These tyres are made with the new Addix compound. Trickle down tech from the more expensive range. Reasonable weight. Not had them long enough to rate durability but good grip on the trails at Gisburn Forest and local muddy trails. Great price for quality mtb tyres.

Based on reviews I've read, I decided to replace my HT's front OEM tire with the Nobby Nic. Wow-what a difference! The tire grips really well and traction is unbelievable. It works great and gives me much more confidence with turn initiation into berms and switchbacks. If you're thinking about buying a Nobby Nic, do it; you won't regret it!

These tyres proved an excellent upgrade from stock Islabike tires (both my sons ride on those - younger on 16" and older on 20"). Rolling resistance is really low for a tyre with such a profile and they grip well when needed.

I bought this tire as a replacement tire on my intense spider. Good grip on loose over hard side wall is really durable. Setup with sealant this tire was the easiest tire to install it took about 15 my mins although I did need a compressor to air up.
Used as an upgrade for my other sons Cubie 160. Great for the price. Good grip and low rolling resistance.
These tires came on my Scott Genius, which I purchased for use as an all-mountain ride in CO, my tires need to be versatile. While these roll plenty fast for racing/xc if that is what you want, they are not reinforced enough for running lower psi for downhilling or some of the rockier terrain of CO. I have pinch flatted three times attempting to do this. Furthermore, when you run a higher psi, you lose a lot of your cornering traction because the center tread is the only thing on the ground and the wear pattern on these proves this. We don't get a lot of chances to ride tacky trail here in CO and not having great cornering traction in dry/loose conditions is a problem. I guess I've just had trouble finding the sweet spot for psi on these tires and I want more ...Β MoreThese tires came on my Scott Genius, which I purchased for use as an all-mountain ride in CO, my tires need to be versatile. I am shopping for new tires now and these are not on the list...
These tires are trash. Some things are too good to be true. Tried running these tubeless on 2 different sets of wheels. Maintained pressure for less than an hour. Theyβll work fine with a tube but donβt even waste the time/money if you are looking for tubeless useage.
I've only ridden this set once so that's all I have to go by but for once I was very confident in my cornering. I ride in Maryland were there are all sorts of different weather patterns and the day I went out it had rained a few days ago an there were leaves all over the place but like I said above, I felt very comfortable and in control on all corners and when chugging uphill they didn't slip once. if I could get my wife to give me some leeway on my bike expences I would buy 3 more sets to make sure I always have a set.
If you want a great entry level tire that is very inexpensive. This is your pick! My son loves it on his hardtail
If money is a concern to you, get these tires as I can see anything better for the price. If you want to get something more resistant to puncture get the Snakeskin version. Overall these tires have a perfect balance between grip and rolling resistance. It will inspire confidence on the downhill, yet be reasonable and light weight enough to crush these uphills. I've ridden 700 km on these and I assume I'll get them easily to more than a 1000 km. I punctured several times with them, note that it was at very high speed on steep rocky descents.
