I was just talking with a couple of friends about not being able to find reasonably priced Sandalwood and here you are to prove me wrong! It's excellent! To be honest, I actually deliberately searched your site because your soaps are wonderfully scented! I would give this much more than 5 stars if it included them on the ratings form!

I love Indian Shadow. I often use it to shade eye sockets and facial recesses to add a warmer hue. It thins down into a glaze with just water. I find it easier to work with than Citadel's Flesh shade, which can stain.

I usually use Scale 75 but for a recent Chaos Knight project, I wanted to try out this red and see how it holds up in comparison, this is my first experience with this type of paint so take my opinion as experienced and with a grain of salt. It dried to a rather orangish color and was very spotty in coverage but when used to be a technical paint as blood on weapons, looks amazing.

I love scale75 Color Paints (and why)
6 August 2021

I love Scale 75 Color Paints but these are not the same as their Fantasy and Game line. These are extremely matte, which can make or break a a paint for many people. I LOVE matte paints for my minis because to me they make cloth look like cloth and objects not have that plastic sheen that you find in many common hobby paints. If that's your thing, you will love these. If you want more of a candy coat, you'll be disappointed. I find these very versatile and the coverage is generally great. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Not beginner friendly
20 October 2022

Not beginner friendly. I did not realize that this brand is very difficult to work with. Supposedly you need to shake this vigorously for a long long time for it to be workable. This is a hobby to me, I don’t want to spend arduous amounts of time shaking paints until my arm falls off.

One of my Favorite Paints
26 January 2022

I adore this paint. I use it on almost every miniature that has pale skin. It is great for shading eye sockets and facial recesses for a cold hue. I often thin it down into a glaze with just water and use it to subtlety shade skin. I much prefer this than Citadel's Flesh shade, which tends to be quite red and stain already painted surfaces. Give it a try: you won't turn back.

Pale skin base coat!
21 June 2022

Painting fair skin over a grey mini was not going well my first time. Layering white as a base seemed to dull the detail that was already a bit lacking on my Succubus minis. This is an excellent pigment rich base for me that's more natural than white and flows very smoothly. I'm new to painting minis and very grateful for the experience I had with this on my test minis.**Note: as someone trying this brand for the FIRST TIME, for the love of everything do NOT turn it upside down and gently squeeze like a normal bottle! So me going to gently release paint as usual lead to about a third of the bottle exploding over my bed (read "temporary work station") and all over the notebook I was using to test the paints, as the top piece easily came out. After the initial shock and questioning my life choices, I managed to stain my bedspread but otherwise I'm happy. Used a sewing needle to make 2 small holes in the tip and it works fine.

Scalecolor Pale Skin
3 March 2023

Scale75 and their paint lines are known for being quite thick and very matte. Pale skin is a good match for a bright highlight of MSP09068. It does not match with UA742, or 74.016. WC Flesh2 is somewhat close, albeit not an exact match. It's an extremely pale red-orange.

Yes BUT..
21 June 2022

If it's your first time with this brand, the tips arrive FACTORY SEALED (at least on the 2 shades I tried from them). What does this mean? If you gently squeeze the bottle after shaking to test the paint on your notebook you'll end up with a 3rd of a bottle ALL over you and your work station. Spoiler Alert: it stains. At least on fabrics. Thank goodness my experience was with the pale skin color. It does seem that tip is a looser fit than the one on my Black Leather shade.Interesting shade, I look forward to working with it! I read an article extensive review about someone who mixes it to create custom shadows on their minis for visual interest. I couldn't resist adding it to my budding collection to try for myself!
