This cable was everything I hoped it would be for almost a month. But after gentle use for that short period of time, it's already fraying around one connector. I bought a braided cable because I wanted something sturdier than Apple's option, but this thing is falling apart in record speed. Unfortunate, because it looks the part and data/charging speeds were great.

The original flat short cable that came with my Satechi hub stopped working, so I bought this hoping to replace that, but I didn’t read the description carefully and this cable DOES NOT SUPPORT VIDEO. However, it’s still a keeper as the fast transfer speed is great, so I still enjoy not having to deal with a long cable every time I connect the hub for data transfer purposes. Cable is well made.

The cable is very strong and feels like it will last a long time, has weight and good flexibility. Using on a MacBook Air 2018 and the connector is not to wide to block or interfere with second USB C port in anyway. The cable can easily be wrapper up for travel and does not appear to have any downsides. I really hope to see lighting cables made from this cable material in the future.
Satechi products are by "Go-to" brand for quality products at reasonable prices. An example of this is the USB-C cable that I bought. One look and you see the quality and attention to detail. I have a beautiful Headphones stand from them along with 3 item charger (Watch, AirPods, and iPhone) and a Macbook Type-C Pass through USB hub. All are beautifully designed technology products.
This is one of the most solid USB cables I have used! I don't have any 100W gear to test it fully, but it has enough copper inside. The plugs are metal with moulded filling and the cable sheath is tight stranded braid, not just extruded net like some others.Note this is HEAVY cable, bulky and not very flexible, better suited to a desk installation than every day carry (I am getting more 10" flexi cables for EDC) but who is carrying a 100W charger with them?Best finishing touch - two quality ties to tame the python when required, removable when not.
Got this cable shortly after Satechi released it. Cable came in from Amazon yesterday, and i am super impressed with the quality. While many cables that are braided have a soft or flimsy sheath housed around the internal wiring, this braided design actually seems like it was reinforced around the product. Plus the usb-c casings are made of alumnum, instead o plastic. A great quality cable at a great price.
This is a nicely made cable. BUT: it only supports the slowest possible USB speeds. It doesn't support video at all. Use this ONLY for charging! Don't use it for anything requiring data transfer!
Works as advertised. I charge my MacBook Pro, 2 iPhones, Apple Watch and iPod pros with no problem. The unit is compact and takes little space. Really love it. Also have the 4 port model which I use in another room for convenience.
Super portable. Design is so solid. Looks and feels fantastic. Super sturdy and gets the job done. Best 100W cable I have ever used. I have it set up on my desk for permanent charging for my MacBook iPad or any usb device I use.
