These new cans with the "vent" knob on the top don't work. I have 4 of these... none of them pour fuel properly. The vent just spins, does 't tighten or loosen. They also are made of extremely inferior plastic. 3 of these have cracked be ause of expansion & contraction with temperature differences because they can't vent properly.Do a better job people.

Was pleasantly surprised when I went to replace two jerrycans I’ve had since the eighties ( both split near seam ) it had a vent hole and cap. Back to the old way of getting liquid from a container is the best. These fancy pour spouts with there tubes and triangle designs have sucked for years. I remember cutting my grandpa’s grass years ago and using the exact design the I bought. Hopefully the plastic lasts as long as the ones that split.

It works. It stores gas safely and is fairly easy to pour. My only issues are with the vent being tricky to open but once you get the hang of pressing down first (like a pill bottle) and then twisting it becomes quite easy, and I would rather have the cap on the can instead of on the nozzle, but that is probably personal preference.

Locking cap for the spout is just annoying and the lock mechanism is far too stiff. Yeah it's a safety thing but it could be better designed. The locking mechanism also interferes with tightening the cap properly, leading to leaks when you go to pour. The push and turn 'safety cap' on the air vent isn't even labelled as such (at least not that I can see) and given how long this design has been standard on medicine bottles, it is again really badly implemented here with a tendency to slip rather than engage when you push to turn.If there was another manufacturer making gas cans (at least that was available in Ontario) then I'd probably go with them.
I am not sure how to rate a gas can. This is definitely a RED gas can that holds gas. I suppose you could put other liquids in, but I would not recommend that.It has a spout so the gas does not slosh all over your sandals when you pour the fuel into your generator. That is good. I hate gas on my sandals. It does not leak.Seems like it is almost perfect for the use intended.
Excellent choice. Not too big and heavy and the self-ventilating is key. Previous was much larger and more difficult to move around, plus did not have the self-ventilating feature causing it to bloat in hot weather.
The jugs do hold gas okay but spout causes a limited ability to pour downward. With the handle shape and spout filling an automobile is ok bit a generator not so much. They are messy to pour into a tank with a top center gas cap. The child proofing of the cap is useless and inconvenient also the unique threads and size of the cap don't allow you to loss it or replace it with anything but a scepter cap making it as convenient having multiple gas cans of different styles, having just gone thru Hurricane Fiona and using a generator for 2 weeks has showed the flaws in this type of gas jug.
I purchased this Jerry Can and immediately filled it with Premium fuel at the Canadian Tire gas bar. As I drove home, I noticed the strong smell of gasoline. I pulled over and to my dismay, I found that the threads on the gas vent cap were stripped and the cap would not seal. Since the can was full of gas, I could not very well return it for replacement. So I guess I am stuck with it. I managed to seal the vent with Teflon tape, but I'm sure it will leak again. On the positive side, the can is double the size of my other can.
Bought this for my motorbike as I needed to top up at home sometimes, can't be bothered going petrol station for 15L of fuel. The only issue is I did not realize how heavy it can be when you fill it up. A bit of work to fill my motorbike. I actually underestimate the height you need to hold to fill the motorbike. In short, this is the one brand I buy. Owned a few small Jerry Cans for lawn mower, it is very solid. The nozzle is easy to attach and store. The vent definitely helps release pressure inside the can. Very happy with the purchase.
This can help the fuel perfectly, the spout fits into the coupler perfectly fine that there was no leaking any time I used it. I do need to mention I have not owned it for long but thus far its worked great. I would recommend this product. I did have an issue where I punctured a hole in one of the cans after it rode in a skimmer for several kilometers against a bolt. I did not realize that I had placed it on a bolt but that was my fault and not the can itself.
