By the looks of the other reviews this used to be an adequate product that is now produced at a lower quality. I had a noname one for years that looked identical to this one. I picked up this SCA branded one 2 months ago. It never worked properly right from the get go, and yesterday the earth probe just fell apart. Very minimal use. Binned it. You've been warned.
I specifically needed a OHMS meter to measure a ignition coil of my Buell Xb 12R Firebolt, the return reading that I needed I looked up in the service manual and online, as I didn't get that reading I ordered a new part from NETHERLANDS. When the new part arrived i got the same bad reading off the new part I just purchased. And if your thinking user error NO, I confirmed the reading by getting two friends to confirm my original findings prior to ordering a new part. Then I borrowed a Multimeter of a friend and got a good reading on both parts. More than a hundred dollars down because of this unit. Your asking why did you buy a $22 cheap unit anyway? I upgraded my 32+ year old multimeter due to the leads could not be used anymore , they break internally . Looking at the photo you supplied my suggestion is to fit the red and black leads pointing in the 9 o’clock direction as the wires wrap around the meter easily for storage but more importantly never let anyone rotate them whilst in place as there is a good chance the pushed in metal component will not turn but the outer plastic will and tear the fine wires apart internally, ..
Don’t buy this product.Very very cheap material and quality.Wires hardly last for a week. Metal tip on top of wire goes inside n there isn’t any way to take or out. Have to break it. Totally waste of money.
You can’t go wrong, light, tough enough, large display, simple to use. This is my 2nd one ever, the 1st one I must’ve had it for over 15years. It’s only just succumbed to the tropical weather this year.1st thing on the list early this year, been checking all batteries on Ute boat bike and car.
