Purchased for my Goddaughter/sometimes hiking partner for her birthday. Her prior footwear choices were a pair of mid-high Oboz and Walmart tennis shoes. She opted for the tennis shoes way too often :/ So I ordered a pair of these and a pair of La Sportiva Bushido IIs and we picked them up at REI. She tried them both and it was at least 15 minutes before she settled on the Sauconys, so I guess they were both good picks. She's worn them only twice, and for nothing too technical, but Loves them. Was this review helpful, sorry no. Maybe if you wait a year or so I could give some specifics, but for me they were a homerun!

I recently purchased the peregrines 11 in the cherry colour which is beautiful and looks exactly as pictured. My hunt for the perfect hiking sneaker is over. They fit true to size . Many of the other hikers I tried were too wide in the forefoot , these were an ideal fit. They feel supportive and have ample cushioning. My feet are protected from the rocks or tree roots along the trail. I have worn them several times on local trails in my community and highly recommend the peregrine 11's.

I was looking for trail shoes to wear on walks in my community's foothills and day hikes. The shoes fit so we'll the moment I tried them on. I immediately felt good arch support which is saying something as I've had lots of problems with my feet these past couple of years. My Superfeet orthotics also fit into them. Took them on a trail to test them out with lots of uphill. Got a bad blister on both heels going uphill. Maybe I should of broke them in first on flat ground or maybe next time I'll wear the original shoe inserts and not my own. I was a bit surprised as they fit like a glove in the store. Hoping they wear better the next time I try them! Really want them to work. I lady stopped me on the trail to compliment them. After hitting the 500 mile mark in my Peregrine 10s, it was finally time for a new pair, and I decided to stick with Saucony. First problem came with the fact that these seem to be sized smaller than the previous model, so I had to go up a half size. Once I got the size that fit well, I excitedly took them out. Got to mile 14 of an 16 mile hike and had a blister on the back of my heel; laced them up using a heel lock and figured that would do the trick. I let the blister heal, and took them out on a shorter hike; got about 3 miles in and had a blister on the back of my heel. I let the blister heal, and got a quarter sized blister on my heel in less than 2 miles. Time to go shoe shopping again, I guess!
Saucony is my go-to brand for running shoes, so I decided I'd try these for hiking. They've been amazing! I usually hike 15-20 miles/week and have worn them on a couple of 20+ milers. They are lightweight, stable, comfortable and have great grip going up and down all types of surfaces...sand, rock, dirt, gravel, boulders. I've had them for over a year now and I would say they've for sure gone over 800 miles and I am just looking to replace them. The shoes have held up great, everything is still intact with no holes, but some of the tread is worn smooth and I'm beginning to notice it's time for some new ones. I couldn't be happier with how they've held up. And one of the things I love about Saucony is with my running shoes I can buy the same model year after year and trust that even with improvements they will be similar enough to the old model that they will still work really well for me. I love not having to start the hunt all over again. I'm assuming it will be the same with the Peregrines. Ordering my next pair right now!
I have been wearing Peregrines for 7 years now and have been so grateful to have a wide. I don't blow out the toe box anymore or get rubs. A really nice trail shoe that has carried me on many ultras. I wear a 9.5W in this and all my other non-running shoe brands. Very true to size.I do wish, however, they came in more fun colors. Dull, boring, basic colors like grey and black just don't spark joy. It sucks when you see the "regular" width come in bright yellows, pinks, and blues and your only option is grey or black.
I do a lot of hiking and in summer, only wear trail running shoes. I have purchased both the Peregrine 7 and the Peregrine 10 in the past and needed a new pair. Just received the Peregrine 11 and am extremely disappointed. They have markedly widened the toe box and it seems reduced the heel drop (or at least it feels that way to me). I ordered my usual size 8.5 and the fit is not the same at all as previous iterations. A sloppy fit with little support. Quality not there either. These are going back and I will not be buying any more of the Saucony Peregrines
Bought these on sale and was sold immediately upon first wearing. Comfort right out of the box, great grip on most every rock & ledge I've been on in the Whites even if a little damp. Also lightweight. Yeah I have probably 200+ miles & showing some wear & tear (literally outside near little toe on both shoes) and they won't last forever. But that's the price of a lightweight hiking shoe. I liked these so much I bought 2 others exactly the same!
I love the Peregrine 11's more than any other trail runner I have ever owned. With other shoes, I often am worried I might fall but I've had zero issues with these shoes. They are also very comfortable in the toe area when going down hill. I like that they are more reasonably priced than other brands. I've had these for several months now and have had zero issues. Also, a lot of times I have heel slippage but haven't had any heel slippage with these shoes. The fit is perfect, I appreciate the wide width!
Ran a trail half marathon in these pretty much straight out of the box, and then thru-hiked 500 miles in them. Can't say how pleased I was with them. No blisters on runs or on the hike (how?!), dried quickly when wet, and overall extremely nice and pleasant. Enough cushion that rocks and roots don't bother, minimal enough that you still feel in touch with the ground. I have slightly wide feet, which these accommodated just fine. I sized up to a 10 from my usual 9.5 and they worked great. Not too loose, but enough room for feet to swell on long hot days. The soles did start to flap off after about 600 miles of rough terrain, but that seems like a pretty average lifespan. I bought a few more, since I've finally found my favorite trail running + backpacking shoe!
