Excellent construction and fit-super comfortable. I’ve worn this Gi 15-20 times now and it is holding up remarkably well. I’ve followed the care instructions for washing and drying and have noticed no change in the fit whatsoever. I’m 5’11”, 165 lbs-long and lean, and the A2 has worked as advertised. I will be coming to Sanabul as I continue my BJJ journey!

First time I've rebought a gi. I own 6 of various brands and this one is my favorite. I'm 5'7" 145-150 and I bought the A0; I previously owned the A1 and it was fine, but the A0 fits closer to the body without being constricting. It's super-lightweight, very breathable, and durable. I've owned my A1 for 6 years now and still roll in it. However, a big guy literally ripped the pants right off of me, so I had to replace those in year 3. I have a more expensive gi from another brand which I also like, but this one is just as good for different reasons, and about $100 less. I have cheaper gis and this one blows them out of the water. A great balance of quality and affordability.

I am 6'1" at 186lbs.Bought three 2A sized GIs which fit just fine (no heat shrinking required). Sizing is consistent for all three GIs. I Wash them cold and hang dry afterwards. The only downside is that the black GI is leaving me with a lot of lint on my skin after the training (not before). The other two GIs (different colors) don't do that... This I still notice after having it washed about 5 times by now.I recommend to buy these GIs for beginners because you do not break the bank when starting in GI sports. For that price you get a fairly good quality to start with. Again, if the lint thing with the black GI would not happening I would give these GIs a solid 5 star rating.

I bought 2 of these in K4, and 2 of the A0 for my 11 year old son who is 108lbs and just over 5’1”. Basically, my son lands right there in the center of youth and adult sizes. The K4 fit a little short in the legs, about an inch and a half above the ankles. The waist fit good and the top fit just right. The A0 adult size was perfect, however. The top may be teetering on the slightly oversized side but definitely not too big. Sanabul does not offer return labels, you have to ship your own which costs a lot of money these days for individuals. So I kept all of the uniforms. They are very well made, the material is very comfortable and they look really good.
I'm a woman who is 5' 5" and weighs 130lbs and this is the second Sanabul gi I've purchased. The first Sanabul gi I purchased was a size W2 and while the gi jacket fit fine, the gi pants are way too wide in the waist, hip, and legs. I ended up keeping the gi and just wearing the gi jacket with other brands of gi pants. I looked around at the guys who were wearing Sanabul gis at my BJJ school and realized that the men's sizes didn't have pants that looked like wide leg bell bottoms. I ordered another gi in size A0 and it fits me perfectly. The gi pants are 2" narrower in the men's sizes than in the women's sizes. So, if you're a slender woman with medium sized waist and hips you may find that Sanabul's gis in the men's sizes are a better fit.
I've trained 5x a week for the past 6-7 years in these gis. I hate doing laundry and these are super affordable so I just bought 10 of them so I can just wash them 2x a month in the Godzilla-sized front loading machine at my local laundromat. After 3,500 hours in these gi's here's what else I found out. These lightweight gi's are comfortable not like the battle heavy competition gis and they dry faster than the heavy ones. This is super important for daily use. Are you new to Jitsu? AIR DRY every time you roll don't just stick these wet into your laundry hamper!I am 6'2 and 190 +/- 5 pounds and wear a 42L in a suit and generally take a slim cut shirt from the Gap. The A3 fits me perfectly. The jacket body and arms are the right taper and the pants fit my 34-35 ... MoreI've trained 5x a week for the past 6-7 years in these gis. The A3 fits me perfectly. The jacket body and arms are the right taper and the pants fit my 34-35 waist just fine.As you would expect the blue and black colors fade beautifully like an old pair of Levi jeans and the whites while not as gorgeous still do their job. I actually mix the tops and bottoms up for no reason I can think of. Maybe I think it's a fashion statement?About the pants. They wear out faster than the jackets over the years but that's true of every gi out there. The difference with Sanabul is they were able to replace my bottoms. Trust me after wearing these for years you fall in love with your battle tested and destroyed uniform so this was a big deal for me. Thank you Sanabul.
I’m a big guy, 6ft tall, 275lbs. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to fit into a gi, but the A4 fits me almost too well. Basically no shrinking it. But as usual for me, the pants are quite long, I’m torso tall. But for the price, you literally can’t beat this gi. Comfortable fabric , fantastic quality, and it’s perfect for training. Will definitely be buying more, once I lose some weight haha!!
Range of motion is excellent without being excessively baggy. Very comfortable for summer training sessions, yet plenty strong. I would have no reservations about competing in tournaments wearing this gi. The collar is sturdy but not excessively stiff. I am 5'9", 175 pounds and A2 fits just about perfectly. I would LOVE it if the sleeves were just a touch shorter. I am hesitant to intentionally shrink the top in the dryer because I don't want it to get any "slimmer" through the torso, but I have a fairly square shaped upper body, so i think for most people this wouldn't be an issue. Overall, I am shocked that I got a gi this nice for less than 100 bucks. I will definitely be adding another to my rotation. Also, I wanted to mention that the total time it took from ... MoreRange of motion is excellent without being excessively baggy. Very comfortable for summer training sessions, yet plenty strong. bought another gi since I've been on the mats more frequently. I love the quality of the gi and how fast it ships. I get it before I even confirm the order essentially. lol The top fits well and is perfect for competition but I still struggle with the pants being too loose. I think it is a normal fit but I prefer kids sizes for pants. For reference, I'm 5 ft 3 in weighing 130lbs. I wish they have a long version for the small sizes or something like a slim fit.
for the price point the gi was very lightweight and appears to be high quality. Shipping was extremely fast. I initially really just loved the overall aesthetic of this kimono and pants. However...the fit is my issue; For reference I am a white belt who is 70 inches tall and 235 lbs. I am in no way shape or form an expert nor athlete. I work out 4 days a week as well as do jiu jitsu 4 days a week in addition to hiking , hunting etc. I am very broad shouldered and wide.I initially ordered an A3 V2 Essentials in OD green / brown contrast due to the fact Sanabul states their gis run large compared to most others in the market. The A3 was very tight in the arms as well as at the shoulders , in particular the armpit to armpit measurement. The A3 was very tight in the arms as well as at the shoulders , in particular the armpit to armpit measurement. The pants fit just fine as I am 36 inch waist. they were very comfortable with enough room in the legs that your knees were not getting bound up or that it was difficult to draw your legs in to your chest while on your back.I attempted to exchange the gi for the next size up but (A) their customer service was difficult at best to reach and (B) I was told they don't do exchanges that I had to purchase another size and then I could return the previous gi for a refund. I instead of ordering directly from the Sanabul the second time decided to order via Amazon to avoid the hassle of lack of customer service and return process. I received the A4 V2 Essentials in the same color options even faster than the first time. The gi was unfortunately still very tight in the arms and seemed to still have the same shoulder to shoulder / armpit to armpit size restriction as the A3. Furthermore, Now the pants and jacket were way too long for me despite my long gorilla arms and short gorilla like legs.Sadly i really was looking forward to using a Sanabul gi as I've heard great things about their gi's however for the thicc boi club they just don't work. If in the future they decide to start offering H or L sizes, I will check out reviews for them and possibly try their equipment again.to reiterate my only issue with the gi was the fit. I can not elaborate any further than that as i did not use it during class or open mats and was not able to reevaluate the fit after washing / drying . Hoping this review helps you bigger people out there decide on your purchase. Good Luck!
