It had been used to death and it was time for replacement. The new one is so good - I hadn’t owned a new Scanpan before, so didn’t realise just how efficient it is for cooking and how easy to clean it. Love it.

The best pan! Has all the must-haves in a pan; non metal handles (including helper handle), clear glass lid, heavy for even cooking (no hot spots), and non-scratch (even with metal utensils). I own two and this one at Macy's was the best price, anywhere.

This Saute Pan is my preferred way to reheat anything that has some moisture or can have moisture added over using the microwave. The reheated item stays heated when you are eating it as opposed to a quick heat loss using the microwave. May not be as fast as the microwave, but the extra few minutes is well worth it.

This pan has replaced a very old identical Scanpan sauté pan that I inherited from my Mum. It must have been about 8-10yrs old when I received it, and I’ve had it for 7 years. Yes, I am very happy with my new induction saute pan. I had the same pan, but not for induction for the last 20 years. When we moved into our new apartment the stove had an induction cook plate. Unfortunately, our old pan didn't work with the induction cook plate.

The 28cm size is great for frittatas, you can cook on stove top part of the dish and transfer direct to oven to finish it off and brown the top. The saute pan has so many uses and I prefer the higher sides to the saute pan than the frying pan. The glass lid was different to other Scanpan with lids, that I have purchased in the past, the dome is not as high and it has a stainless rim. I prefer the original glass lids but that is only a matter of choice as both still look good and do similar job. I have many lids from previous purchases so I have plenty to choose from. This is a great pan,The high sides and the lid , make this pan stand out from the rest. It is reasonably light weight but has a thick base for some heat retention. Not so sure about the metal tools as our pan has some slight scratch s after a year s work. At this price it is a steal.
This is my 2nd Scanpan purchase. I wanted to replace an older (cheaper and not as well made) nonstick pan that I use multiple times per week. I thought the Scanpan was reasonable priced, and was very impressed the first time I used it. Nice, even heating, handle never gets hot, and so easy to clean up. Great product.
I have only been using this pan for a few weeks, but so far it is proving to be genuinely non-stick. However, the instructions must be followed in order to keep it that way. The other night I fried chicken pieces on a moderate heat without any oil at all. I have no problem using good quality oil, however, I am just wanting to cut down a bit. I love the titanium finish. I have a scanpan baking dish. It does lovely baked potatoes. This pan is heavy, but not too heavy and washes up well in hot soapy water.
I had to attach the lid handle. I did NOT like doing that. It wouldn't tighten down properly. Plus, why should have to attach something like that? I do NOT like putting stuff together.
Always love Scanpan.Hardware to assemble lid came without screw necessary to assembly.Now I have to figure out who to contact to get the missing piece from the manufacturer.Disappointing quality control from a manufacturer who has supplied the frypans I?ve liked using for decades.
