I'm very disappointed with this tablet. I "upgraded" from a working Samsung Tab A 10.1 (2016). Frankly it's a downgrade. The most important thing on a tablet is the quality of the screen. The A7 colours look completely washed out. Secondly the screen looked instantly dirty from unboxing. I don't know whether this is dirty screen effect or if it's a fingerprint magnet. Thirdly, and this was the biggest shock, the screen on my old Tab A 10.1 (2016) gets much brighter - approximately 100% brighter. I can't read the A7 in bright sunlight like I can my old Tab A 10.1 (2016). The screen on my old Tab A 10.1 (2016) is better in every respect - it's far more colour accurate, it gets much brighter, it doesn't look dirty. The sound on the A7 is mediocre even with Dolby Atmos ... MoreI'm very disappointed with this tablet. I "upgraded" from a working Samsung Tab A 10.1 (2016). Frankly it's a downgrade. In fact when I checked Device Maintenance on both tablets the A7 has less available RAM. In short - do not buy the A7 to replace a working Tab A 10.1 (2016). You will be disappointed.

Hard to describe how much I dislike this tablet. I was convinced to trade my wonderful SM-T580 10.1" Tab A6 (2016) for this. Got a great deal until you factoring ALL the downgraded qualities of this vs. my A6. For whatever reason I have found it impossible to get files to save to the micro SD card, so I get constant reminders that my memory (onboard) is nearly full. And the worst thing by far is the battery life. I have to charge it every day if I used it for an hour or hour and a half. I've reached out to Samsung on it and they point you to the users forum where you can reach how great Samsung products are but get NO help. Oh, how I wish I had not made this trade. My old tablet had half the onboard memory with no problems and gave 3-4 days of battery life. I have ... MoreHard to describe how much I dislike this tablet. Samsung may not realize it but this does keep me from buying other Samsung products. Or I just shop by price and forget any kind of loyalty to Samsung.

I bought this tablet specifically because it was advertised as being able to increase internal storage via SD Card. We just reached our 32gb limit of internal space and purchased an SD Card. Turns out you can only store photos etc on the SD Card. I already pay for cloud storage for those things so the SD card was a waste of money. Our 32gb internal storage was used up really quickly with apps/games for both my son and I. None of which can be stored on the SD Card so now we have a tablet that wont hold all the apps/software we need and I'm not sure what to do. I'm constantly having to delete apps so that I can download the one I need, then deleting that app after using it so I can download the app I deleted in order to use that.I looked over the advertising again ... The tablet even has the option to move apps to the SD Card, but when I do that it doesn't change the storage totals and never actually appears on the storage list for the SD Card, it is still listed under internal storage but with a note that its on the SD Card.I'm furious that I spent hundreds of dollars on a device that doesn't do what I need it to.So if you are considering this product because of the additional storage capability, make sure you take stock of exactly what type of storage you need and whether it can be stored on the SD Card. If not you will need to purchase one with larger internal storage.

Every year for the past 5 years I have purchased myself, my father and my mother the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab A model tablet as they are competitively priced and great quality devices. Samsung have always been a brand I have put my trust in. This year like usual I purchased three Samsung Galaxy Tab A7's for us all for Christmas. I wrapped my mother's and father's up for Christmas day and decided to open mine last night. I've never been so disappointed opening and using a Samsung product in my life. The screen is absolutely appalling on this model. It reminds me of the very first Amazon Kindle 7" tablets. The screen is absolutely appalling on this model. It reminds me of the very first Amazon Kindle 7" tablets. The brightness is rediculously weak, the viewing angles are rubbish and there's this really weird prominent blue tinge to the colour that you get with really inferior poor quality panels. Unless you are right Infront of the screen you might as well not bother. Can't really tell you about the performance as all three of these will be going straight back to where I bought them from and I think it's time that I started looking at other tablets from other manufacturers now.The one thing on a tablet that should stand out is the screen. After all, this is going to be what you're going to be looking at all day over so if the screens rubbish you might aswell be holding a brick. Can't comment on performance as I couldn't be bothered using it with such a poor display. Compared it to my previous generation 2019 Tab A and I would say the display on the previous generation is twice as good as this.I've been a loyal Samsung customer now for many years but it seems as though Samsung have given up caring about its customers needs and instead would rather take shortcuts and use cheap low quality panels in their Tab A range to keep costs down. I've had a look online and there is so much competition now in this price bracket that I think it's time I went with a brand that doesn't cut corners like this.So disappointed in Samsung that they think they can get away with producing such a shoddy machine. Please DO NOT BUY This model, the screen is absolute garbage!
I bought this tab as a cheaper alternative for my aging 2013 iPad. I use it mainly to play "Tapped Out", use social networking apps, use travel apps while traveling and maybe reading some times. I do not use it to watch shows or movies, as I prefer TV. I do not use phone or tablet to take pictures when traveling, so camera resolution feature unimportant to me.Pros of this tablet- Sufficient speed for non memory-intensive games and general surfing and social media apps- Face recognition for unlocking works most of the time- Has expandable memory. I am using this tablet as my music streaming device by moving all my mp3s on the memory card.- Battery life is satisfactory - definitely not as long lasting as iPadCons of the tablet- The biggest problem with ... I am using this tablet as my music streaming device by moving all my mp3s on the memory card.- Battery life is satisfactory - definitely not as long lasting as iPadCons of the tablet- The biggest problem with this tablet is even though it uses Android OS, it still operates in its own Samsung environment. It won't tether to my Pixel phone or to my Windows 10 laptop/computer. Unlike a seamless experience MacOS environment over iPhone/iPad/Mac, this tablet operates in a standalone environment. I cannot receive phone calls or text messages over this tablet- Even funnier, it won't talk to Samsung TV, I had to install the SmartThings app for my Smart TV on my Pixel, as this app cannot be installed ont he tablet.- Using Chromecast with this tablet is a big hassle. Unlike Pixel, this tablet cannot directly connect with Chromecast. You have to use the Google Home app or the feature within the app to use Chromecast- Photo app is a joke. You can only stream photos over chromecast after displaying a picture, but the slideshow feature will only work in the main menu of photo app. Worse, you cannot adjust the speed at which image will change.TL'DR - It is a decent tablet if on sale, but go for an iPad if you can afford one. If you have an Android phone, this tablet is definitely not a companion for your phone.
I've got the 32 gb tablet. It's been a great device better than the iPad. However you Can Not use the micro SDcard to put apps on, these use up the most space. I made the big mistake thinking I could do this at the moment I have to remove apps I use to make room for updates that take up storage space. I even reset my tablet thinking that it would just install the latest updates only to give me the used up storage. Sadly once again this didn't work. At this rate of up dates which you have to do so you can use the apps I'm going to have to continue to remove apps to the point where I won't have many at all seems a bit silly hey. Eventually all I'll be able to use the tablet for is internet use. The only thing I can do is buy another ATab with at least 100gb. It's a ... MoreI've got the 32 gb tablet. Like many other low budget Samsung devices you shouldn't have too high expertations, unless you don't wan't to get disapointed/ frustrated about all of the technical bugs etc. What's frustrating me too much is that this device have too many bugs/ errors in the script.Like that the device constantly have errors in the web browser ( such as constantly close down; will go back to startmenu- not register new accounts on other web sites)( Note in Firefox), will neither have same support for many online webservices like protonmail. This device is also incompatible with multitasking. So for an ex if I will look at a youtube or similar content in one window, and at the same time will do a google serach the device shuts down(pauses) the videoclip.I'm also frustrated ... So for an ex if I will look at a youtube or similar content in one window, and at the same time will do a google serach the device shuts down(pauses) the videoclip.I'm also frustrated about that my my device constantly ( a bug), wich explains why my web browser constantly shuts down. This is realated to if you choose multiple languages. For an ex if you choose other than the factory set in wich country you bough the devivce in. In my case if you choose English instead of Swedish this will occure. At the same time if you choose multiple languages the software will aut set up for the upcoming in the list.It also frustrates me that the device "flip function" is too sensitive. It can be enough for the sensor if I make a swipe gester over the screen. It's also frustrating that the device is useless in bright sunlight. Both that the screen gets completly black ( have turned the aut adaptive function off), but also that the screen is too shiny( too many reflections). But at the sametime if I'm inside in "normal roomtemperaturre" the screen works fine.Note that this is related to the newer models with Android 10 (2020)
I selected the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 WiFi based on positive experiences with Samsung phones and favourable customer reviews. I use it mainly to display my music repertoire during practices/performances (I am a musician). The long battery life and bright display are important factors for me. I haven't tried all of the apps that were downloaded during setup. The ones I use the most are third party, but they all work very well. Seems like a reliable performer that is durable and easy to use.
I had an S series tablet and switched to the A series as it is much cheaper. I've struggled for 2 years and am going back to the S series. The camera is mediocre. I take the same pic on my S21 phone and it shames this tablet. Colours are dull. But the absolute worst is the touch screen.I use my tablet in the evenings for games and to read new headlines. The touch screen is awful. The lack of sensitivity is beyond frustrating. I was used to a light tap being enough to select something but this one requires a firmly supported tablet and a fairly hard tap or multiple hard taps. This makes most stands useless and I have to hold in my hands or propped against my knees. Some nights I just don't feel like fighting with it just leave it idle. I will be purchasing an S ... I bought this tablet on 12/13/20. I had been very happy with it until just before Christmas, 2021. It started having trouble charging - I had to hold the cable just right in order for it to charge. It continued getting worse until now - it won't charge at all! Even with the charging cable plugged in, it continued losing power and now the battery is down to 0% and there's no way to get it to charge! I tried numerous cables and different chargers but nothing works. I've had this tablet just a little over a year and now it's totally useless! It's just out of warranty, I can't afford to get it fixed, and on my small fixed income I certainly can't afford to buy another one. Thanks for nothing, Samsung - I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am!!
