I've found these Scan Disk memory cards to do everything I want them to do. I use them for Video in HD with Extra fine Pixels so has to write to the card quickly. Also some times I need to review when I have just filmed in case of a reshoot. If i go from play to rewind without pressing stop, some cards CRASH! I now have a lot of these and none have failed due to my mis-use! I have used these also with 4K video and have had no issues, they seem to cope well. I do not recommend that you treat them like I have done, but under pressure it's nice to know they can cope with human impatience. Under wet conditions the plastic box keeps used and unused cards dry in your pocket or camera case.

Pros: The SanDisk memory cards are excellent memory cards, and the Extremes are nice and fast, however the most important thing to look at is the write speed, and what would be necessary for the camera's photographic and video needs. However a fast read speed is nice too, and copying photographs onto the computer is so much faster with a higher speed memory card. It's definitively worth spending the extra money to get a good SanDisk memory card rather than wasting time with entry-level memory cards for modern devices, as well as risking the purchase of a fake SanDisk or a generic brand that may or may not deliver on its advertised quality, capacity and speed.Cons: This is not the fastest of the SanDisk cards. SanDisk have always been renowned for high quality storage cards for digital devices. A really important factor, particularly for photographers is the write speed. As image quality grows, so too does file size and you dont want to miss that next shot because the camera is still writing your last one to the card. This card has a write speed of around 40 MBs possibly more. My camera records JPG images at around 15 MB so 3 shots per second can be written to the card notwithstanding the number of shots buffered in the camera. Likewise with RAW coming in at around 35 MB per shot, the write down is pretty quick.Capacity wise, 16 GB is sufficient for approximately 1000 JPG shots of 15 MB each. More than enough to keep you going for a day out.Whats more, the price that Tesco ... MoreSanDisk have always been renowned for high quality storage cards for digital devices. Sans Disks products appear to be good quality. Finding out which type of Sans Disk SD Card is the best product to use with my Tascam DP 24 SD Recording Studio is a bit of a minefield as Sans Disk like all other SD Card manufacturers keep changing the namespackaging of their products. So the SD Cards that are officially recommended by Tascam are either no longer available or have been repackaged. It would be helpful if the manufacturers of SD Cards could make it easier for people like me who are searching for specific Cards by keeping the same specifics and packaging on the SD Cards that have been recommended for use. Using the wrong SD Card for recording can result in losing many hours of creative work that is unretrievable and impossible to duplicate.

I wanted this card for wedding photography. The 64GB card will live in the backup slot up in my Nikon D610 whilst I rotate 16GB cards through the main slot. Ive copied 64GB worth of data onto the card and back off again just to check that the card can really cope with that much data. Ive shot 17GB worth of photos and video so far and the card has performed without a problem. If you need the capacity then Im comfortable recommending this card.

Have only tried out this new card, and it works. Thats all I can say at present. No way of telling if its fast or slow, but as long as videos are captured faultlessly, thats all thats needed. I shoot in Sonys XAVC S HD mode. Oodles of space, which is great. With any luck, I wont ever have to take this card out of my camcorder, as its got enough space on it to last for many videoshooting sprees, before offloading them onto the computer. SanDisk cards Ive always found to be 100 reliable.

I use this card with my Panasonic DMC FZ1000 to capture 4k uhd videos which I then compress to full hd with Handbrake software using own generated preset. Results are way better than expected. Card is fast and reliable and copies seamlessly to my PC and tablet. Capacity seems almost infinite. Videos do not lose any 4k informatiom at all during compression, sound quality is also extremly good. Loads of Pros and no Cons so far. Still photos are stored and transferred quickly with no loss of deail or delay in reproduction. Thoroughly recommend this product which will be my card of choice. Onlu ever has one bad experience with sd cards with a Kingston product which looked and acted like a fake so I tend to avoid these.

Bought 2 of these for my elderly CoolPix P7100, as a back problem is temporarily preventing me from lugging round my full SLR kit. I like to shoot RAWs as well as JPGs and a small capacity card does not cut it for a trip any longer than a weekend. This purchase gives me almost 3K shots per card and is cheaper than buying older technology. It is perfectly compatible with my camera and acceptance testing confirms there are no problems formatting, saving, copying and deleting files. The speed is more than enough for me and allows the camera to work to its specification this older model inevitably has some lag when doing HDR multiple shots.Cannot comment on long term reliability, but I have often used SanDisk in the past and never had any problems. Very pleased so far.

I tested the speeds of this card using a couple different software, and it honestly works at the speeds it is advertising on the BH website. I cant believe I waited so long before I bought a high speed card, but I was dumb. I only use this with my DSLR to take pictures for fun when traveling or hiking. I have not tested these on actual video camera or 4K. The cards I had were fine, but this makes my photography more fun. My timelapses can actually be faster, even though I wont need that often. I havent even used my other SD cards since I bought this one. I think I will only keep them for safety, but probably wont use them often.

Tested with h2testw to check id it was fake or not. Passed that test. Tested with CrystalDiskMark and Bench32 to test rw speeds. These were disappointing. The best of the read results just reached 88 Mbs and the speeds dropped alarmingly to about 3 Mbs. Write speeds were worse, the best was about 60Mbs. It remains to be seen what the performance in the real world will be. Would probably not be adequate in a Canon eos 1Dx but satisfactory in, say, a 5D mk IV.
