I haven't really gotten a chance to use it, other then a few test shots around the house. Taking it camping this weekend to get some milky way and landscape shots so I'll know more after that. Rating it 5 stars for now because of the timely shipping and the feel of the lens, the focus is smooth, and the lens feels well built.

The lens has a plastic feeling build yet optical it's super sharp. Focus and aperture rings are smooth with the aperture having nice click stops. The lens is very light and the front lens cap attaches to the front of the lens hood. Photographing bright lights such as street lights produces nice starbursts. Manual focus is easy as a 10mm lens has so much DOF and there is an included focus scale on the lens.

I bought this lens mainly to take pictures of thhe starry sky, landscape astrophotos. It is a wide angle lens, wide enough to fit the Milky way, with foreground objects like buildings, monuments or nature formations like rocks. I found it easy to focus at the infinity. The only drawback of this lens is that it doesn't connect electronicaly to the camera so you dont have any exif data. I would warmly recomment this lens to amateur astrophotographers.

I bought this lens to use with my Nikon D7100 for milky way photography. The lens exceeded my expectations-- it was easy to use and the images were phenomenal-- a great angle of view and sharp detail. I could not be happier.
Absolutely beautiful lens. Well built & rugged. Sharp with very little distortion. Smooth focus feel and not as bulky as I thought it was going to be, which is great news so I can fit on my bag.
I wanted a wide angle lens to finish my lens line on the wide end. I wanted something pretty fast with good optics. This lens fit the bill.I was a little hesitant to get a strictly manual lens but I have had no issues using the manual features. Plus, my Panasonic G85 does some auto functions even with the full manual lens. The lens was longer and heavier than I expected. It's about the same length as my 100-300mm Lumix lens and a few ounces heavier. This has not been an issue since the f/2.8 handles low light pretty well even without a tripod. I really expected to see a significant fisheye distortion but was very pleasantly surprised at how little there is. This lens is already seeing use.
Love the lens. Great price , delivery ,communication . Everything was perfect. Thank you
This is an affordable, well-constructed lens, but edges and corners really let it down, and distortion is very high. Flare is more of a problem than youd expect, particularly if shooting into the light. Centre frame is very good, if some way short of superb. This is an extreme lens. Extreme lenses are difficult and expensive to engineer and, alas, the asking price for one of these is too low to expect top-flight optical engineering. If anyone could do it, Samyang could, but not this time. Id recommend the 16mm as a much, much better lens and probably about as wide as you should go if you arent prepared to spend 800+
Wonderful glass for a landscape survey. Good, strong and very light lens for very little money. He demonstrates minimum chromatic aberrations and very interesting colour picture. A virtual presence is felt on the lens of polarization filter. Possesses very moderate distortion in the class, that interesting in an artistic plan. Provides the remarkable working out in detail in the center of shot and good on periphery. Ideal combination of price and quality. Hand focusing pleasant feature, bonus for creative process lovers. There are universal options: aperture 11, distance is a 1 meter. And you are busy at only composition. I recommend!
I bought this lens for my Canon 7D2 APSC camera for doing astro work and landscape. This lens is so wide and fast at F2.8 and ideal to let as much light as possible. Pin sharp and hardly any soft edges. Im really please with the Samyang 10mm and at that price why wouldn't you. Delivery was tracked all the way and was package and delivered without any issues what so ever. Highly recommend this lens.
