Had 11 warts appear aged approx 10. Within a few years. 1 remained ever since and was advised by my GP after his attempt at freezing it, that cutting it out would risk cutting tendons as it's located near my ring finger. So I use the Scholl Freeze Kit every so often, which hardens the wart and I file it down and reapply, sometimes the same day or over the following days. Used this exactly as per the detailed (and easy to follow) instructions on 2 small warts on thumb. Carried out the freezing 4 times (which is the maximum number allowed/advised) without success. Switched to the alternative Scholl product - Verruca Removal System 40% w/w Medicated Plasters which worked!

Well, I owe the doc an apology. Since I wrote the review below, one of the three warts treated with this product has disappeared and one of the other two has almost gone. The third is a whopper and has survived intact but two of three ain't bad. Original review. We bought this after trying other products on several varrucas on the soles of our son’s feet. The instructions tell you that the varruca with turn black after a period of weeks after the treatment, indicating that it is no longer active. They did. We only had to retreat one of the varrucas, after waiting 2 weeks between applications, as indicated in the instructions. This is a freezer spray and proven to work medically. In our case it worked a treat. I am surprised that some reviewers found that it didn’t work - perhaps they were expecting and instant reaction from the skin but you need to wait a while before the results are visible.
I've struggled with verrucas due to spending most of my teen years competitive swimming. I've tested many different treatments, most of which either had no effect or made the verruca worse. This one does work but it requires persistence, I apply every day for a week long with ice cold foot baths and that combo has worked best for at home treatment.
I seem to get little raised warts on my fingers from time to time and this is a quick, easy and convenient way of removing them. The applicator tips are quite large so, whilst if its a large wart or verruca it will cover it all, if the wart is smaller, you also end up freezing the surrounding healthy skin too! As Littlemiss has already advised, I would not use this on young children or children that don't understand that the application my be a little painful (I wasted many applicators trying to treat my niece's verruca!). To explain the 'pain' to you...when you first apply the applicator to the skin, it will instantaneously feel very cold. After about 15-20 seconds you will feel what I can only describe as a sharp stabbing pain. If used on thicker skin (e.g. heel of foot) it will feel uncomfortable to walk on for several days. However, I have found that covering it with a padded plaster helps a lot. Although the above sounds quite daunting, it does work and within a few weeks, your skin is fully healed with no scarring. Painful yes, but also effective! I just wish they would also include some smaller width applicators.
I bought this a while back and it did absolutely nothing. I previously bought this in 2016 and it worked but this time it did nothing. Instead I tried out a home remedy of apply apple cider vinegar to warts and without just a few days it went black and fell off. It’s so cheap and effective I definitely reccomend. I had 3 and they’ve gone. Do some more research there are also vids on YouTube so check those out.
Ihave had a couple of warts on my left hand in the last few years. The first one went eventually after I used an emery board to whittle it away. The second, I was told by my doctor to use Bazuka. This hardened the skin and I used an emery board to smooth away the skin, but it grew again. I have just used Forwarts and within two weeks the blister formed and the wart came off, leaving clean healthy skin underneath. Excellent.
It is very tricky to use this product successfully. The degree of freezing should not be too much or scarring will result, and too little will see the offending skin lesion reappear. The instructions could be a little more specific in this respect. The liquid nitrogen jet spray used by professional dermatologists is much more effective and accurate. However, this usually means getting a referral from a GP and waiting times for non emergency appointments can be very long.
I was nursing & warts are contagious. I had 3 warts on my hands. The biggest the size of a 5p on the tip of my right middle finger. It was cracked & bleeding most of the time. The other two warts were small & unnoticeable. I contacted my GP Surgary, but they said we dont treat warts these days. I treated them with this wart treatment, but it didnt cure them. I contacted my GP surgery & they Sugested an old wives remedy may work. Especially now that the warts virus had been weakened by this treatment. They Sugested wrapping a pice of fresh banana peal around for 24 hours. I found I couldnt manage the banana wrapping, in the day, but I was desperate.
