The product was damaged and only became apparent after packaging removed the cord used to hang it on the display rack had been pulled causing it to become detached from the border of the sunshade
I brought this one because it was over sized and thought it could be trimmed to suit my 2008 VW Caddy Van. It's great, fits perfectly now i have trimmed it to suit my front windscreen. No sun gets in at all and noone can see i have the lights on the inside of the van. I lined the inside of all the window shades with 4 way stretch carpet. and it looks great inside.
Product is much stiffer than inferior quality products, so it holds its place well on the windscreen. In a short period of time, the inferior products crumple easily and collapse away from the windscreen, rendering the product useless. So important to fold it carefully without bending it, to retain its stiffness without creases.
The Sunshade was well packaged, in first class condition and reasonably priced. However it was a bit of a 'tight fit' for my BA Falcon so I used it as a cover for my boat esky. Excellent. I bought a smaller size and solved trhe car shade problem.
I guess, unless it's tailor made, no sunshade is going to fit perfectly, and that's ok. But picking the right size is still important. I think there needs to be a pattern change to accommodate modern cars with large sensor units on the windscreen. The centre cutout needs to be enlarged. Scrunching it up to fit under the rear vision mirror will probably shorten the life of the shade. But it still works well and reduces the heat buildup and UV penetration considerably. I don't use the suction cups as they leave annoying rings on the windscreen. But you don't need them if the sun visors hold it in place.
Who designed this sunshade with these ATROCIOUS suction caps? Everyone knows that without the suction caps to stick to the windscreen, this sunshade has no proper function! I got permission to fit it on my car first before buying and as I opened it I didn't realise that the suction caps fell out (it wasn't packaged separately or anything, just lazily placed in the cardboard packaging). So I got home and went to place the sunshade onto my windscreen when I realised I didn't have the caps with it. I went back and found one on the ground of the car park and now I just use my window to hold velcro string on the other side. Anyway, personally I hate this design.
