With Schlage Touch, no key means there’s nothing to lose, nothing to fiddle with, and-for intruders-nothing to pick. All in a slim profile that’s every bit as sleek as it is strong. This allows for a clean fit between the front door and screen door. New touchscreen technologies don’t leave a trail of fingerprints, and let you punch in your code when it’s raining or you’re wearing gloves. The batteries last so long you’ll forget it uses them, and best news yet, it’s an addition that makes your home stand out, and keeps kids and mom safe. When you take out the key, it’s amazing what all you can add. Along with no more keys, there is a lower price thanks to the new lighting design. Schlage just made secure more affordable and longer lasting. If you've been on the fence about going keyless, Schlage just brought out the product to make up your mind to go for it. Along with safety and convenience, strong has a name.

At the end of the day, I’m very happy with it. It was more difficult to install than I thought it would be. The directions were more complicated than necessary (and didn’t read left-to-right, like you would expect!), were numbered oddly, and had poor diagrams. Additionally, even though my door width was within specs, the screws provided were about 1/8th inch too long and I had to source new ones. After all that was done, it’s very nice, and works well, quietly, and is solid.

Bought three of these to relock a new house 2 years ago. One of the units worked fine and still does. One had disfigured metal from the manufacturing process and needed to be adjusted with a grinder and spacer to work properly. A third would had intermittent issues closing the lock from the outside. We put it on a door we rarely use but should have returned it. The lock has now failed permanently.

Better appearance than functionality.

I bought one of these in November 2021 and was very impressed. However, over the past few weeks, upon entering the entry code, the dial would only spin and "semi" engage the internal lock mechanism. I took it back to Lowes and as it exceeded their return policy of 90 days they would not let me exchange it. I also tried calling Schlage twice; was on hold 20 minutes the first time and 30 minutes the second time. Don't waste your time. As I obviously needed a lock, I paid Lowes another 159.00 for the same model - had old paint lines I didn't want to touch up. That was two days ago and the new one is starting to do the SAME THING. And no, the bolt is not catching on the keeper and slides easily in/out of the keeper. I looked this up on you-tube and there are several ... MoreI bought one of these in November 2021 and was very impressed. I looked this up on you-tube and there are several videos that detail this problem - essentially a cheap design with a spring on a solenoid that is under-tensioned. Junk... I'm planning on taking this new one back and at least get a refund on the new one. I'm also going to do some research before I buy another brand!!!

Easy to install and program
3 May 2024

First I bought the Schlage BE365 with the larger toggle on the front. Programming and getting the key out of the lock was a little vague, so I called Tech Support and they walked me through on how to get the key out of the lock. I spoke to a very nice Lady out of Kansas. She was also able to walk me through adding both of our codes so that my wife and I can unlock the unit. I just had Lowe's install a whole new entry door with a screen door, once I was finished with the deadbolt install I went to close the door and it wouldn't close due to the locking mechanism hitting the handle on our new Door. So, I pulled that unit and put everything back in the box, returned it to Lowe's they credited my account for both the lock and the extended warranty. I picked up the BE375, installed that one in 15 minutes and programmed it as well. We love how it turned out and we're satisfied knowing that there's a quality deadbolt on our entry door, along with a Stupendous Customer Service Representative to get us out of a jam if we need it. The first pic is the model BE365, with the larger toggle, the second is the BE375 with the smaller toggle which allows the door to close and lock with the Storm Door.

Good……at first. Then NOT GOOD
18 September 2024

I’ve had this lock for about 3 years. The lockers worked well at first then the touch screen would not work and I could not connect to the lock with Bluetooth. Customer support was very good about getting me another lock but we still have issues with this lock. The key pad will not always work the way it should. I’m just waiting for one more episode then I’m buying a different lock.

Knob freespins 90% of the time
12 May 2024

I've had 4 of these products for less than a year and 90% of the time the outside knob is unable to catch and lock/unlock the deadbolt. The first 2 pairs did the same so I exchanged them. The current 2 pairs are now doing the same thing. It seems like this is a common issue with them, based on the other 1 and 2 star reviews. I'll be replacing these completely with another brand. This product should be better for how much it is priced.

Multiple quality issues
16 October 2023

I have had 2 different quality issues with these locks. First the lock mechanism failed on one deadbolt after about 2 yrs of use. The actuator would attempt to engage the knob but would fail to do so. Schlage did replace this lock under warranty but the replacement is now beginning to do it as well.Second, one dead bolt, somehow switched to requiring a code to lock the door but would unlock with the touch of the Schlage button. After multiple attempts of reinstalling and resetting the lock I eventually was able to set the lock so that you must enter the code every time you want to unlock or lock it. It is inconvenient and doesn't make me feel like the electronics of the lock are robust.

Schlage Touchpad Deadbolt Lock
13 January 2024

The Schlage Touchpad Deadbolt Lock is very good for people who do not have Wifi. The lock works using a 9volt battery. I purchased model type BE375VCAM716 in Aged Bronze. The same lock is manufactured in other colors and finishes. There is also a Camelot and a Century style. Those styles are different in that the Camelot style has curved edges and the Century style has straight edges for a more modern and sleeker look. The locks are made the same. The installation is easy, follow the instructions closely. You can also get the PDF online from the Schlage Corporation. The lock will fit doors where a regular deadbolt lock is being replaced. Stopped working upon installation

I ordered this online from Lowe's, because they didn't have any in my closest store. Imagine spending hours to research and then to install something only to have it not work. Why did it not work? I have no idea! It worked when I attached the battery. I finally figured out how to fit the battery in with the wires, for which there's almost no room. Their website offered nothing useful. So after spending hours significant installing the lock and troubleshooting the problem, I returned it. My nephew informed me that magnets could hack it anyway--kids are the worst, amirite? After additional research, it turns out that can happen because the lock not have been set up correctly. And if there is, it should be easily explained on their website. We not only pay for the product; we pay with our time. And if you spend several hours researching, shopping, and then it doesn't work so you have to disassemble it, reassemble the original lock, and then return the one you bought, you get a little upset.I cannot recommend this product. If you must have an electronic door lock, go elsewhere.

Same issue as many other folks have highlighted here... sooner rather than later you start having issues with the lock/unlock mechanism engaging fully, therefore the knob just spins. You end up having to enter your code several times before it decides to engage... if you're lucky. Replacing the battery has no effect on this. I've even gone so far as taking the lock apart and making adjustments. The mechanism design is simple and in theory should work flawlessly, but it just doesn't as many people have attested. Schlage needs to redesign this.I would buy it again if they would redesign and ensure quality and flawless operation. I don't need the more expensive ones that have wifi/bluetooth, etc. I've had three of these over the past few years, I want to like it ... MoreSame issue as many other folks have highlighted here... sooner rather than later you start having issues with the lock/unlock mechanism engaging fully, therefore the knob just spins. Maybe you'll get lucky and yours will last longer before the trouble begins. Or maybe Schlage will actually listen to their customers and address the issue instead of telling us to call their "helpful" customer service number, which might send us another one that will just degrade within a few months.
