This pot is definitely wider than the average Stock Pot which is why I wanted it for canning. I can fit many more cans on it's base, but height wise it will be tight for quart mason jars. They will fit with a thin piece of something to lift them off the bottom, but just barely enough to cover them with water. Great for smaller mason jars for sure!

Today we received the Scanpan Commercial Stokpot 11L which I ordered last weekend. I was impressed with the prompt service, the careful packing - and the quality of the product. The stockpot has a really heavy, good quality base and the stainless steel finish is great. We will be making endless amounts of tomato sauce in coming weeks with this, and when winter arrives I have visions of it sitting on the back of our wood stove with stocks and soups simmering away. Thanks everyone at kitchen warehouse for the great service and the fantastic product. I recommend this to anyone interested in a quality product at a great price, and I will certainly be buying from you again.

The Scanpan Commercial range is the one I love. I make chutneys, jams, sauces, tomato pures and soups (to freeze in cup size lots) in bulk. This pot has a heavy base that distributes the heat evenly thus avoiding the dreaded sticking to the bottom of the pot and ever vigilant stirring. The handles are properly attached with stainless steel - not aluminium, as happens with some expensive pots. It is sturdily made. I use a wood stove so the wide bottom is no problem. However, you may need to measure the diameter of your biggest stove/cooker ring as this pot may overhang a bit, necessitating a higher heat - it's a wide pot. However, I recommend this pot.

Perfect size for preserving my jars and bottles of sauce, but not so big that it is a problem to store. It looks stylish, and was a really competitive price.
Well I just badly burnt the base of this pot when cooking my pea and ham soup that I forgot about! I was worried that I may have ruined the pot, but being a fabulous Scanpan product as always, the charred remains on the base of the pot basically peeled off and the pot cleaned up beautifully. This would not have been so easy with a cheaper quality pot, I'm quite pleased that I always spend the extra dollars to buy Scanpan, fabulous size and looks good on the stovetop too!

This product has wonderfully even heat distribution meaning that you can actually get stock to simmer as gently as you should. Also, it simmers evenly instead of just one side of the pot. It also has a small hole in the lid to allow steam to escape, which is more convenient than trying to leave a lid half on/off. My bet would be that you could cook silverside in this pot and get it to simmer consistently instead of turning it up and down all the time which one always seems to have to do with silverside for some mysterious reason. A very good product.
Had ordered stockpot and was awaiting delivery before I made my next batch of Tomato relish, was not dissapointed with the pot, it was not too big or too small, heavy base and good quality Stainless steel, the relish did not stick to bottom, a real bonus, as with some pans no matter how much you stir it still happens.All my pots have been too small for the quantity of relish made, this pot has halved the time of cooking multiple batches. kitchen warehouse is congratulated on a great service and fine quality product, I will certainly be checking out further purchases.
