We've had our Samsung EcoBubble Series 5+ Auto Dose for a few weeks now and have seen a drastic change in our laundry habits, all in good ways! The Auto Dose draw that takes our detergent and softener when and as it needs has been a godsend; it's actually saved us quite a fair bit of money as we were using WAY more liquid and detergent than we needed, the benefit is that our clothes still come out smelling great AND we have saved money on products. This machine also pairs with our smartphone which at the time we were not fussed about, but we quickly found that it allows us to monitor energy consumption, which is a huge concern for us right now, so we have noticed when it's cheaper to run our machine and we have switched to washing at certain times of the day to be ... Wash times are great, we mostly use the Mixed Load option which is usually 1 hour 6 minutes which is just right for a full load. When we need to freshen up barely worn clothes we usually use the 15 minute Quick Wash and it does great. Ontop of that when we wash late at night to reduce energy consumption this machine also has a Silent Wash which again, is very quick and exactly what it says; Silent. All in all, we are very happy to have a decent, sturdy machine that's energy efficient to replace our old washer. Very happy with Samsung and the quality of this machine. We also realized that the motor now has a 20 YEAR warranty too! (It was previously 10 years) so again, another amazing little surprise. Along side that it's got a the free 5 year parts AND labour that we registered! Very happy customers.

Yes it does take 3 hrs to wash and dry which is quite normal when you consider most wash cycles are around an hr anyway and most dry cycles are over an hr too. So for me 3 hrs is quite reasonable to complete both. It has lots of great functions and is extremely easy to operate. Love the add wash feature for any little bits you forget The wifi feature is amazing in prescribing a wash cycle for you. And have to love the auto dosing feature which is fantastic as my hubby would always put the wrong detergent in the wrong compartment and completely overload it with detergent. Now there's no need to worry as I just fill it up weekly and it's good to go. So if your thinking about a washer/dryer just do it you will not regret it, my only regret is I didn't get it sooner

Decided to upgrade our laundry. The Samsung washer/dryer looked the bees knees so we took the plunge. This is a lovely machine. My wife and I are both in our sixties now and sometimes technology is a little stressful to understand and navigate, there was no need to worry though with this machine. It is beautifully simplistic in its layout with very nice materials used throughout. If you have plumbed in other machines then this is just as easy. Once you switch on the machine it walks you through the setup and the led screen is crisp and clear. The programmes on the machine are more than most will require and we love the Ai programme that adjusts the dosage of detergent, softener etc. and even weighs the garments being washed and adjusts the programme to suit. The machine is very quiet when running and we are really pleased with its performance. If we had to say anything negative about the machine it would be that perhaps the drain hose and cold water fill hose could have been another half meter longer which would have made the installation a little easier. Samsung products are generally very reliable and so we are looking forward to many years using this product. For comparison purposes we have a water softener installed which always helps with these kind of white goods and we have a really good broadband connection which makes connecting and staying connected very reliable. So far we really love this machine and highly recommend it.

To appreciate this particular model it requires more video on the uses it can offer, it can be quite challenging when one is use to old school ways. However one can appreciate it's value when trying it out. It feels like it it is an engineering marvel and it needs to be viewed as such so as the consumer can use it to its full potential. I have tried it out on some things over the past two days and found the automatic set-up quite hard to adjust to, as it can take a very long time to wash and dry on what should be a third of the time. The recipe for washing program is a very nice touch, including on the use of smart things app that helps to use it without bended knee going through the small screen to work out how to use it. The recipe for washing program is a very nice touch, including on the use of smart things app that helps to use it without bended knee going through the small screen to work out how to use it. I could only imagine that the longer I use it the more enjoyable it will be. Apparently it has an intuitive program as to decide in how to wash your wares pending on the size, the weight and how soiled they are, this is the reason why the cycles can take longer than expected as it is configured to give the best results on what the specialist have concluded from pryer results and customer needs. For me now I am planning to hold washing off until I have a decent load to make it worth the wait. The results of the washing is very good indeed, the wares come out very clean, fresh and dry, the machine is reasonably quiet and feels that it is of a high quality standard. Delivery of the item got to me in good and a great functioning tracking system, however that's when it stopped, the driver did not want to deliver past the door, which frustrated me as I'm 59, without a trolley or help, trying to manoeuvre this it that weighs over 80k took some doing, even unpacking it, the bottom of it had the mould foam up in the machine at least 10 inches, not knowing this took a lot to complete then try to move it into place. Samsung are great for there care of the customer when on the phone, but I'm sure they need to know that if delivery of there heavy goods are to be offered, I would suggest to offer help to bring it in and unwrap it with the aid of installing and a brief introduction of the particular item and make sure the customer is happy before they leave.
Pros: This machine washes slightly quicker than my old one and seems to clean more efficiently. I haven’t tried the bubble wash facility yet as normal wash programmes have done the job so far.Once you push the button to set the machine to go, it automatically calculates timings so while it starts off by telling you how long it would normally take, it can re-calculate, presumably by weight, and knock quite a few minutes off a wash time which saves on electricity. Some reviewers have said that they wished the machine could do a dry only programme. It does actually have 2 dry only programmes and I use these regularly. I tend to do all the washing on a weekly basis and use the wash and dry facilities separately rather than do a wash/dry programme so I can dry the ... I tend to do all the washing on a weekly basis and use the wash and dry facilities separately rather than do a wash/dry programme so I can dry the lighter weight stuff together which saves drying time. The machine replaced an eight year old washer and a 2 year old condenser dryer which leaked. Having one machine instead of two in a small kitchen has freed up extra space and I don’t have to empty a water tank or have a hose for the dryer. Once I registered the machine online for the warranty, I was given a 5 year parts and labour warranty free of charge instead of the normal one year which is a huge bonus. One thing about this machine is that while it is quieter than my old machines it plays a very loud tune at the end of the programme. My toddler grandson was very confused by this and came tearing through from the kitchen In a panic yelling ‘granny, there’s music in the kitchen!’ ?I found it very easy to work out the different programmes and the additional buttons to change the settings like spin speeds and drying programmes. Cons: If you buy this machine as a replacement you need to measure your space very carefully as it is very slightly wider at the top than my old washer so is very tight and sticks out as a result of not being able to be pushed back far enough. The wash/dry times seem very long but I do a separate wash and dry which saves time.If you put too many cotton clothes in to dry they come out very creased so you ironing time might increase but the rest come out fine. There is a safety feature with this machine which locks the door during drying programmes so you have to wait a while for it to cool down if you want to add anything else once you have started. It can be frustrating but this is better than being scalded by steam as you open the door as happened with my old dryer.
Who knew that the addition of a little door that you can open at any time during a wash cycle should you forget anything (socks, detergent etc...) would be so useful?? This machine is certainly well on its way to becoming a valued family appliance. Having upgraded from a different model, the Samsung seems so much more efficient already and certainly whisper quiet - so we can still hold a conversation in the middle of a spin cycle. The 'A' energy rating is especially of note. I will be keeping an eye on its energy usage over the next few weeks but have noticed already the savings on my electricity. Having it connected to 'Smarter Things' means I can pre load the machine the night before then select the wash cycle remotely; an added bonus. I'm looking forward to ... I'm looking forward to seeing how the machine can improve my laundry habits over the coming weeks to see if I can further reduce consumption and usage but at the moment I must admit I am quite enamoured with exploring the many functions it has. Yes, this is an older model but I am none the less impressed with the functionality of this product. Design features are quite basic but functional. I would say that the Anthracite version might look better owing to the rather large black door in the middle of a white machine (it does stand out!!). The screen is perfectly legible and easy to understand, and the scroll knob is distinct in its selection. The touch sensor buttons require you to press for a little longer than I'd have thought (the machine tells you to 'press for longer') but this is in no way detracts from its functionality and is something I will get used to. You'll definitely know when your washing has finished as the machine will play a polyphonic symphony on completion of a wash cycle. This stops as soon as you open the door. When the cycle is complete, the door lock instantly disengages. It's about time we moved away from the old '1 minute wait' at the end of a wash cycle. All in all, a very well conceptualised machine. Well done Samsung!!
I recently purchased a 9 kg ecobubble series 5 washing machine from Samsung. First impressions very well designed. Also very well built very sturdy, that's why Samsung's give you the 5-year warranty on their washing machines. This is a bonus getting a warranty with it for 5 years, you must remember that to register your machine online or by telephone. I have found that the machine is very easy to programme, with the selected programs on there as they are 14 programmes all together on the machine. You have got a quick wash 15 minutes. You've got fast wash 35 minutes. You've also got on there air cool wash, hot wash, woollen wash, delicate wash, intensive cold wash, hygiene wash this is very handy if you've got young children or you're in the health profession, as I ... You've also got on there rinse and spin, drain, and drum clean. I do think that is a brilliant idea when you've done 40 washes in the machine, it deletes and let you know no to put the drum clean cycle on. I do think full machine should have that now, as it will keep your machine fresh and clean and also save on repair bills. It's a very quiet machine when it is running, as I've tested it on the 14000 RPM. And there's no shaking there are very little noise at all that you know it's spinning at that speed. It's got a massive 9 kg drum on it, which is handy if you've got a lot of children or do a lot of washing. I also like it because it is a triple A+++ washing machine, so saving on the pounds for the electric as we all need to do now. So in general I think this an excellent machine from Samsung I do not know if they could put anything else on the machine as it's got everything that you need. Going to the showroom that sells washing machines and have a look I think you will be surprised how well built and the quality of this washing machine. I will recommend this washing machine to family, friends, and colleagues.
When our old washing machine conked out mid-wash, I went straight to the Which? website to check out their recommendations for a new one. As we already have a Samsung tumble drier, which is worth its weight in gold, I was really pleased to see they had several Samsung washing machines on their best buys list. I ordered on a Saturday evening, and delivery was booked for Monday. Thankfully, Samsung charge a fair price for delivery, which includes removal of old appliance and connection/installation of the new one (unlike some places who stack these charges one of top of the other). I've now had the machine for just under one week, and have run a variety of washes - cottons, towels, bedding - and everything comes out of the machine smelling so fresh and clean that it's ... I've now had the machine for just under one week, and have run a variety of washes - cottons, towels, bedding - and everything comes out of the machine smelling so fresh and clean that it's made me realise that my old machine was underperforming for quite some time before it gave up the ghost! My new Samsung machine managed to get grass stains out of a white school top without leaving even a hint of green behind. The machine itself runs quietly for the most part, with slight bursts of noise when more water is being pumped in. You can see how long each wash is going to take, and the tune played when a cycle has finished is a handy reminder (my old machine gave one quick beep, which was easy to miss). Overall, I am extremely happy with my new washing machine. The 5 year warranty is an added bonus, although hopefully I'll never have to use it!
I did so much research and decided on this model set for my budget, but regret it so much. Don’t know how it has so many good reviews, I should not have ignored the few bad ones - as this washer does not clean very well. I’ve tried smaller loads, lots of different types of powder and liquids and different cycles but clothes are still coming out smelly and stained. It also seems to be putting a lot of wear on clothes and towels, I seems to have more pulls and loose cottons. I wash my baby bibs on a regular cycle with a pre wash, and they are still coming out with small amounts of food on them and smelly. It says it’s an 8.5kg but the drum size is small, and it struggles to wash one super king sheet set. Don’t fall for the cool app feature - you have to reconnect ... It says it’s an 8.5kg but the drum size is small, and it struggles to wash one super king sheet set. Don’t fall for the cool app feature - you have to reconnect every time you open it which takes about 20secs, you might as well just walk down and look at the machine. The timing is also out. I have looked in the app and it said washing had 5minutes to go, and I could literally hear the finished jingle at the same time. Buy a machine that doesn’t have a digital display - it’s such a pain that it’s ‘intelligence’ reorders to frequently used cycles. I wash wool once a month and afterwards it goes to the front of the list and everything is reordered. Only feature I do like about this machine is the add to wash door BUT for some reason this randomly releases after a wash, when I reload and start, it comes up with a notice saying door is open, and I didn’t open it. Detergent tray also stays wet most of the time so you need to leave open like washer door. And the door hinges cannot be changed over like the dryer can. Overall, terrible washer that doesn’t wash well - just like the matching dryer that doesn’t dry well. My old top loader did a better job.
Received my washing machine over the weekend and tried to use it properly today, after setting it up yesterday. First thing I have discovered is that the cotton's and synthetics wash times don't seem correct. The cotton shows as 1hr27min wash for a max 11kg load and the synthetic wash is nearly 3hr for a max 4kg load?! I have spoken with product support and the person was just looking up info from the same manual that I had in front of me, so not much help. He did query with someone else, but again no definitive answers as to why the 11kg load is less than half the length of a 4kg load. I have never seen a short cotton wash on a machine before. They have always been over 2 hours and with the new eco machines nowadays, all I have read is that washes have become longer, so why so short on mine? I also queried the 40/60 wash. I wanted to know what temperature it actually washes at and was told 60degress, which again doesn't make sense. This means you can't put any clothes in that require 40degrees or lower, as they will shrink with the heat. I googled it to find that other people have been just as confused by what this wash is actually for and the answers given by Samsung and others have not made it any clearer. Some suggested it washes at a lower temperature as their smart meters did not move during it's use, so not heating the water much. I felt the door a few times during the wash and it reminded cool, but I don't know if I missed the heat of 60 degrees at some point. I am now waiting for a call back for someone to check my machine to make sure that it is not faulty. They were meant to call me today or tomorrow. In the meantime I am stuck with a machine that I can't really use properly, as I don't know if I am over, or under loading it, for the cycle that I used. Having to award 1 star until I find out the answers to my questions. It is a nice machine style wise though and quiet.
