Agree with HEAT if left in card reader

With my XQD card and reader, I could just leave the card sit in there, but I can't with this card.

This card is fast and it doubles the storage capacity of my previous XQD card. I also like the stiffer case used here. SD cards and the older CF cards had some flex to them which sometimes caused problems. I am very pleased with this card. It fits in an XQD card slotr but may not work with older readers. If you are using both XQD and CF Express cards with a reader, make sure the reader will handle both types of cards. A problem was reported by one user when attempting to read XQD cards in an off-brand reader which was supposed to read both types. In summary the increased storage and speed of the CF Express type B card is a welcome improvement and works well in compatible devices. It is well worth the money.

I know this review is for the CF Express cards. But, I’ve been a customer of B&H photo since I bought my first brick of Kodachrome 64 from them. So, when it was time to get to memory cards for my new to me Canon 1DX mark iii….. I knew where to go.The cards allow the camera to perform at an insane rate without buffering. I wanted the biggest cards I could get because I don’t want to have to switch cards if I fill one up at a game. I was at a high school volleyball game last week and shot 2038 images and almost filled up a card on my old camera. With this camera and these cards I will never come close to filling them up.Great cards, great customer service and I think I got them at a very reasonable price.

CompactFlash for Mirrorless
18 September 2024

This is the CF or Compact Flash Express card or CF Expess for the modern mirrorless digital camera. These replaced those used in DSLR cameras.I'm using these where the older Compact Flash cards used in full frame DSLR cameras would be accepted before SD cards became all the rage. If you switched to mirrorless and need speed, you must use a modern CFEXPRESS card not the old Compact Flash. This card works in my Z in conjunction with high speed SD for dual writing of images. This card has the speed and ability to work in conjunction with dual write cameras. You can't lose with this solution.

Getting the new standard
4 November 2023

I shoot mostly still photos of people and when I recently purchased a new camera, after reading that the Extreme Pro cards were gradually replacing my XQD cards, I picked up a new SanDisk 256GB card. The stats are impressive -- over 3 times faster than my Sony XQD'sI really doubt that I'll ever need it with still photography. However, if I decide to do some 8K video, I'll be ready. My only complaint: My first shoot using the Extreme PRO, I plugged it into the Sony reader on my Mac and.....Nothing! Please be aware that you need a card reader made for the Extreme PRO cards. I switched to direct download from the camera -- a nuisance. I now have a (generic) reader that handles both kinds of cards.Happy shooting.

So far, as good as my 1st one.

I bought this because I thought I lost my one-and-only other CFexpress card, (with about 3,000 vacation photos and a few hundred videos on it, thanks for asking). But then, after receiving this one, my prodigal card returned to me. Wheeew! It too, is a SanDisk Extreme Pro CFexpress card and has never failed me. So, in spite of so little time using this new one, I'm going ahead and giving this one 5 stars based on my old one.My old one, BTW, is only 128GB. In a camera pumping out 45MB RAW photos, it lasted a full week in New Zealand and almost all of our first full day in Australia. Now, with 4X that much memory in this new card, my camera will probably NEVER have to switch over to its second, back-up card slot! But then, that's a separate concern: If this new, ... MoreI bought this because I thought I lost my one-and-only other CFexpress card, (with about 3,000 vacation photos and a few hundred videos on it, thanks for asking). So, with the recent drop in price for these, I will probably invest in several more smaller, 128MB cards. I'll stick with this same brand, of course.
