I've been climbing in Miuras LU for the past few years and decided to change things up recently. After reading the reviews I ordered these in full size larger than Miuras and they fit like a glove! Sticky rubber, moderate curve + overall comfort, these shoes will take you on an adventure. For reference, my running shoes are 7.5/38, my Miura's were 37.5, Vapors are 38.5.

Picked up these shoes about 8 months ago, and have used them for all of my climbing, from indoor sport/bouldering to outdoor trad lines. Super comfortable fit, and nice supportive platform that isn't too crushing on the toes. Fit is nicely tuneable with the laces. Performs great outside (Super comfy jamming), pretty good in the gym on easier stuff, once it gets super steep a little more downturn might be nice.

I have a pair of Scarpa Instinct VS; they're excellent for bouldering and short sport climbs, but they're too uncomfortable to keep on while belaying or for long multi-pitch routes. I thought these would be good for those days. So far, I like them. I love laces, I can get them to fit just right (once the rubber is warm), and they are comfortable to wear on flat ground. I think I should've gone up half a size, though. Both pairs of shoes are 42, (I wear 43 street) and I think 42.5 would've been more comfortable in these shoes (42 is perfect for me in the Instincts.)Also; the rubber is a lot firmer than the Instincts and more supportive, so my feet still feel big and clumbsy 6-7 sessions on.

These are my new favorite crack climbing shoe. They have the low profile toe for slipping into hard to jamb size cracks and the flexible rubber over the tops of the toes protects well.I wore these climbing on Southern Utah sand stone a lot this spring and after ten years of looking I finally found the perfect crack climbing shoe.Size them comfortably like you would any crack climbing shoe.

Be aware they do run a bit smaller than other models. In the instincts I am around a 41/41.5 and in these I am a 42. If you have instincts, I?d order these at least a half size larger than those.As others have mentioned, I?d consider these a moderate/flat shoe. They pretty much immediately lose their downturn after the first time you climb in them. I don?t mind that because I actually prefer flatter shoes, and it makes them pretty good for slab. However the one downside to this is for whatever reason, the stiffness doesn?t really seem to last in the soles. Recently on a relatively short Multipitch with hanging belays my feet were absolutely killing me after just a couple pitches. That being said, they are still a great allrounder, but if you?re wanting these for longer climbs I?d look elsewhere. They edge really well, and the xs edge rubber provides a nice balance of stickiness and durability. I mainly use these on granite climbs ranging from slab to vertical, and for that purpose they are wonderful. I like them enough and they fit my foot perfectly that I?ve bought a second pair but I?m considering exploring other options now just because of the sole stiffness durability.
My number 1 priority in a climbing show is comfort and fit, second is performance.These hit the spot and outshone any shoe I've ever tried on. My feet are quite wide and bulky and I usually go with Scapa and Evolv because they fit me better. These all-arounders fit like a glove and streched less than a half size. It took about a week to break them in. After 4 months of indoor climbing with the odd day out bouldering outside, the rubber is still going strong and is still sticky.Heel-hooks, toe-hooks, edging, they are just good at everything!If they had them in orange color (like the old model), I would buy a lifetime supply of this shoe.

The laces also make it really adjustable.- Fit is great for me: width is snug and confidence inspiring both front and back, length is perfect (minor toe curl), and the heel is really tight. The shoe slips on andmakes that satisfying suction sound as the heel gets sucked into place.- I wanted a shoe with good stiffness, low to moderate downturn. I mostly use this for rope climbing in the gym- Wanted an unlined leather shoe to control the smell- Looks pretty cool IMOOther thoughts:- I bought them in my street shoe size, but they seemed to be much tighter than any of my street shoes in that size (can't really walk around in them without killing my toes, need to pop off the heel after a few climbs)- I'm still breaking them in, but from what I'm told these don't stretch that much and I haven't noticed much stretch after ~10 hours of gym time.
I wear a size 9W/40. My previous shoe was Chilies size 39. So I ordered a 39.5 in these and they were so small. I exchanged them for a 40.5 and they are still too small but I decided to deal with the discomfort and hope they stretch. This is my first show with a more aggressive toe and I’ve liked them so far. The grip is impressive and I like the extra rubber On top for the toe hook.
I purchased Scarpa Vapor climbing shoes for the first time recently. I was initially very impressed with the shoes. They were comfortable out of the box and performed exceptionally. However, I only used them a handful of times and they already have a hole in the toe through the leather. Generally, I have been able to get several months of use from my climbing shoes and am able to resole them a few times before the wear is too damaged. It seems that the Vapor has a design flaw in that the toe rand comes to a narrow point with a small gap in the rubber where the leather is exposed. I contacted Scarpa warranty directly but they did not stand behind their product. Very disappointing.
I normally wear size 39.5 in La Sportivas. Bought the Scarpa Vapors in size 40. They are more like size 38 in La Sportivas. Here is a comparison pic with my TC Pros (39.5). Can't give you a review on its performance since I can't even get into them.
