I bought this projector with the deal of crystal screen included.The projector itself has a weird juddering ghosting of fast panning images. Also I recently added a 4K disc player to view movies. The internal speakers can’t seem to handle the audio information from the 4K discs and the sound cuts out when there is gunfire or Explosions, even if the volume is set low on the projector. I even purchased a New 4K player thinking that this was the issue, no it’s the projector. We were skeptical about how the image would be during daytime. Where we stay, JB Hifi doesn't have it for demo. So I guess, they don't promote it much. I googled around and learned that a white screen is in fact not recommended if you have ambient light in your viewing area. There are curves, since it'd be a plaster board wall on a wooden frame (which is how they make houses here). So despite adjusting the image, you'll still see that horizontal lines will curve one way or the other. You'll just have to live with that - or buy a dedicated screen that cost upwards of $2000 for 120" or so.3. The remote could have been better - no dedicated buttons, no backlight and there's plenty of lags - 2 or 3 seconds. So sometimes you press keys and end up selecting the wrong menu.4. Not all latest codecs get supported. So if you cannot play the movie that's on your USB stick, try connecting it via a dedicated media player that supports it.5. Try going for a lower TV stand (around 300mm high) for a bigger picture. Most TV stands are at least 450mm tall. So if you can't find any, think of a coffee table. Lower the better. If you can keep it on the floor - nothing like it. But then the wires and cables get exposed.Now some good points on why we love it:1. We got it at a discount. So good value for money over spending a little less and going for an 85" Sony.2. You switch it off - you reclaim the wall. Can't do that with a TV!3. If you have used a Samsung TV, you will hit the ground running. Everything feels the same.4. Definitely worth spending more money than the other lower Laser projector being offered by Samsung (SP-LSP7TFAXXY).5. There's no physical cover to the lens. So unless you cover it when not in use, (we use a white cloth), expect the lens pick up dust that you'd normally vacuum way on the floor. They should have given an automated cover like they do on point and shoot cameras.6. Ensure you can darken the room as much as you can for a better experience.7. You'll hear comments that it should have been black. We love it white. During night, when you look at the screen, you'll not notice it. And during daytime (and night) when its off, it'll just camouflage with your surroundings - we've had guests who didn't even realise its there! So yes, white it is!

Keeping the projector ~40cm from the wall will give a 120" image. 4K image quality is impressive, with sufficient brightness and accurate colour reproduction. Compared to my 75" QLED TV, the projector gives a huge and immersive viewing experience. Although the inbuilt speakers produce decent sound, you may need a good soundbar to match the large image format. Because the projector needs to sit much closer to the screen I had unbearable laser speckle. 4k & Full HD videos looked appalling. It looked likeIi was watching SDR content rather than 4k video. I tried everything over a couple of days to sort this issue as I was desperate for the projector to work. I read hours of forum post where the LS9PT is discussed as well as watching lots of youtube videos. It does seem that the LS9PT suffers from laser speckle or glittering in quite a big way according to other independent reviewers. I spent hours adjusting the image trying to tone down the speckling but to no avail. I did speak with Samsung tech support, but to be totally honest based on my previous experiences with Samsung support and their customer service I did not hold out much hope. Every time I had had to deal with Samsung customer care team they have proved to be abysmal - they never understand what you are saying to them and you just go round and round in circles. My experience this week was no different. I love Samsung products, they definitely make the nicest looking tech, but they seriously let their customers down with there customer care. I feel this massively damages their brand. I found the whole process of dealing with Samsung Customer Services extremely stressful and even distressing!I was left with little choice but to very regretfully return the LS9PT. It was actually devastated as i loved the projector, but there was no way i could cope with the extremely poor video output. I did consider just accepting the laser speckle as i really did love the projector, but at over £3k i just couldn't justify it. I am not sure if this is a problem with how the triple laser works or if it is just due to the fact the projector has to be so much closer to my screen, causing huge light reflection and hotspots. Bizarrely there are absolutely no settings to turn down the brightness on this projector!! On my Optoma everything is fully adjustable including the brightness. I honestly think that if Samsung introduced a firmware update to reduce the brightness then this may have solved the appalling laser speckle/glittering effect.Positives from this projector are, looks amazing, fantastic Tizen UI - much much better than Optoma. All the VOD apps you could ever want in the UK. Built in DVB tuner (amazing!). Fantastic eye popping colour.Negatives are, no brightness control, no USB DVR facilities for recording live tv. Massive amount of Laser Speckle/Glittering which makes the image look like 30yr old SD content!I truly am so upset that i am forced to return the LS9PT. I wanted to love it so much. I don't want to put anyone off of purchasing this device, however if they don't sort out the laser speckle then you may find yourself in the same situation that i was in. Gutted isn't the word!Final word - Samsung PLEASE sort out your customer care!!! It is beyond awful, so much so that it puts me off of buying your brand!! Train them, reading from a script is just frustrating to your loyal customers who love your products!
I bought my Samsung projector TV a year ago. Its the best investment I ever made. I was renovating the house at the time and made sure the wall was as smooth as I could get it. That being said it's an old house with minor imperfections on the wall but the picture is just awesome. Now that I have this I will never go back to a 'normal' TV. The picture is massive. I bought a Samsung soundbar to go with it and it definitely improves the sound quality. The original sound was ok e.g. my Dad whose 83 can't tell the difference from the TV and the soundbar, but there's a definite improvement with soundbar.One night I drove up to the house and parked the car on the street and looked in our picture window. MoreI had a chance to try this projector for month.One of my friends lent it to me while he was away!First of all whoever think getting a projector is not a good idea over any kind of TV because of the image quality,is very wrong.The LSP9T easily matching the 2019 QLEDs in any aspect of quality for images,motion etc. even performing better and it gives a huuuuuge image on your screen,yes screen you will want one.Samsung says these could work on white walls very well,I dont really agree with that one.So the picture while watching Sky TV,Netflix,PC,XBOX is just from an other universe,though you will need a half dark room at least.I wish Samsung would concentrate to cut it’s short throw projector’s RRP because this is the future of home cinema experience not the TV!Samsung is way better manufacturing in this segment than the TVs where,well LG and Sony are just on another level with their OLED range!Have some negatives though: the operating system could do a redesign,maybe they should allow a double booting option for android TV access.Also for this price you would expect a screen to come with and at least a 5/6 years of warranty.I really wish they just give up making TVs and concentrate only short throw projectors.I think if Samsung could produce a product like the LSP9T for less than £2K,that would be the best selling product Samsung might have ever done.So I enjoyed my short time with this projector,but for now that was it.Buying this product is a no brainer if you can afford it,many of us just cant :(((
I bought this item about 10 months ago when it first came out. I was actually told I was the 1st owner in Melbourne Australia to purchase such product, thats because of its hefty price compared to other short throw projectors!But my gosh this projector is worth every cent! I have seen and used many projectors and nothing comes anywhere close. 1stly the brightness, depth rich clour and clarity the tripple laser brings is OMG!! even in broad daylight I can still see so clearly and its proper native 4K resolution too, many others are upscale 4K, big big difference.The quietness as well is very important to me, I can't hear anything unlike other projectors with their loud fans! it never heats up and stays cool including the bulb, which is important for a long life ... And the sound quality for its stock stereo speakers is suprisingly not to shabby! Very clear with some decent low end. But I suggest pairing it with a Samsung surround sound system for the ultimate experience. I dont go to the cinemas anymore...All in all, this product is truely amazing in every way! Its the lamborghini of short throw projectors and I am still not able to find 1 little fault! I've not had 1 single problem since purchasing this product. I clap my hands and tip my hat of to Samsung. Well done....
I ordered the triple laser model from Samsung.com & then applied for the free fixed projection screen thinking it would be a straight forward process as I purchased from Samsung directly.2 weeks on the projector is still in the box as Samsung Promotions continue to request further information to verify my purchase.I sent screen shots of the payment from PayPal, the delivery note to my address , a photo of the serial number on the projector & the invoice to receive the free 133” screen.Once I sent the information I received an email stating it could take 7 working days to process my claim.7 days later I receive an email stating that I had to send the original VAT invoice and not the screen shot to validate my claim. I sent the invoice off & have now been ... Mines sat in a box with an 85” TV sat on it!.
