I have run in Saucony Hurricanes forever and was crushed when I couldn't find them anymore...until I bought this shoe. Out of the box comfort, full shoebox that easily accommodates my orthotics without putting pressure on my high instep. Holds my narrow heel in place and hugs through the midfoot, then flares into a wonderful roomy toebox. Great arch support, great cushioning.

Always in search of comfortable shoes. This was rated high on some list. They are comfortable. Good for daily wear. May be better as a runner as it does have a good bounce.

I love training in the Saucony Endorphin SPEED 3s. A great all-around shoe with comfort and umph when you need it. They fit my normal to slightly wide feet perfectly.In contrast, the SHIFT 3s are far more NARROW in the TOE BOX. I don't understand how this shoe is supposed to complement the Speed 3 and Pro 3, when the fit is so vastly different. I would expect a more relaxed fit given that this shoe is aimed at long/easy runs.Otherwise, the Speedroll technology works well and the midsole is firm and normal-feeling. Grip from the outsole is adequate, the upper feels very comfortable ignoring the footprint which is only appropriate for people with narrow feet.

I train in the Shift 3 for Recovery Runs and Long Runs, and really like it as a complement to plated shoes for speed work and racing. The shoe is stable and adequately stiff for slower paces, and the absence of the "plated spring" makes me feel like I'm working other muscles. The shoe is responsive insofar as the foam is hard, but it does not propel you forward like other foams or a plated shoe . . . again which I like for training. At the same time, if you're looking for one shoe that does it all, not sure this it. And I do occasionally wish it was a bit more lively. Like other comments, rocks get wedged on occasion into the center groove on the sole.
This is a very good show that can handle slow and tempo runs with a nice balance of cushioning and medial support. I have the Endorphin Speed and Triumph 19 and this shoe is the same size as the other runners. The laces are a little stretchy and my narrow to average width foot fits nicely and I think they would work for even a wider foot. My size 12 is still light enough to run 4:30 min/km tempo and interval runs.
Shoe fits well and will accommodate a wide foot. The heel counter which extends on the medial side provides great support for mild to moderate over pronation. The shoes rocker is very well placed and feels natural in the gate cycle. The midsole starts off quite firm but after 30 miles it really softens up. A great easy day shoe but also will allow you to pick up the pace with relative ease. Breathability is good and the quality is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a shoe for long miles with plenty of cushion and good response. It may read as a weighty shoe but it doesn t feel heavy underfoot.
Really like this new runner! Indigo blue looks nice, it's lightweight and comfortable too.Provides a solid platform both for working out and running. I'm actually much faster walking on the track with this shoe! Added bonus is the height - it makes me about an inch higher than my previous shoe. Love it .
I decided to buy this shoe because of the good reviews it got and that in had a PowerRun insole. I had the Guide 15, which has that insole and it is so good that I didn't need custom arch orthotics.The Endorphin Shift with the PowerRun insoles is a perfect fit in the wide width. The upper fit with the traditional laces is very comfortable. You feel securely locked in, but there is no pressure on the top of the arch.In addition to the comfort of the fit, the ride is smoother than any shoe I've worn. Yet the cushioning feels responsive and doesn't slow you down. When my feet hit the ground, you can barely hear them.This is written with about 40 miles on the shoe. They felt great from mile one. Really the best shoe I have worn!
The Shift 3 are lighter (and without the rigid plastic heel counter) than version 1 and are a comfortable and forgiving shoe for longer and/or easy runs. Paired with the Endorphin Speed 3, they cover all the different training runs you'll ever have to do on road. The Endorphin range continues to go from strength to strength!
Great shoes and....very comfortable. Really helps eliminate the pain from my plantar fasciitis. Also the heel to tie drop isn't as much as some shoes so I feel more stable just standing
