Coming from an RTX 3080, this was just the increase in performance I was looking for to get higher fps at 4K resolution. As I wasn't going to shell out for an RTX 4090, or get gimped on VRAM by going for an RTX 4080.The card is huge, at 4 slots...but it runs cool and quiet.

Better than a 4080 for a lower price, runs WZ2.0 at 42 degrees. beast of a card. However one down side = not sure if there is an issue with the fans, or if theres an issue with the Trixx software fan health check they seem to be working fine though

This Sapphire card is beautifully made and is overclocked by default. I'm not a gamer apart from using Microsoft Flight Simulator which it handles at 4K resolution with aplomb. Runs well on my system and is highly recommended. Currently is cheaper than the RTX 4080s.

4th 7900 XTX
8 April 2023

I have owned 4 different varieties of the 7900 XTX. The first one was the reference card. I had zero issues with that card, I did not have a hotspot problem. When Micro Center had the Red Devils in stock, I exchanged the reference for it. Now I had some issues with the cards I got, and I think that just boils down to bad luck. They both had stability issues, the first one immediately and the second one after a few weeks. Don't let what Happened to mine discourage you from the Red Devil, it has been a wonderful card for most. From there I went to the Taichi, which for the most part was a really good card, very well made and a really good performer. The issue I had with that card was that it ran HOT and you could tell the card itself was being held back a little bit ... MoreI have owned 4 different varieties of the 7900 XTX. From there I went to the Taichi, which for the most part was a really good card, very well made and a really good performer. The issue I had with that card was that it ran HOT and you could tell the card itself was being held back a little bit because of it. Then... They got this beauty in.This card is the best performer of the 4 I have had. It's the best looking, has the highest clock speeds, and the temps are absolutely remarkable. The highest I have seen the Junction temps get to is the low 80's, usually staying between high 60's and mid 70C while gaming. The GPU temps themselves stay around 50-60C. As far as overclocking and stability goes, it's unbelievable. My settings are as follows:max clock: 3200Mem Clock: 2800PL: +15Voltage: 1085mV.While gaming the clock often goes and stays slightly over 3000. The memory is stable at higher clock even, but degradation starts to happen above 2800, I had mine working perfectly fine at 2824, then backed it back down to 2800 where it is fully stable and performing the best.Of the cards I have had I would rate them as such:1.) Sapphire (this card)2.) Taichi3.) Reference (I got lucky with mine)4.) Red Devil (I was very unlucky with the two cards I had)The only thing I can say negative about this card is that the power consumption is pretty high, however, with this card and the Taichi pulling the same power, this one is a much better and cooler performer.

Card good software bad thats all.
9 May 2023

The card itself is great. I get good temps (obviously), minimal coil whine, its very pretty, super easy installation, and games run flawlessly with it. However, The adrenaline software was a nightmare to work with. The software is super slick and easy to use, sure. But the constant crashing of certain games, freezes on the desktop, whole computer going slow-mo forcing a restart. It was a genuine nightmare. At first I thought I had gotten a faulty card and I was regretting my purchase but with some help from friends and the internet we found out it was the software. Uninstalled the software and then installed just the drivers and everything has worked flawlessly. Just a bit upsetting since i wanted to do some overclocking and kinda wanted to use the AMD instant ... MoreThe card itself is great. Cool and quiet
10 February 2023

As others have mentioned this card runs cool and quiet. It's a chonk so make sure it'll fit in your case. Wish the Trixx software gave more rgb options but you can plug an argb cable directly into your motherboard for more control. A lot of OC headroom as well, only problem is Adrenaline keeps resetting even though everything was running stable. Great card, not a great price. It hurt my wallet but I'm hoping it will last a few gpu generations.

Great card, does exactly what I expected.
9 May 2023

Reviewing this after having applied Bykski's GPU waterblock for this - card exhibits no real issues, nor do I have any coil whine while using this in my custom loop. Did not run this card with the original stock cooler, I removed it immediately once my GPU waterblock came in. The stock air cooler is significantly meaty, so I would imagine the cooling performance would suffice for most standard setups with decent airflow..

Great card, tad expensive though
1 February 2023

I love it. Runs cool and absolutely kills every game at 3440x1440. Temps are always low, and even the junction temp is low. Highest junction temp I've seen was 84⁰ while playing cyberpunk for a while.

Not worth the extra premium.
28 March 2023

I've been using it for 2 months now. So my review will be based off that usage only. When it comes to temps, it stays in the high 60 C range. Overclocking is useless on these cards, because you usually get about 5/ 10 fps extra. My specific card has very bad coil whine and makes a loud noise when i use rgb sometimes (i just turn it off). Overall, I would recommend you get a cheaper model for about 1000 $ or less instead of this 1200 $ model. Otherwise, just get the 4090 in this price range. AMD adrenaline software is also pretty bad in many ways. I don't even use that software for anything, its just bloatware at this point. Performance is indistinguishable from other 7900 xtx models. So you're pretty much wasting 200 $ for nothing.

Owned multiple, best one
29 April 2023

As another review here has said, I have owned multiple 7900 XTX's and this one is by far the best of the bunch. Overclocks wonderfully, and stays cool even with memory at 2800 and +15% PL. I have yet to see the junction temps break 80 Celsius, even with the power draw, which is on the higher side. I have my GPU clock set to 3250 (It never gets that high) and it stays between 2800-3000 Mhz at all times depending on the game. Memory is stable at 2814 fast timing, and I have the GPU voltage set to 1085. Rock solid stability. It's more expensive, but the quality of the build and performance is worth it. Sapphire hit a home run with this design.

The Vapor Chamber is mounted in contact with the surface of the main chip and memory. Since the entire area transfers heat at the same rate, the Vapor-X module has been engineered to operate more efficiently than a copper heat sink at carrying away heat. Upon gaining heat, the heat source is pushed to the Vaporization Wicks to begin the heat dissipation process. Due to extreme low pressure, working fluid and pure water are easily vaporized, and transferred through the vacuum until reaching the Condensing Wick which is adjacent to the cooled surface. From here, it turns back to a liquid state whereby the liquid is then absorbed into the Transportation Wick by capillary action and moved back towards the Vaporization Wick. A recycled liquid system occurs when the heat source reheats the liquid and it becomes re-vaporized by the Vaporization Wick to restart the Vapor-X Cooling process.
