4th pair of Cohesions, last pair of Cohesions

I buy a pair of Cohesions every 1.5 -2 years. This is my 4th pair. I always order a size 10.5 wide and they fit just fine. This last pair seemed like the fit was a little snugger in the toe box, so I decided to move up to an 11 wide. Boy, has this shoe has changed. It isn't the same generous toe box construction as previous models I've owned...and I feel like I could almost use more length. I've always worn a 10.5, maybe an 11. But never an 11.5. The wide width didn't feel very wide, either. The shoes I've owned in the past have had very meshed uppers, which was great for the flexibility of the shoe, and allowed wider feet some room to move around. So I guess that's the end of our run Saucony!

I finally go on my birthday to the foot doctor where they tell me I have an extra bone in my foot that is now inflamed and if it doesn't get better by the boot I need surgery. I am now in a boot for a month, my wedding is in two months and my foot is not getting any better and I will probably need surgery. Did Saucony cause this issue? Not directly, but I am 22 years old and have had no feet issues with the extra bone (one that only 10% of the world has) until these new shoes. As I called to explain I was told since I wore them once I cannot return them (understandable), but was not offered money back. Then I was told that I could use a discount online to purchase a new pair. As nice as that is, you cannot pay me enough money to buy again from a company that does not acknowledge or have any remorse towards something that has now cost thousands of dollars and will most likely mean invasive surgery all because I got a new pair of shoes. So buy at your own risk and do not expect them to work with you or have any accountability towards their products.

I bought these shoes as my new walking shoes after reading a recommendation for them in Women’s Health. I had been a Saucony fan back when I was actually running daily, so I expected them to be comfortable. I am very happy with these comfortable cushiony shoes. I ordered my usual 9M and the fit is perfect. I have had two foot surgeries and bouts of plantar fasciitis, so I’m very particular about the comfort level of my shoes. These are great for me.

Good Shoes, Older Model Better
21 August 2020

I use these shoes for regular everyday use. They aren't my exercise shoes.I got a pair of the Cohesion 11 model 2 years ago and LOVED them. I wore them almost every day (even though you're supposed to rotate shoes). I am a film production student, and I was able to stand on the 11 model for 3, 12+ hour days with no discomfort. After two years, I needed to replace them. Now I've got the 13 models, and they're pretty similar to the 11's. Decent quality. When I first stepped into them, it was a great feeling. However, (after about five weeks), I frequently have to shift my weight to avoid feeling some discomfort about every 5-10 minutes, depending on how long I've been standing. I'm currently working a summer job at a fast-food place, so I'm on my feet for around 5 hours at a time.I may have broken them in too harshly by wearing them on a long shift the third day I had them, instead of wearing them a few times a day, a couple of days per week.I have noticed that this model is lighter than the older model, so that's nice. They seem a bit less "clunky" than the 11's, which sometimes felt a bit wide.I like these shoes, and they're comfortable for most of my shifts, but I would rather have new 11's instead. The photo features my old 11 on the left and the new 13 on the right.

Great running/walking comfort with plenty of toe room
8 February 2020

I have been a Saucony fan for many years because of their heel comfort, roomy toe box and reliable sizing year after year. I have average width feet, but cannot wear pointy shoes because they press on my big toe. That makes walking uncomfortable and running impossible. I only run 3 days a week, 5K each of those days, so I'm not an avid/competitive runner, it's just part of my exercise. Because they are stylish, I also wear these casually for errands, shopping, etc.I've been through 2 previous generations of Cohesion for my running and this one has the same, if not better, comfort level I expect from Saucony.Out of the box, these felt like I'd been wearing them for months....always been my experience with this brand. These have a neutral arch which I like. Thanks Saucony for such a great shoe!

Great shoe for a picky customer
16 June 2020

This shoe has a great look and great construction. I was looking for a new workout shoe for moderate aerobics that would not fall apart when I do planks, lunges, side to side moves, etc.I am a 58 y.o. female, 5' 6", 147 lbs, medium build, who exercises 3-4 times per week. I have a narrow foot, size 7 or 7.5, with a high arch and narrow heel, so I prefer well constructed, supportive, well-fitting shoes. This shoe fit snugly at size 7.5 with gym socks. If you need more room, order half size bigger.I have had these for about 2 weeks and my comments will be on my experience so far.I have seen most shoes compromise on the padding, especially in the tongue. Because of the snugness, my foot doesn't slide around inside the shoe while I'm moving. My foot seems balanced and my weak ankles feel supported during my workouts.I ordered the all black which I like, but I forgot that my white gym socks look dumb with black shoes! Oh well, I'll have to buy some cool black socks.I'm pretty picky about workout shoes because of my narrow foot, but these are working out great so far. I would probably purchase again.

Solid, No-Frills Shoe
15 June 2023

I walk approximately 30 miles a week and have been wearing these shoes for the past several months (same model, different color). When I saw these hit clearance I know it was a complete no-brainer to pick up another pair. The soles are well-constructed and work well with city walking. The cushioning is supportive but not squishy - which is fine, because overly squishy insoles get compacted quickly. I feel like Saucony may have cheapened these shoes out a little in some of the future models (e.g., the Cohesion 15 and 16) so I was happy to be able to grab some "new old stock."

Think before buying these Saucony
28 September 2022

I have worn Saucony for years and these were not anything like all the others I have owned, not good. First this particular model ran very short, maybe a whole size short. Secondly my foot did not fit down into the shoe like it usually does with Saucony. Third the materials seemed stiffer than usual. These things made me wonder if these happened to be legitimate Saucony shoes.

Very Comfortable and supportative
12 November 2020

So I bought these shoes on Oct 27, 2020, as a gift for my 17-year-old niece. I loved the fact that they were black, so they do not show scuffs or dirt easily. The shoes are very supportive and comfortable. She works in a kitchen on the weekends, so she is standing on concrete for 6-10 hours straight. She told me that with these shoes, her feet do not hurt, nor does her back. They have a good grip on the floor so she doesn't slide, with the exception of if someone uses a lot of water and has just mopped the floor. She said she slid a little before the "traction" set in, as she calls it. All in all, we are very pleased. They are holding up well and she said the shoes fit perfectly and are the most comfortable she has had in a long time. Very short lived
11 September 2021

I bought these because I was looking for a nice looking all-black sneaker that doesn't look like a frumpy work shoe. These do look really good and worked with a lot of outfits. But they lasted about four months before they starting giving me intense shooting pain in my foot. I had to trade shoes with my sister in order to keep walking home, and that was their last day. Pretty disappointed. I have had old worn out sneakers well past their prime that I could continue to use as casual walking shoes for years. Also, I sized up a half size, but I think I still needed some room in the toe box, so I would advice sizing up a full size at least. Probably could have extended its life with shoe inserts if I had bought them bigger as well.
