHKDSK) revealed no issues with the new card after copying everything in a single move (even though the card got warm, as you'd expect). This product fails miserably to deliver expected high speed transfers. Samsung claims file transfer speeds are UP TO 130 Mb/s. Technically, this is true, but only because any number between 0 and 130 can be considered UP TO 130. The reality from my experience is a high of 23 Mb/s, an alarming 107 Mb/s slower than the potential highest speed. Yes, I know many factors have to be considerd - internet connection, computer,etc. While my setup is far from superlative, it is certainly capable of file transfer speeds of up to 130 Mb/s. I use a Lenovo IdeaPad 3. Connection is Xfinity Broadband with speeds up to 300 Mb/s. My computer and one mobile phone are the only devices connected to the network. I will credit Samsung for its phrasing of "UP TO" involving transfer speed. It is not a lie, it's just unlikely to happen. In the same context, everywhere is within walking distance if you have the time.

Good performance with possible flaws.

It fits snug into the Moto smartphone micro SD card tray.Inserting and especially removing the SD card from its original standard SD card adapter is a bit challenging, as the micro SD card fits a bit too snug, so removing it from its adapter involves extra effort.Thanks so much for reading my review!

When I need a new or bigger SD card for storage, I wait as long as possible because the $20 I spend one year usually gets me double the capacity and speed the next year. And this nice little card is no exception. Its easily double what I got last year in speed and capacity. I use to buy exclusively one brand. Lately it seems the other big names have greatly increased in quality and reliability to make them worth a try. Samsung mainly has really increased in my trust of quality and reliability in storage needs. Not buying their phones. But they have my attention for storage. The speed is as quoted and maybe a bit higher depending on the device I use it in.Another plus. White SD cards are easier to spot if they fall out while trying to load.

I purchased the Samsung EVO Plus 256GB Micro-SDXC storage card for my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Tablet. This storage card worked perfectly after I installed it into my Tablet. My Samsung Tablet originally came loaded with 256GB of storage and I'm only using 20% of the internal storage. Now after I installed this SD card I have a whopping 512GB storage. I use it for storing all of my movie downloads. So far I have 53 full length movies stored on the Samsung Micro SD Card for a total of 76GB and I've only used 32% of the SD card. Stopped working - no customer support

Surprising feature

I bought this few months ago.I thought I was just a normal Micro SD card, so I was reluctant to write a review until last week. I accidentally placed the little card in my pocket and it was sent for laundry!OMG! The card contained lots of important files and it was in the washer and spin dry!!I quickly checked the card after let it air dry for a day. Thank goodness, all files remained untouched when I opened it. The little card and adapter still functioning well. Thanks Samsung.I would suggest Samsung to design a little hole or slot for us to place key-chain or something for easy tracing.
