128GB SanDisk Dual Drive - BEWARE!

Is this a scam...? I can barely write files to it... this drive performs just like the earliest USB 1.1 drives from 25 years ago, and I've never experienced a USB drive with such bad performance for a VERY long time.1) The port it is attached to works perfectly fine with other devices.2) I'm copying files from a gen 4 nvme drive that reads beyond 7,000 MB/sec, and it can only write to this USB drive in a few megabytes, or even just in KILOBYTES per second?!?! Did we time travel back to 1999? I'm obviously not expecting it to write at the speeds the nvme drive can read at.... I'm not even expecting it to be all the fast, just like other USB drives, but Kilobytes per second...? Really...? (see attached screenshot -- and that "spike" of performance before it fell ... MoreIs this a scam...? How is it this bad?!8) Deleting files is also insanely slow, only able to delete a few files per second9) These problems persist on another completely different computer, which also works fine with all other USB drives. These dual drives are barely functional as described above.10) I'm also not just writing a lot of very tiny files, which I know can be slow with these tiny USB drives. I'm also not writing just 1 really huge file either. I need a drive that will handle a mixed usage.The performance of this drive is so far below my already low expectations of USB drives. I know these are not nvme or even sata level performance -- not even close. I'm not expecting that at all. I've used a ton of different USB drives, and still I regretted buying these within minutes of opening them.What happened here SanDisk and BestBuy? This product is so far below the expectations I have for a basic USB drive.The product model number "SDDDC3-128G-A46" doesn't even exist on the SanDisk (or Western Digital, the company that owns SanDisk) website. They have a similar one, but it ends in "G46". That is quite concerning, maybe it is a dud product that they are ashamed of?I recommend saving yourself the time and energy and avoiding this product.

4,300 Photos!!

I take a lot of photos on my phone for work, that takes up a lot of important storage space. I was so happy when the sales rep showed me this because I can download the photos from my phone to this drive then to my laptop, keeping personal photos on my phone and work photos securly on this drive. Even though the storage is 128GB, I go through at least 1-2 a month, told you I took a lot of work photos!I would recommend this to anyone who wants to either back up photos to this device or maybe use it for your favorite music/movies/games and take them anywhere with you! I even like how I can put it on my keyring so I'm never without it and I don't lose it when I need it. The capacity, size, and performance are impressive for this price, but the build quality leaves something to be desired. I've been able to connect it and transfer files reliably to a Windows PC and Galaxy S9 phone, and while the transfer rate wasn't as fast as advertised on the PC, it's because the PC only has slower, first-generation USB 3.0 ports so I'd expect faster performance on a more modern PC. The entire outer housing of the drive is made of plastic, and while it's flexible rather than brittle, since the USB-A connector is also made of this plastic (the USB-C connector is metal), I've been handling it gently. Great for data transfer between laptop and phone

I use this often to capture video and audio files that I want to share with others. Often the files are huge and I would max out the Google Drive storage capacity quickly. As an alternative, I just bring this drive with me and download any files directly to other android cellphones or Windows based laptops. Having both the type A/C connections offers great flexibility, while the fast transfer speed and 256GB storage capacity make this a great drive for anyone dealing with a multitude of different file types and sizes. Keep in mind that this also gives you the option to avoid loading up your 128GB or 256GB laptop with extraneous/temporary files that you plan to delete or modify before you archive them. Seriously, WOW!This is such a revelation - between the 512 and 256GB models, I'm able to easily back up my iPad pics, videos, or free up storage space on my MacBook Pro (we all know how ridiculous those upgraded SSDs from Apple are!) so efficiently, so ridiculously fast - it's amazing.I won't give 100% of the credit to the Ultra Dual Drive, but 97% of it's due for sure.I've owned it for almost three years (256, the 512 for two years) and never a hiccup, lost file, corrupted segment or issues of any kind. Nice compact USB-C/A flash drive. Fast!!!

I wanted a newer and faster USB flash drive to quickly copy files from my phone or laptop to my desktop. The files are mostly photos from my phone, camera or drone. This flash drive by SanDisk works very well and gives me the speed I want. I like that I can get the USB 3.1 gen 1 speed and the 128Gb size for a very reasonable price. I just plug it into my phone or laptop and it is recognized immediately. I am also able to quickly copy a lot of files to safely store them onto my Desktop PC and/or network drives. I didn't test the actual speed, but it looks like there are others that have done that here. My only concern is with the flip around cover. It seems a little flimsy and could break after a lot of uses. This drive is labeled as being USB 3.1 gen 1. It advertises maximum read speeds of up to 400MB a second. It doesn't advertise write speeds, but they're supposed to be in the neighborhood of 50MB a second. I tried to write 110 Gigabytes to this drive and it was an exercise in futility. I tried via both the type A and the type C connection on USB 3.2 Gen2 ports and both times it said it would take over a full day to write the files. That is absolutely absurd! I was getting write speeds of about 130 KILOBYTES a second or just over 1/10th of a Megabyte per second. Literally THOUSANDS of times slower than it should be! I know it's not a computer issue because I tried using a MicroSD card with a USB 3.1 adapter and the transfer finished in about 15 minutes. But it tanks when transferring a lot of little files like I was. All drives slow down when you do this, but this drive should not have gotten as slow as it did. Terribly slow lemon

I work as a DJ, and I already had two of these USBs. I bought them 1.5 years ago and they still work great. Rekordbox exports happen at high-speed — in just a few minutes for large syncs, and just a few seconds for small syncs. But I bought a third one of these last month, and unfortunately it's so slow as to be non-functional. I started a Rekordbox export right before I left the house, and when I came back the sync was only 12% complete — 20 hours later! I re-formatted the drive today and tried exporting again, but it's still so slow as to be unusable. I'm seeing that other customers are having this same problem. These drives have been great in the past but something is seriously wrong with the new ones. Frankly I'd like a refund.
