Schecter Synyster Gates Custom S Black Gold

This guitar is absolutely awesome! Great look, great feel,and great price! Schecter has made this an awesome guitar! This thing rocks! I would recommend this guitar to anyone out touring with a band or just jamming out with friends at home. AMS has always delivered the best gear at the best prices. Ams can't be beat when it comes to customer service and the gear is always delivered quickly and in perfect condition. Absolutely recommend this schecter guitar and any equipment/gear you need from AMS.

A really nice guitar

I have been playing guitars for 40 years. I play out professionally( but its not my main job)I own gibsons, fenders, g&l and esp. I am mostly a strat player. But I saw this on SDOD and couldnt pass it up. 25.5 scale neck , ebony finger board, mahogany body, it checked the boxes. I don't really listen to avenge sevefold or that kind of music but i do find it interesting. The sustaniac is ok..not my kind of thing, and i think a good pedal could replicate it.. That being said, the neck pickup sounds pretty good... The bridge pick up is dark... and compressed...This thing is hot. Turning it down and its still hot.. I installed a coil tap switch on the invader pick up and suprisingly it cleaned up nicely. ( not sure why they donet give you one from the factory.. Subdued..nice craftsmanship.You wont be disappointed.. it has its own tone..a hybrid of star and les paul at times... ( not full strat ..but can cop some of it).being an older guy , playing for years i would say its a great guitar. if you can get it one sale, so it. If you can't its still a great ax.

Overall:This guitar is absolutely amazing. It sounds incredible. The sustainiac pick up is just insane. Very well made guitar. Ordering was extremely easy. I ordered it on a Thursday and received it the next day Friday morning!!! It came ready to go out of the box already in tune and everything. zZounds made it possible for me to own my dream guitar thanks to their payment plan. I would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone and I would definitely recommend zZounds to anyone looking to purchase a guitar.

I bought this guitar originally because I didn't have a guitar with any sort of tremolo and wanted to be able to do dive bombs and whatnot. The guitar stood out to me for just being absolutely killer looking. So I ordered it right away. The pictures really don't do it justice. I've gotten so many compliments just on how awesome it looks.The pickups in this guitar especially with the added coil tap feature just make tones and playability seem endless. Killer Axe Sustain System Is A Joy

Killer tone, sustain system is a joy to play with, glass smooth fretboard, ultra access cutaway set neck makes those higher notes a breeze to hit and sweeping is super easy. Has made my set neck axe a burden to play(Omen extreme 6). This will be my 10 year axe no questions. Only downer is it collects dust and fingerprints but a clean white sound always buffs them out with no effort. I use a cotton swap to clean the gold pickup cleans up in no time. 4 months of ownership the sustain and harmonic switches have become slightly loose but doesnt affect playing

LOVE IT!!

Overall:Right out of the box, it was setup perfectly. And it doesn't ever seem to go out of tune! Divebomb after divebomb, even with the strings flapping in the breeze, it has never gone out of tune. The action is perfect. Incredible sustain (even for a bolt on). Not quite the beast that the Syn Custom is, but for the price it is one hell of a guitar and has quickly become my go-to ax.

Now getting to this guitar , it's an amazing and beautiful guitar. But don't let the looks fool you , this thing shreds and what sold me was the " sustaniac " , this alone is worth the price. When you hit a note it sings for days , especially with dive bombs. This is not my first Schecter , I also own the demon 6 , which I also love. It holds tuning well and the floyd rose bridge is amazing , love the fine tuners also. I originally wanted the black with silver , but it was backordered. Got the gold dust and honestly I couldn't be more pleased , the pictures do not do it justice. I'm glad I decided to get this color now , the hardware looks beautiful. The only thing I changed was the toggle switch cap , I put on a gold one to match the knobs and the rest of the hardware. Finally thanks again to zZounds , this was my third guitar I've purchased from them and not my last!!!

This guitar sounds and looks the part, great quality and plays really well out of the box! Might need some adjustments but that’s to be expected.

I Love this guitar! The mahogany solid body and 3 piece-mahogany neck make this guitar have great tone on clean channels. The custom Seymour Duncan Invaders that Synyster Gates help creat are some of the best I've ever heard. The Neck pick has a nice meaty tone and the bridge pick up is that great hot sound great for distortion. What I was happly surprised by is the guitar has a coil tapping feature!Pulling up on the tone controls on the guitar turns the humbucker pick-ups into single coil pick ups. Pushing the tone control back down again reverts them back to humbuckers. This is my first guitar with a Floating floyd Rose Tremolo and its extremely fun to play with. The appearence of the guitar is stuning. The purple body with green pin stripes is the coolest guitar art I've ever seen. The inlays (which I believe are pearl) are sick! "Syn" and the "Death Bat" inlays are Strategically placed to make the neck of the guitar a peice of art. The only problem I had with the guitar is it did not come with a case. I wrapping it in blankes for protection tell I get a new case because it does not fit a normal case. If you have the money go buy this guitar or one of the other Synyster Gates Models! You won't regret it!
