Scarpa Drago LV Climbing Shoe, White

Amazing pair of shoes! Rubber is super sticky and remarkably soft. Very good for both modern bouldering, and route climbing, on big volumes and minuscule foot chips alike. Heel rubber is quite good. Just sensitive enough to heel hook well without being in pain. The top toe rubber is also pretty good but it is also quite sensitive, so hard toe hooks give me slight pain. I ordered a 43 (around US 10) which is my street size and they almost fit like a glove. I ordered true to size for a more relaxed fit, and they still perform very highly. The break in period is basically one or two sessions. My only qualm is that the heel has some dead space. Maybe I just have extra low volume heels. Anyway, I highly recommend these boots because they perform well and look great.

Amazing sensitive and precise bouldering shoe

Fit like a glove. I usually climb in the Miura lace which are super stiff and easy on your feet for small foot chips. These are the complete opposite, very soft and sensitive so you can really feel and trust your feet - more versatile for all around bouldering. Great smearing and sticking to volumes in the gym. Great on toe hooks, heel hooks were decent but slightly insecure for me but only because I have such narrow feet even for the LV version. Expensive, but if you get them during a sale would recommend 100%. Note: I found they run smaller than LS. I personally didn’t downsize - I got my running shoe size 41 (US W9) which fit with no dead space. In smaller sizes my toes were so curled I couldn’t utilize the softness of the shoe to smear effectively

Amazing shoe

This is an amazing shoe. I found that I was able to smear on the worst volumes in the gym, while also being able to edge on some very tiny footholds. The shoe tends to be slightly better at the former, but is an excellent all arounder. The only downside I found with the shoe is that, although not starting with too much downturn on the tip of the toe box, it smoothed out completely after about 1 1/2 months. (Tbh that time period is better than some other shoes.)That aside PERFECT shoe.

Awesome Gym Shoe

I finally picked up a pair of Dragos after hearing so many good reviews. I'm happy to say that I was not disappointed. I mainly climb indoors and these are great for both bouldering and sport climbing. The shoe is soft, comfortable, and very grippy. Compared to my usuall go-to, 5.10 Hiangles, they feel a bit more downturned and definitely more asymmetrical. The tip of the shoe is also more pointed, allowing you to be precise on sketchy footholds while also doing a great job smearing on walls and volumes. For your reference, I am a street shoe size 6.5/7 and got a EU37.5. The mondo sizing (which is just in mm) was right on the spot. Brilliant LV design

I have long, narrow, low volume feet (EU 41 US W 9 AA width) that are hard to fit with climbing shoes. I sized down .5 size for a moderate "performance fit" and they are fantastic. Size 40 also fit, which I imagine would work for high performance needs. They are flexible and sensitive, and the rubber is very sticky. There is no significant deadspace. They perform beautifully on small jibs and volumes, and on overhangs. They feel fantastic to wear climbing and since they are slightly stretchy my feet don't hurt after wearing them for long indoor sessions. They might work for overhanging rock routes, but the rubber is not durable, a trade-off to be expected.

One of, if not the best pair of climbing shoes I've owned. I climb on a competitive team and currently already own two pairs and am going to buy the third soon. For me, they were a perfect fit right out of the box and maintained their structure until I felt I needed a new pair. The soft rubber is sensitive enough that it allows me to feel anything and everything on the wall as if I was climbing barefoot. On longer routes I find that my foot will occasionally cramp due to the obviously intentional lack of stiffness in the shoe, however this in no way takes away from the quality of the shoe. One of my biggest turn offs of shoes is when they feel so uncomfortable that I feel I need to take them off between every climb. However, this is a very soft, split sole shoe with very soft XS Grip 2 rubber - so I assure you, they WILL stretch. Initial sizing is on the small side, but wear them for a few sessions and they'll quickly stretch a half size or more. If you're afraid of the initial fit, I'd recommend sizing up one half of a European size.Like the regular Drago, they have rubber in all of the right places, but a little less material on the upper, a narrower heel, and a slightly narrower toe box. So if you found yourself swimming in the regular Dragos like I did, give these a shot. Toe and heel hooks just feel so much more locked in when you have a snug fitting shoe that's this sticky.Aesthetically speaking, they're an attractive shoe since they're not colored with some retina-frying fluorescent colors that clash with every other piece of gear. I don't care much about the look of the shoe myself, but if you're the type that does, it may be worth mentioning that I get many compliments on these shoes.I especially appreciated the construction of the upper. Unlike every pair of Evolvs I've tried (and several other manufacturers shoes), there was no annoying seam above my big toe, digging into my knuckle and stripping me of my will to climb.I would definitely recommend these for steep and/or overhung routes/boulders. I would not recommend them for slabby climbs where you need to stand or pivot on many tiny edges - remember, these are very soft shoes.

But it had to be done. I've tried many climbing shoes and many brands in my time, but the Drago LVs and me? Like peanut butter and jelly. Like cookies and cream.I've got narrow feet with Egyptian toes, and this shoe wrapped around my foot like a vacuum-packed latex onesie. But enough about my Saturday night attire.This shoe is soft. No, like REALLY soft. Think a pillow made of candy floss and Drake selfies. That kind of soft. I had a dificult time to fit "advanced" or "aggresive" shoes from my beginner shoe, as other models hurt me in different parts (small finger, upper part of feet, etc). I have been using Scarpa shoes for a few years now for outdoors, indoors and competitions. I have always been a big fan of Scarpa shoes and especially the models in their performance line (chimera, Drago, instinct vs/vsr/lv). I have always loved the way they feel on my feet but the heel bow never seems to feel as tight as it should feel and often I would feel the shoe slip off when using heel hooks. the first time I tried a low volume shoe it was the instinct vs lv and I fell in love with the fit of the shoe. the rubber on the instinct wears off really quickly most of the time which made me a bit skeptical when I thought about using dragos since the dragos are way softer. after trying the classic version of the drago I was agreeably surprised by the fact that the ... MoreI have been using Scarpa shoes for a few years now for outdoors, indoors and competitions. I have used them for about three months now both indoors and outdoors and it has been a pleasure to climb with them. the best part is, the rubber hasn't shown signs of weakness yet! I think you shouldn't buy a shoe only based on the comments people made about them. shoes are very personal and everyone has different experiences with them. if you have been in the same situation same tho I would highly recommend the dragos LV.
