I was going to order a separate tv stand but there are no holes on this size to connect it. Also, I can not use my VCR or DVD player, even after getting the suggested adapters. This disappoints me a lot. I am not a big technology person and I use the Samsung remote for basically Netflix and Prime and the Xfinity remote for everything else. The remote on this tv is way too small and needs to light up. Very hard to use. The biggest complaint I have is that when I put the tv on, the picture takes way too long to appear on the screen. It is faster on my 50 inch, same model. I am glad the tv has a sleep timer, a feature I always need. The colors are very bright and vivid and as in most smart tv’s, one can not see all the colors and clarity if not right in front of it. I can not say that I LOVE the tv, but it is OK.

A very good TV is looking directly at it.

That's why in one part of the review it got a "standard" rating on "Ease of Use" and 4/5 on "Value" because to the color fade when viewing from say 30˚ to the side.

Brilliant Budget QLED (With a couple of issues)

I was initially concerned about the quality of the unit I purchased, due to the following issues;1. When the screen would cut out at seemingly random points while on Netflix/Amazon/Disney+. Through trial and error, I discovered that this only happened when the content being streamed changed from HDR to non-HDR and vice-versa (or maybe different format content). The point at which it flicks off for a split second varies between apps, but scrolling Netflix allowed me to replicate the cut-out for certain titles. It has done it a few times on HDMI (which could be unseated cables), but generally it's alright.2. Getting the Voice Assistant set up was a nightmare. It simply would not activate, despite being enabled on every platform. I found that re-syncing the Smart Remote (which is no easy feat, by the way, and often results in unexplainable "function not found" errors) did the trick, and now it works perfectly.4. The Reverse-Sound Sync option (delaying the picture instead of audio to synchronise sound) as seen on previous models, is gone! My soundbar has no adjustment, so I have to live with my TV being slightly out of sync. Samsung, the processor is incredibly fast in this model, so please get this feature added via a software update!I can't tell whether some of the above are firmware/hardware issues, but I am somewhat reticent to take the TV back for a replacement as it's all set up and mounted to the wall. Also, the 5 year Samsung Warranty will be more than sufficient if these problems get worse!Aside from the above, when the TV works, it's a masterpiece. It's everything I could ask for from a budget QLED with intense blacks and proper scene replication in low-light scenes, WiFi is consistently good and the Operating System (main reason I upgraded) is super fast and easy to use!I bought the 43 inch model for just under £600, and it is the perfect bedroom TV for anyone who wants a premium model but doesn't want to break the bank for a TV that'd spend most of it's time unused. Even with the gripes I mentioned, I love this TV!

Definitely not a plug and play and walk away
27 June 2022

Coming from a Vizio that dies after 3 years, this TV has a lot to offer. Very nice picture (actually amazing)especially once I put it in dynamic mode. Sound isn't great but more than adequate for the room size. If you are looking for a plug and play and walk away TV, this is not the one for you. The app is quite confusing (and I am not a novice) and took a couple hours to set up. The manual is also somewhat confusing and doesn't present a step by step approach to set up the television. For example, when turning on the TV you are presented with all your apps where I would rather it tuned on to the last app I used. It turned out there was a setting for that but it took a while to find it. Setting up the sound was also confusing with many of the options greyed out. ... MoreComing from a Vizio that dies after 3 years, this TV has a lot to offer. Tried to put in on wall mount but when going through the questions and answers I found 2 different sizes listed. It turns out that depending on the size of the TV the screw sizes are different. The 32 inch takes M4-1.25 pitch. The remote is not at all intuitive. The apps load very quickly (much faster than the Visio with the Roku platform). I like the fact that the remote is rechargeable by either USB-C or light, Some no-so-good things are the lack of a mute button, a simple exit button to exit an app. Took a while to figure out that left and right buttons on the side of the center button are the fast forward and rewind for apps like prime and Netflix as I saw it no where in the manual. I found Alexa to be more of a problem than it is worth to control the tv. Will be curious to see how it holds up but all in all I like it!

Good screen quality, lacking audio quality
17 July 2022

The TV was bought last year, so this review is coming after approximately a year of use, give or take a month or so.The video quality of the screen appears to be very good, although occasionally it can be a little bit on the dark side. It is currently in use with a 4K Fire Stick, an ageing Blu-Ray player that still miraculously works after almost ten years in use, and a Nintendo Switch. The real issue with this TV is the audio, and I've seen several other people online agree with this assessment. On our previous Samsung TV, we had multiple adjustment options in the settings that made it easy to get balanced volume and fine-tune things to your preferences. These mainly included things like Clear Voice or similar, and Night Mode (which was an ear-saver for me, as I am very sensitive to volume changes). This TV has NONE of these. On all three preset options, dialogue can be inaudible to almost completely silent, while special effects are blasted out so loudly that it's almost impossible to watch any film/movie or TV show without clutching the remote and hovering over the volume button the whole time. We have tried adjusting the equaliser settings over and over in different combinations, using Amplify, Auto Volume, Standard, Adaptive, and we have come to the conclusion that it is virtually impossible to get dialogue to be audible without everything else being far too loud. We are in the process of buying a non-Samsung soundbar or set of speakers because we no longer trust Samsung to give us effective control over our audio experience.I did contact Samsung about this, and they were unable to be of any assistance. They simply asked me to try all of the things that I had already tried already. If they would like to release firmware to add these features to the TV, I would be happy to receive them, but for now, I cannot recommend this TV to anyone who wants a good audio experience out of the box without already owning their own set of speakers.

Great picture but really annoying HDMI eARC issue
7 September 2021

Bought to replace an excellent 20 year old 32inchToshiba CRT TV that finally packed up and after endless research chose this Samsung 43inch QLED. Really pleased with the picture quality and the easily navigated settings options, within the Tizen operating system but getting very frustrated with connecting our existing Azatom SP1000 soundbar to improve the average sound quality from the internal speakers. If we connect the soundbar via Optical or Bluetooth it selects this when turning on the TV but we have to then turn on the soundbar separately and sellect the input. As the TV has eARC on HDMI connector 2, we want to use that method, so the tv turns on and off the soundbar at the same time (as it does perfectly with our 37inch LED Toshiba in the bedroom). However, ... MoreBought to replace an excellent 20 year old 32inchToshiba CRT TV that finally packed up and after endless research chose this Samsung 43inch QLED. As the TV has eARC on HDMI connector 2, we want to use that method, so the tv turns on and off the soundbar at the same time (as it does perfectly with our 37inch LED Toshiba in the bedroom). However, whatever I try, to get it to do that consistantly, if fails to hold the connection, sometimes recognising the HDMI connection and other times not even finding it and if it does it doesn't always pass the audio to the soundbar and just runs it to the internal speakers. After a short while it loses the HDMI eARC option in the 'Sound' settings and won't put it back in so you can't re-try to connect the soundbar.I have changed the HDMI cable for three others and it now has a "high speed HDMI with internet" expensive cable and it still won't operate as wanted.Downloading Samsungs "How to use HDMI ARC on Samsung Smart TV" instructions hasn't solved the problem, despite following the information contained within to a letter. The fact that Samsung have had to publish such an article and reading other complaints on-line about similar issues, even with Samsungs own soundbars, tells me I am doing nothing wrong and there is clearly an issue with the software of the operating system. Therefore a good TV is reduced from a five star 'Excellent' rating until Samsung sort this issue out and give me the full package of options I have paid for.I somehow doubt that is going to happen and therefore would not recommend a Samsung TV to a friend until such time as it works properly.

I expected more from a Samsung TV
16 July 2022

This is the first Samsung TV I have had and must admit to being a bit disappointed. The TV images are pretty good when you have spent some time setting it up, but the viewing angle needs to be fairly straight to avoid it looking washed out.The sound though really isn't good and is not a patch on my 12 year old Panasonic. It sounds very tinny and will need a soundbar (which I didn't really want) and will be a least another £100, so factor that in to any pricing/buying decision. It was easy to set up and, once opted out of all the spyware/targeted ads ts&cs, picked up channels, PVR & Blu-ray player without issue. Had I gone for the entry-level model I could have understood the limitations, but this was 50% more expensive. Maybe you are just paying more for the name.Needless to say the service from Richer Sounds was great and delivery was very quick.

In addition, voice control is disconcerting in my opinion because that talking to oneself interned one in a local loony bin! therefore I'm skittish & skeezed about going there! as for the rationale towards saving the planet, i've been doing that since 2020 when I got tired of going thru conventional Eveready Lithium cells every two weeks by investing my cash in a cache of Nickel Hydride AA & AAA batteries, the most advanced, Panasonic Enerloops can be charged/discharged 2,000 times & just in case devices are the el exigente type requiring only 1.5v or bupkis, I also have rechargable Lithium AA & AAA in my stash as well! then there fact that this set is devoid of buttons to countermand the remote manually incase there are issues causing the owner/operator to correct it! About the only good thing going for this remote is that it seems to be fabbed from aluminum vs. plastic! which is precisely the reason why I docked the panel 1. star which is why I'm shopping around for the BN59-1315J which ran these TV before the concept on a voice remote was a gleaming lighbulb deep inside the brain trusts of the ergonomic engineers. the remote control kerfuffle withstanding is not a deal slayer. because I'd still break the bank anew because this display is all that was ballyhooed to be!

As you can probably imagine, it can be a real nightmare trying to find mounts compatible with existing screw holes and TVs with dimensions that don't interfere with other functions of the truck. Furthermore, you can also imagine what a beating everything in a truck takes with every pothole and uneven slab of pavement. And even that's not all; when you're at home for a few days a month with the truck completely shut down, the interior of the truck can reach 0°F in winter and 120°F in summer.I am proud to report that this Q32NQ60A has handled every disadvantage that usage in a truck throws at it like a champ. The beating from the road, the ridiculous storage temperatures, the need to stay out of the way of raising the lower bunk to access that storage area -- this TV takes the punishment and comes out with flying colors.I'll quickly speak about the space I found to put it in. I had a mount in a previous truck that allowed me to keep the TV in an open space between upper and lower cabinetry. I couldn't install a mount in that location in my current Freightliner Cascadia, but I got it to mount in such a way that it now sits almost flush with the passenger-side sleeper-cab side wall. I use a couple of cardboard boxes for gaming devices to support the TV from below when driving, which I'm sure has helped the longevity of both the TV and the mount. Even so, though, the 15-lb. combined weight of the TV and mount is still pretty easy on the trim piece screw holes. Also, this TV works quite well with the programming options available in a truck. I bought one of those flat plastic sheet antenna devices and mounted it between the headliner and the roof of the cab, and ran coaxial cable down from that to the TV, allowing me to pick up any broadcast stations within about 40 miles. For places a little farther afield, where the broadcast stations may be 80-100 miles away, I use YouTube TV fed through an unlimited mobile hotspot feature of my T-Mobile smartphone service. Gaming and PC use are as easy as hooking up to an HDMI input.Overall, while there may be better TVs out there for the price, the Samsung Q32NQ60A is extremely hard to beat for its combination of truck-friendly size, its versatility, and its durability in quite possibly the world's worst environment for electronic devices.
