I now own two of these pans. We had an accident one evening and my teenage daughter left the pan and a ladle on low on a gas range and we all went out for several hours. The ladle melted, fire department was called. We returned home, the house was fine. I assumed the pan was ruined filled with melted plastics. Before the replacement arrived the original was back in service with no damage to the non-stick surface, no difference in performance and no smokey taste. I am only sorry I didn't take a before picture to show he severity of the event.Also the pans preform amazing for all types of cooking. Not quite the same sucs as stainless but the closest I've ever seen in a non-stick surface. I love these pans and use them a LOT every day. I love to cook and have been looking for a good cast iron pan. Instead I took a flyer on the Scan Pro. OMG it's the only pan I use. Frying, browning, stir fry, straight to the oven. I only need one pan and this is it. I bought a second one for our place in the country.

This scanpan pan is delightful to cook with. It's a good size for small dishes and quite deep. The non-stick is super smooth, no hesitation frying eggs etc however due to the deepness, look to their frypans for easier cooking of pancakes or crepes.I'll be buying larger and smaller ProIQ Saute Pans from scanpan in the future. Appliances online seem to always have excellent pricing!

I had purchased a Scanpan skillet before and was very happy with it, so decided to replace my large frying pan with this one. Very good quality non stick, great for breakfast, and the lid makes for a versatile cooking item too. Bought it on sale so got a great price too!
I have used scan pan for many years now it has lasting non-toxic ,non stick coating and are made in Denmark the prices in Australia are on the very reasonable side as compared to Europe . The model i purchased is IQ Pro I have yet to discover another non-stick pan that lasts like the Scanpan , I have used scan pan CTX , IQ and now this IQ Pro which I believe is just the glass cover difference between IQ and IQ Pro models . Scanpans are priced at good value in Australia as compared to Europe prices . There are products that we in Australia pay way too much . i.e. Neff full steam combination oven B48FT78N1B which in UK cost AUD $3,100 inclusive of 20% VAT (UK not being the brands originating country) Scan Pan prices in Australia are well worth the price we are paying :-)
Recently bought a new induction range, and consequently was in the market for compatible pans. I wanted to replace my old 2" deep, large capacity non-stick pan, but I can tell you the selection was minimal. Many stores couldn't even find something comparable in size, let alone one that would work with an induction cooktop. This pan was a great find! Well constructed but not overly heavy, cooks evenly, sturdy lid and handle. My new favourite! Don't let the price tag scare you, it's worth every penny!
I fell in love with SCANPAN products a few years ago. Time has only confirmed my opinion. I was looking for a saute/stirfry pan and tried this one. It is wonderful. It is perfect for my needs. It is sturdy, well built, snd perfect for my needs. I had guests over for a few days, and it became their ?go-to? pan. It is a good purchase!
If a person had only one pan this would be the one. I have been fortunate to own 6 Scan Pans and I never once regretted the purchase. They are the best pans I believe. My Dad was a chef and he would have liked them even though Chefs use stainless steel like "All Clad" in the restaurants. And Chefs don't do the dishes. LOL
Fabulous pan - excellent quality. I bought this as I’ve just moved and the kitchen has an induction hob so none of my frying pans would work. Just what I needed to be able to go from hon to oven. The only downside is it is extremely heavy but that is counteracted by the grab handle. With hindsight I would have gone for the smaller version especially as it is touch and go to fit in my oven.Excellent service as always from Harts of Stur.
The pan is very solid and have even heat. The size is right for 2-3 persons. It is heavier than the ordinary one, but not too to be lifted. I cooked a variety of food for the family and friends.
