Scanpan Impact 24cm/7.2 Litre Stockpot

Scanpan are my preferred pots and pans. The quality and finish are excellent. This particular purchase was another example of Scanpan excellence. Very good size for cooking quantity and also wonderful on my Induction Cooktop. I really recommend Scanpan.

Best Stockpot

I love this stockpot! It is the perfect size for us. The lid is great as you can see through it but there is no ventilation hole so the stock stays in the pot! Lovely thick base means barely any heat required to keep the pot simmering. The handles make it easy to lift, and don't get hot unless you have your heat too high (around the sides). I received it very quickly after ordering a few months ago, and it has been hard at work ever since! Easy to clean too! My new favourite pot. Very happy.

Good value for money

Since purchasing this stock pot, I can avoid the travesty of snapping spaghetti in half to fit it in the pot! Additionally, my family has noticed that the taste of my broths and soups have definitely improved, although the recipes have not changed. I conclude this is due to the height of the pot creating the correct internal environment within to produce a more flavorful result. Will be considering replacing all my other pots with Scanpan when the need arises.

Great pot but lid rusting already

As far as the cooking capability/performance of this pot, I have no complaints. Cooks evenly, is a great size for larger meals, it feels solid and it's a nice design. Unfortunately after less than 12 months use, the lid has started to rust in the crease between the glass lid and the rim. Pretty disappointing. I would not have expected this from a Scanpan product, and it's not for lack of care as I always check things are dry before storing them after they've been washed. I've taken two stars off because of this as I bought this product expecting it would have a long life. The signs of rust suggest it may not.

Great size, lovely to use.

Solid base distributes the heat evenly. Just made 4 family batches of vegetable and bean soup to freeze and ate a bowl for lunch - no burnt bits. The lid is a dream and fortuitously fits other Scanpan items too. Handles get quite warm but not dangerously as they stand well out from the sides. It was a very generous discount from the list price and the delivery to my regional address was really quick. I'm impressed.

This is just the ultimate stockpot! Sleek, beautiful user friendly handles and level markers inside. Together with the see through glass lid this pan ticks all the boxes. 10 out of 10!

Scanpan Stockpot a Cut Above the Rest

Scanpan cookware have a great reputation and it is well deserved if this stockpot is anything to go by. The perfect size for home cooking, 7.2 litres gives ample room to pop in a whole chicken for cooking down into a fantastic stock, bone broth; and then into the best homemade soup ever. Or, cooking sizable helpings of rice, pasta for a family gathering/party. The construction of the pot is excellent with big handles to lift a full pot and they don't heat up when cooking. The lid is glass which makes it easy to view cooking process without always having to lift the lid. There are less expensive stock pots on the market however Scanpan stock pot is well worth the extra money.

scanpan Impact Covered Stockpot 11.0 L

I have recently purchased one of these. What prompted me to buy this was on Christmas Day I had to borrow a( similar product, different brand) from my son to make a refreshing pot of Punch. Realizing I needed a product like this I did some research and came up with this Scanpan product. The fact that it had measurements on the inside, and a glass see through lid were definately what made my decision easy, as when making punch you need a litre of this and 500ml of that. Also I have used it for cooking large joints of meat like boiling bacon,silverside etc, not to mention lots of soups in winter. So many uses.
