If you’re spending today reading refrigerator water filter reviews, you might be in the same boat I’m in. Bored out of my skull, looking for something, anything to break out of this rut.Currently I’m laid up with a bout of Polymyalgia Rheumatica brought on by a Covid booster shot I had a month ago. It’s been a bit of a drag to say the least.Time to take action? I say YES! My suggestion is to just bust out of this pop stand and hit the road to Vegas. In my nearly 70 years, I’ve concluded that there’s no situation out there that can’t be vastly improved with a 99 cent shrimp cocktail accompanied by a hot Blackjack table. Nothing good has ever been accomplished by sitting around reading water filter reviews. Let’s go!

I bought this product over 3 months ago. I bought some strips to test the water in the house for hardness. Even with this filter in the refrigerator the water from the refrigerator still says it’s just as hard as the water coming directly out of the sink. So it’s not a good product for me. I need a water filter that helps with the chemicals in the water plus how hard my water is.

These filters never top tasting bad. I bought a box of 3 and threw the other 2 out. We have followed the instructions and we have run countless gallons of water through the filter and it still tastes horrible. Don't waste your money. Nice thing is our model refrigerator can operate without the filter. I purchased an 'in-line' filter to filter the water before it gets to the refrigerator.

So much for only buying original Samsung filters. As soon as I installed this latest shipment of filters, water started leaking all over the inside of my refrigerator. I've tried another filter from the same pack, removing and re-inserting, but it just keeps leaking. Trying to contact customer service is a complete non-starter, both the phone line and the text line are not functional at all. The phone line leaves you on hold forever, and when I try to text instead it just sends me to a survey. This is a huge hassle and is making me regret ever buying Samsung appliances in the first place!
I have a model RFG298HDRS Samsung refrigerator built in 2012. The fridge has been great and still works except for one small issue: new HAF-CIN water filters do not work. In fact, Samsung doesn't even list this model on the filter finder page, almost as if they didn't expect their product to last more than 10 years.I've been purchasing genuine Samsung water filters for the life of the fridge, and the last ones I bought won't work at all. The water can barely make it through the filter due to a design change. When I remove the filter, the dispenser works fine. Samsung seems to have value engineered themselves right out of a repeat customer when the time comes when I really need to replace this refrigerator.
This product is essentially a lie. The packaging provides no information on what exactly is being filtered by the over priced bloated manufacturer. On this day of 8 September 2023, I’ve had a water test performed by professionals from the water filtration industry. The quality scale is 0 to 10, 10 being the worst. The water from my tap returns a 10 horrid. The water from my brand new Samsung refrigerator using the same tap water WITH this filter ranks a 9.I think Samsung and the manufacturer of this filter need to explain what this filter is doing and why it must exist. The price does not reflect the expected quality. For what it does do, SAMSUNG needs to refund the customers money.

I recommend you buy your replacement filters from a different place. I bough a refrigerator a few months ago and during my checkout I decided to add a water filter replacement (the one recommended by Samsung) so I wouldn't have to worry in the future. A few days ago it was finally time to replace my filter, I opened the box of the new one I bough months ago and realized they sent me the wrong kind for my fridge. I called customer service, they had me in line for 30min, spoke to 4 different people and nothing was solved.
I am very disappointed with Samsung, the hub on the refrigerator recommended this filter, but when ordered and received it. It was the wrong filter, the filter didn't fit. When I called Samsung they refused to give me a new filter for exchange or a refund for the correct filter. This is my first time ordering on the hub. They were very misleading and dishonest and customer service was terrible. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM. My entire kitchen alliance is all Samsung and I'm very shaken up to be treated with such disrespect and unfairness.

I called Samsung, an agent helped me get some credit towards buying the "correct" ones and they made a cart for me. I checked out paying the additional cost of getting the new "correct" filters. Received yesterday and they are still the wrong ones! I have spent over an hour on the phone trying to get this corrected.
