Well, not wasted. I'm still planning to do some video on my Fuji X-T5, and V90 is definitely recommended for 6.2K. But I do mostly still photography, and after spending hundreds of dollars on 2 pairs of 128GB cards I'm still potentially running out of space at lengthy events. I read various online opinions on the use of V30 cards in the X-T5, and the consensus is that in practice, you can't tell the difference with V60 or V90 cards. I just did a couple of high-speed burst tests with these and yeah, once the buffer fills up there's a bit of a delay, but after a few seconds it was cleared. With the V90s I might be able to squeeze a couple more shots out on a long burst, but I really only ever do well-timed short bursts for fast action scenes anyway. I bought to of these when I first got my Cannon R6. They are really fast and that is the good. The bad however outweighs the good. These cards cause a Canon R6 to hang. When complaining to Canon that my camera was locking up when shooting sports, they said it was the memory cards I was using. I really did not buy that because I never had any issues with SanDisk cards before. However if I use the same setup on standard SD cards I never have an issue, and I have shoot a Season of Hockey and Soccer without any issue. I can not say this is a problem with the card or the camera because I do not have another camera that supports these cards. I also do not have any other brand of UHS-II cards to try at this time. This thing is a godsend for the things I use it for. I work in the IT department and used to carry around a portable hard drive to store the files I needed and now I just carry this little guy with me everywhere I go. I carry everything from ISOs for Office, Windows, and Dev tools to portable apps for Email, IM, and other utilities. Whenever I need to install something I just plug this in and mount the ISO and it installs way faster than using a CD or installing over the network. I did have to reformat the drive using exFAT so that I could store ISOs larger than 2GB but using FAT is the norm so it can work with OSx as well as Windows. Nice peace of mind knowing this when youre going to spend 150. As far as design goes, the SanDisk Extreme comes in a metal case with a retractable USB plug. It is notably longer than the other drives I have used but not so much that becomes bothersome. The retraction mechanism works really well and is perfectly smooth and seems to be spring assisted and I much prefer this over using a cap to protect the USB connector as eventually you will lose that thing. The speeds on this thing are amazing, reading and writing files were on average around 200 MBs when copying to and from a Samsung 840 EVO SSD which is plenty fast for anything you need to do, installing programs from an ISO on the device finished within minutes.

I have tried many cards to shoot in 4K on my canon R6, but this is the only one that has worked. This card gives you the speeds to shoot 4K very smoothly with zero buffering. While taking photos, there is no buffering when you are shooting. If you need a card to shoot 4K footage and no camera buffering, look no further and purchase this card. This card is now two years old and I use it daily for my photography business. The card runs smoothly as good as the day I bought it. The only con to this card is the price. When I bought it, it was a lot more money, so the price has gone down. With that in mind, I still think it’s worth the money as your 4K footage will film perfectly.
