This Scarpa hiking boot uses a new and unique dual injection technology that develops an exoskeleton, elevating the upper support and protection to new levels for a direct injection boot. The graded thickness of the injection allows a progressive flex to be developed, facilitating a perfect balance between torsional support and instant forefoot comfort. The inner, softer PU affords outstanding shock absorption and is strongly housed inside the outer layer, while the new last is centred on delivering that all important instant comfort. The waterproof and luxurious Nubuck upper features thermo-embossing details to control the upper support and offer a truly dynamic and aggressive appeal. The lace furniture allows the fit to be controlled with both a lace lock and tongue centralisation facility. A hiking boot with unique dual injection technology that develops an exoskeleton, increasing the upper support and protection provided.

Always had Scarpa’s but recently brought another brand due to the sale price and they were okay. When I saw these come up for sale, had to get some and so nice to go back to Scarpa’s.Fit is great for my feet but disappointed that they are not made in Italy, hoping its only this model?

Extremely comfortable from the first hike. Love the lightweight feel and there is a good balance of flex/stiffness in the sole.

Has all the features I like, but 1 issue I don't like.Pros: Very waterproof, breathable, easy to slip on/off, excellent sole, very tieable laces that doesnt get undone, and excellent fit where my feet dont slip at all in the shoe.Cons: Only downside is that it digs into my Achilles! No blisters because there is no friction, as the shoe fits well. Just the pressure is concentrated on the posterior-superior part of the shoe. Brought on fatigue after a long day's walk. Glad to take them off. Hopefully they will stop doing that after I use them for a while.
Scarpa - No longer Italian quality. These Scarpa are made in China, and are not the quality of Scarpa of the past. The size is odd - I have bought 8/9 pairs of Scarpa 43's over the last 30years. Rock climbing, hiking and mountaineering boots. My last pair of walking boots lasted almost 20years and a resole. These are a strange fit, and I had to upsize to a 44. The quality of the lining is noticeably starting to pull/wear.
I have a problem with the boots. I have had two walks in them and have a wide foot. I find the width in the front of the boot insufficient. After my second use, even with good socks my feet bleed and I have had to tape them for my other shoes and cease using the boots. Is a return or credit possible?
So far very comfortable, dry and study. Great first pair of boots!
