The picture is incredible and all the colors look incredible, even on regular 1080p content the Q7F is able to upscale the picture to near 4K quality. Gaming is fantastic with no blur or ghosting and 4K discs look unreal with HDR turned on. Sports looks clean and clear no trailing. This thing leaves my 2 year old 60" Samsung TV in the dust.Once you try the Samsung QLED Q7F you wont be able to watch TV on anything else again. My only problem with the TV is that I wish it was bigger, but that just me wanting to see this thing in 65" or 75". Samsung you have spoiled me, you've created the pinnacle of what all 4K Smart TVs will strive to be for years to come.

Best TV for 2017-2018 season
28 December 2017

This TV has been the best TV ive owned and the best one I think that is out there today though the price maybe a little on the pricey side compared to a 65 inch TVs from different brands but you definitely get your money's worth and I truly believe it's completely worth it. Cuz I normally don't spend that amount of money on tla TV but after many trials and experience with other TVs around the same 2017 models I've come to the conclusion this what is the best that you could get and I normally hold onto my TV for a very long time so I highly recommend if you looking for TV 65 in this is one of the best ones you'll ever get. Its very slim which is a nice designed by Samsung and one of the best things is that all the wires are connected to one box so it's hidden and is not dangling all over the place it looks nice and neat when you have it set up. It also allows me to connect all my devices like my PlayStation 4 my, Bluetooth wireless speakers, my Soundbar, my beats wireless headphones and everything connects. And you can collect all your streaming devices like Netflix and Hulu all onto the TV which makes it easy to access. also one thing I forgot to mention the speakers on the TV does have a very good sound but I would recommend a Soundbar it makes it so much more better . And avideo quality is amazing, and the Samsung remote gives you access to everything and its very simple, it's slick and I love the voice recognition option on it. One simple thing that I love that Samsung did with this model is the TV stand they made a central stand so you don't have to be concerned about having a long entertainment center to hold the legs. Also the way the TV's design you get a load of screen visibility in terms of the outside frame of the screen is not thick is very thin which is a nice feature cuz you get to see like all the TV display. Can't think of anything else that I might be forgetting but overall I give this TV a 10 out of 10 and I definitely be having it for many many years to come cuz I am not want to upgrade my TV every several years that's why the long run I look at it as a great investment. I hope this review helps anybody who may be considering buying the TV and believe me you won't regret it

EDID Negotiation Problems
25 February 2019

This TV, and apparently all of their TVs that use the one connect box, has major problems with EDID negotiation, making it difficult to properly use the TV with an A/V receiver. It hasn't worked properly since day one. For example, when I press the menu button on the receiver remote, the receiver and TV begin EDID negotiation so that the receiver can display its on-screen menu on the TV. While it does this, the screen goes black, and it takes about seven seconds. The menu, which is normally translucent so you can still see the video, finally comes up, but it is not translucent. Then, when you have finished changing settings and you exit the menu, it takes yet another 7 seconds of a black screen before going back to what you were watching. Then, when you have finished changing settings and you exit the menu, it takes yet another 7 seconds of a black screen before going back to what you were watching. This wouldn't be much of a problem since I could pause the video, except many of these settings require your video to continue playing in order to make changes (for example, changing individual speaker channel levels or audio delay). Now, the picture is beautiful. I have no complaints there. But it is amazing to me that a device this expensive can't handle this negotiation properly. I've tested the same receiver with other TVs, including a cheap 1080p Samsung, and it works fine with those, instantly and with a transparent menu so you can still see the video. The receiver manufacturer tells me this is a known problem with Samsung's one connect boxes. Of course, now that I know what the actual problem is (I had been blaming it on the receiver), it is already out of warranty, and there is nothing I can do about it except drop a fair bit of money on an EDID management device that will save the TVs EDID information and reuse it.I will never purchase another Samsung TV. If you plan to use your TV with an AV receiver, I would look for another brand, or at least stay away from Samsung's high-end TVs that use the one connect box.

First few days
27 April 2017

I have had a few days now with the Samsung QLED and here are my initial thoughts and comments. I like the bundled stand, it is elegant and hefty, but like most others I have chosen to wall mount so it remains in the box. I am impressed with the thinness of the TV but find it to be thicker than my previous Samsung 1080P 3d thin bezel model. I do like the new smart box with the thin wire to help hide the giant bundle of wires that my wife always hates, however as always the power cord is too thick and not long enough. kudos for making it wall colored-ish this time.. It was easy enough to mount the wall brackets too, but I would like to see a company stick to a set of bolt and spacer dimensions for once so I don't have to find new bolts and spacers every time I change ... MoreI have had a few days now with the Samsung QLED and here are my initial thoughts and comments. The combined effect is beautiful when watching a 4k 10bit movie.I would have to say I have developed a huge affinity for the new remote. It doesn't have a track pad, or motion sensor, or pointer, but the new design is the best feeling remote I have ever felt. It is just right for weight and the rounded edges combined with it's small narrow size feels great in the hand. The way the seams are hidden by the nifty slide out function is well designed and it even has tiny eject buttons for the batteries so you don't have to pry on them when it is time to change them. I have previously had the voice command, but it never worked right and had to be disabled. While I find the new soft interface to be cumbersome for selecting and changing source in the software, the voice command works superbly for this function. The most impressive Samsung product integration feature has to be the way it detected my nearby Galaxy S7, and immediately prompted me to pair the phone to setup the Wifi based on my phones settings. It also asked for permission to download an app that allows the phone to act as a remote with remote viewing and audio in both directions to allow me to view the phone display on the TV or vice versa.I also connected it to my computer and the 4k resolution looks stunning with various media and games. It is worth noting that it also performs adequately as a 1080p display.I would definitely recommend it should the price come down.

Movie and Sports HEAVEN!!!
4 September 2017

I purchased this TV a few weeks ago and thought I would give it a try before I wrote a formal review on Samsung. After using the TV for a variety of shows, sports programs, and video games, I can hands down say that this is the best television I have every owned. I most recently had another 4K TV but wanted to upgrade to the Samsung QLED because of the amazing things I was hearing. The things I was hearing were not wrong…this TV is simply the best across all viewing experiences.I have primarily used the TV for sports and it handles the quick movement and color scheme changes like no TV I have ever owned. The 4K picture quality is so crisp on this TV, I literally feel like I am at the game and the refresh quality makes sure the fast action plays are like they are happening in my living room. For shows like Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, and House of Cards, the black scenes are better represented than being there. Shows with multiple dark moments are portrayed with amazing color and the backlights attribute to that.Beyond the picture quality, the amount of HDMI ports and Smart TV technology make it super easy to install and get going right away. The moment I plugged my XBOX One into the TV I could play and get connected. I couldn’t have imagined an easier way to hookup all my devices and have them actually work without having to change a ton of settings. This TV makes having multiple devices easy and allows me to use one remote versus multiple like I used to have to do.Lastly, the Smart Hub is awesome for using my Netflix account and other apps that allow me to rent movies. I honestly cannot see myself buying any other brand of television and it is all due to this particular QLED Samsung TV. I will be a loyal guest for future TV purchases and its all thanks to this amazing product.

Stunning Display, Easy Functionality
21 September 2017

I am already a big fan of Samsung, and the Samsung 55" Class Q7F QLED 4K TV has made me into even more of a loyal customer.I was very pleased with the ease of the setup. The connections box is attached to the TV screen itself only via a thin optic cable, which comes in a neat little cable holder. I initially was worried about its delicacy, but it has held up just fine. The cable attachment box itself looks like a small cable box. I really like the fact that it's not attached to the back of the TV screen, as I hate the sight of wires coming out of the back of the TV. This way, I place the box away from the actual TV, and the only visible wires from behind the TV screen are the nearly-translucent optic wire and the white power cable. It is very aesthetically pleasing. The functionality of the TV is so simple and easy, even if one considered oneself not so technically savvy. The set-up instructions were easy to follow. I was able to quickly connect my SONOS sound base and change the settings to make that the main sound output, rather than the TV itself (although I must admit, the sound from the TV itself is not bad at all). I then connected to WiFi and was able to quickly log into my various accounts. Since my previous TV was also a Samsung, I was already familiar with most of the functionalities of the system. The remote control is sleek and futuristic-looking, with an option for voice commands/controls, to navigate everything from the apps to the settings. The display on this TV is stunning. The pictures are clear and crisp, and the colors deep and true. It definitely makes for an amazing viewing experience, whether you're watching a fast-paced action movie or a nature show. A little adjusting on the colors to recommended settings I found online made the pictures all the more incredible.I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone who is looking for a 4K viewing experience.

Also there's no HDMI or USB connections on the tv itself, it all connects to a ONE connect box. A little about the ONE connect box, this is where you plug in your HDMI, USB drives, game consoles, modems anything that you want connected to your tv. After turning the tv on it asks for your language, and if you have a Samsung account to link to the tv. Then your done..Picture Quality: Let me just say it's the most amazing experience to watch anything on, First You have to know what QLED means, Quantum Dots they’re incredibly small inorganic particles that vary in size, with each size producing a different hue to turn light into perfect expressions of color. And color and more color so much color it's in the billions, with that much color it makes anything you play so clear and vibrant. The Black level is phenomenal, let's just say any show looks 3-D, that's how good it is, like my family said it's like the tv is a holographic projector. Also the black level has a lot to do with light absorption in a bright room, we have a bright living room, and even with the lights on all the way, (spot lights on a dimmer) there was no glare or blind spots that we noticed. My son is a gamer, playing on various different game systems he hasn't experienced any lag and the games really comes to life. The refresh rate is great for the most demanding games out there.Design: The QLED is thin, and very modern and clean looking in any setting, with the brushed chrome on the rear to chrome on the stand the QLED stands out in any room.Sound: The speaker's are clear and not distorted at loud volumes while watching a blockbuster hit..I added a pair of Samsung J5500's sound towers and they look and sound great.Curve Design: The curve display is a great feature, we have had no viewing problems, from various angles, no loss of color or blurring. The picture is as clear as if you were sitting in front of it. Plus all my friends and family can watch a game with no problems, a plus for any sports fan.Remote Control: So much in a small package, The Stainless steel remote is very modern and clean, very easy to use once you get use to it, the voice function is very functional, for switching from one program to another one, or changing applications like going from Netflix to Amazon, just push the voice command and ask for what you want.Apps: There are lots of Apps for music or television like Hulu, Amazon etc. If you love music there's Spotify, Amazon music, Tune in, and lots of others to choose from. Just download your favorite app and there you go. The QLED even has a web browser, if you use it I would recommend getting a wireless keyboard, and it does work great, same or better at loading pages as my laptop or tablet.Security: If your worried about internet security, Samsung has you covered there are various services for security on the QLED.My Final Impression: Would I recommend this QLED to friends or even family, the answer is yes, Samsung has gone beyond anyone with this tv, from the design to the easy-to-use remote and functions, There will be years of enjoyment.Samsung QLED is a experience no one will forget. We love this television. To the Moon and BEYOND title says it all, with this QLED, Samsung has went beyond anyone else.

I received this television about a month ago to test its features and boy was I impressed! At first glance, I was in awe of the TV's beautiful and sleek design. the screen is barely thicker than an iPhone screen and hangs nearly flush with the wall. For those who plan to use the TV stand rather than wall mount, you will be happy to know that the TV features a stunning 360 design for a visually stunning presence from front to back and comes with a beautiful sturdy stand with a slot to hide the wires coming from the back of the television. The back display is almost wireless all but for two wires as all connections are made through an external box called the one box- a genius and convenient feature. The picture on the QLED Television is extremely vivid, I'm talking ... MoreI received this television about a month ago to test its features and boy was I impressed! The back display is almost wireless all but for two wires as all connections are made through an external box called the one box- a genius and convenient feature. The picture on the QLED Television is extremely vivid, I'm talking some of the brightest colors you have ever seen and best contrast/ black level I've seen on screen. In comparison to our old Sony television, you simply see more of the picture: every detail and shade of light and color are brought to life. Even in extreme action shots, the fluid motion of the picture is spectacular, there is no picture lagging or blurring whatsoever. Perhaps the best thing I noticed was how the screen absorbed light, our living room receives a lot of natural light which can make watching TV during the day difficult, but with the Samsung QLED TV there was NO glare, just a crystal clear picture no matter the brightness of the room. What I really enjoyed were the smart features of the TV. It automatically detects any device connected to it and comes with an external device (The One Connect box) to attach consoles to so you're not fiddling around behind the TV (so convenient when you wall mount it like we did). You can connect your smart devices to the TV and even use your phone as a remote to control the smart hub. The functionality of the Samsung QLED TV is superb and instant- no glitching or delays while switching from different apps in the smart hub back to our cable box, and navigating the TV is very easy which is nice for tech novices.Between the sleek design, amazing picture, crisp color, and incredible smart features I would highly recommend this TV to tech novices, gamers, movie buffs, or electronic gurus. Worth every penny. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Powered by Quantum Dots, Samsung QLED 4K UHD TVs are designed to draw you into a world of colour, clarity, and contrast. The thin layer of Quantum technology in the screen gives you a range of colours usually reserved for the cinema. Couple that with High Dynamic Range, giving colours improved vibrancy at higher brightness levels, and you get a picture quality that’s truly immersive. A standard TV throws light out directly in front of it, whereas QLED TVs are designed to throw light off in every direction to give better viewing from every angle – kind of like refraction from a diamond. This means that wherever you are in the room you’ll get the same picture with no loss in quality or brightness. This is especially important for movie nights, watching sport or whenever there are lots of viewers watching a single screen. Pair it with a Samsung soundbar designed to wirelessly connect to your TV and you’ll have a proper entertainment center in your living room.
