I purchased a Sandleford Cash Box a few years ago and it has been fantastic to use at Bunnings BBQs, fetes etc. However, the key was accidentally broken and to get a replacement key costs almost as much as the entire box that comes with 2 keys. I contacted Sandleford and they will only supply a replacement key via an form submitted at a Bunnings Special Order Desk. This does nothing to improve the environment when it is almost the same cost (or more for the 250mm Cash Box) and quicker to buy a new box, just to get a single key.

I bought this after having a look at it in the store. I understand the criticisms that others have of this item but it's a sturdy little box that will suit my needs just fine.

I brought this item, & according to bunnings online photo & photo of the actual box install, the coin department had 6 spots. Only to find it has 3. Why advertise by photos what it DOESN’T have?
Takes me 3 seconds to open the lock without the key. I will not be using it to store my valuables, that's for sure. The build quality isn't too bad so maybe it'll serve as an ashtray?
I bought this to replace a broken cash box but I looked at the photos and didn’t read the description properly. The photo showed a 6 coin tray when it was actually a 3 coin tray, so I didn’t realise it was going to be smaller than what I wanted. I gave it a low rating because the photo didn’t match the description.
The packaging shows it as 6 compartments but its only 3.Also very easy to crack. I brought it to hide money and someone opened it with a bra wire in 60 seconds.
It’s a good price for what I wanted it for. Was purchased for elderly parent to use but he found it too fiddly to open and jammed his fingers twice
This thing is useless. Insert scissors into the lock and it opens immediately. Pathetic, do not buy.
