Scanpan 11-inch Classic Black Nonstick Wok for Stir-Frying and Sauteing

First time owning a scanpan wok. The surface is coarse to my surprise- so I’m not sure how this can be non stick surface. Will try this out and see the results.** now that I have tested it: it is heavy and takes a long time to heat up but when it does, it holds the heat quite well and food doesn’t stick. Also because of the rough surface, i can no longer just use a kitchen towel to clean it up before the cooking the next dish. The paper tears and leaves bits on the wok.

I replaced my old ,20+ yrs, Scanpan Classic Wok. I bought basically the same thing as I had the stainless steel lid. The coating on my old one was very scratched and wrecked.The new wok has a different finish.Although Scanpan Classic, it has a slightl different finish, a bit bubbly.My brother who is the asian cook specialist, loves it.Says it is heat efficient, even , steady and fabulous .

I've had a high end WOK for many many years but no matter how well I seasoned the WOK before and after use, it always..... always.... had run to get rid of before another use. This Scanpan WOK will be a game changer in our stir fry world. No longer will I have to worry about cleaning of rust before cooking and the weight isn't a heavy as my other WOK. We'll see how it stands up. But as mentioned in previous comments the "exterior" definitely needs Barkeepers friend to keep the oxidization at bay and any drips from cooking on the exterior removed.

Non stick Scanpan Wok performs as advertised!

Only 1 use on new Scanpan wok thus far. Great non stick surface as described. Quality wood utensils performed very well on surface. Only added small amt of olive oil for stir fry flavor. Soap, hot water and nylon scrubby all that was needed to thoroughly and easily clean. Dual handles a plus as pan bit heavy due to great construction. Plan to buy as gift for others. Hope sale prices continues!

Scanpan Classic Non Stick Wok 36cm Fantastic

Just love my new Scanpan Classic Non Stick Wok 36cm. The most important feature I look for is the little extra support handle that are heat resistant..I find as you get older you need that small handle to lift and Scanpan hasn’t disappointed. Reading the directions on how to keep it in good condition certainly pays off. Would definitely recommend and check when buying a heavy cook wear that it has the heat resistant extra handle

Scanpan Induction Non Stick Wok

This Induction version of the 32cm Wok is an improvement on our much older Wok. The longer handle is a much better idea than the smaller handles and the new non-stick surface is so easy to clean.We have only been using it for a short time, but I love it already.

Should have been made for induction cooktops

I rate it 4 stars for 1 reason otherwise perfect. I have not read specifications carefully and missed out “except for induction”. It was made a round bottom wok but with flat bottom outside for flat cooktops so I assumed it was also for induction, a very popular cooktop nowadays. Whilst most other sizes of scanpan woks suitable for induction are available this is the only 36cm non-stick available of the brand.

If you're gonna wok, I know I can depend on Scanpan! Unfortunately I have yet to use it even once...my motivation for cooking was for my elder parents and sadly I lost both of them within a year so never got to making anything with it...my mom was in hospice and I just was too worn out to do the prep work so it sadly didn't happen. Maybe one day...but having other scan pans, I know it will work just as well.

neat and just right for us

A wok is vital in our kitchen - used most nights.And it needs to work on an induction cooktop - which this one does.We've always come back to Scanpan as having the best cooking surface - as this one has. And lasting longest - as we hope this one will if it's like the others we have owned over the years.32cm is a medium size, and just right for 2 people able to cope with 4, I'd say.So, this is ideal.
