Definitely my favorite smart lock! It looks great, comes in different styles and colors, is reasonably priced and has great features. I especially like the more recent addition of the easy connect button by the battery compartment. The model I purchased in 2017 did not have it but this 2019 one does and it makes for an easy and quick connection with your hub. Needed z-wave functionality. I was able to install and integrate with my Alarm.com system as a home owner with basic skills. Product is high quality with a nice build and finish. I appreciated the ability to get the finish in polished chrome to match my decor.

Z-Wave lock/unlock works great, keycodes work well, key itself works great although I almost never use it. I really like this lock...but...let me explain. We use this with our ring security system. Integration with the ring system is fantastic and everything can be controlled via the app, including assigning alternative users. It works great and don't have any type of report on battery life yet, but it was relatively easy to install. The only downside is that the instructions aren't entirely clear and there are several scannable codes that are needed that once assembled you can't see without disassembly. This didn't get 5 stars because it was proving to be difficult to assign codes before integrating it with the ring app. I partially think this is because I bought a wearhouse version and the previous user rewrote the default codes. Keypad goes dead intermittently. Ordered replacement units, same thing. Several calls with tech support, same thing. Unreliable when you’re standing trying to get into your house but can’t.
Easy to install and program. Like other users said , a little noisy but not a big deal to me. Overall a nice product. Ordering and shipping was good. I would recommend this lock for the price and recommend this store.
Schlage has an app for the Schlage Encode and the Schlage Sense but not the Connect. I have mine connected through the Samsung Smartthings hub which only provides limited functions: Lock, Unlock, and Battery Life. I made the assumption.. that the door attack feature would be included as a function such as: IF door attack THEN notification, but this is not the case. I regret spending the $260, should have gotten the cheaper one. But the plus on this $260 one is that the limited lifetime warranty is good for the finish and from the other reviews it looks like I will be needing that for the aged bronze. Other than the door attack just being an alarm and nothing else. It seems like a good product so far. I followed the instructional video. The two large screws that connect the plate completely damaged my plate damaged my brand new $2000 door. It cracked a huge chunk of wood off when installing. It should have mentioned using a drill, and it should have mentioned what drill size for proper installation. Schlage should be held responsible for the damage and liable. They should pay for a new door. I was planning on using a clear coat. The door is ruined.
This lock never stays connected to my wifi, If it gets to hot outside the touchpad doesn't work. Drains batteries insanely fast. We have to use a key with it more than the actual touchpad to the point we keep a key in every car and outside. We finally got rid of this couple months ago and couldn't be happier.

However once it was installed, and I was registering and setting it up, I was unpleasantly surprised on how many of the marketed capabilities are only through purchased apps. Apparently the better lock for me would have been the Schlage Encode. For that reason I had to give it 3 stars, as I was looking forward to more capability right out of the box. That being said, now that I've re-read all my research I see how the reference to Z-wave technology should've been an indicator to me that this wasn't what I was looking for.
